Suing casino's because of husband's gambling...

I have no clue when Bravesfan is coming back, and there is no way I'm adding up all those scores in his contest. He told me that he would be moving this week, so I'm guessing that he's not quite settled in his new surroundings just yet. For now I figure it's safe for anyone in his contest to put your picks up for this week on this thread and he can sort out the mess when he finally gets back on-line (if he ever does come back *insert dramatic music*). <<<POSSIBLE OPEN TEAM FOR KKK'S CONTEST>>> With Eagan getting banned, I e-mailed him and said he could still send me his weekly picks for my contest. However, I have not heard from him at all. So, if somebody would be interested in taking the BUFFALO BILLS, just say so in your post below -- first come first serve. Remember, mention in your post you want the Bills and put down how many points you think they will score on Sunday (that's my tiebreaker). If Eagan gets in touch with me before Saturday, then he keeps his team. If I don't hear from him the person that claimed the Bills first will take over. If nobody wants Buffalo (they have a 3-1 record so far this season) then my picks for my team, the Steelers, will also represent the Bills. Pick away... Kaneel Shatters Masturbation World Record!
kkktookmybabyaway replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in General Chat
Damn, that's like one ever 30-45 minutes. I guess if you rub one out quick enough and then spend the rest of the time resting it could be done. But there's no way I want someone from Guinness sitting nearby keeping track -- unless she was hot... -
Frankly, I could care less about this story. I just found it funny considering the name of the high school. The band director could just say he wanted to re-enact WWII and have the Nazi flag run all over Paris again (high school, that is). Of course, the bigger question is who in their right mind would pull this kind of stunt in Texas of all places and be shocked at the reaction this performance caused?... http://www.newsday.com/news/nationworld/na...ation-headlines Texas Band Chief Apologizes for Nazi Flag DALLAS -- A high school band director has apologized for a halftime performance that included "Deutschland Uber Alles," the anthem closely associated with Adolf Hitler, and a student running across the field with a Nazi flag. Charles Grissom, Paris High School's band director, said his intention was to have a historical performance featuring the flags and music of the nations that fought during World War II. The show, titled "Visions of World War II," nearly caused a melee at Friday night's football game at Dallas' Hillcrest High School. "We were booed," Grissom said Monday. "We had things thrown at us. We were cursed." Paris' assistant coaches were even targeted as they made their way through the bleachers to a press box after halftime. "The assistant coaches ... got blasted, cursed," said Brent Southworth, Paris' head football coach. Grissom said he never intended to offend anyone, and he apologized repeatedly. "We had an error in judgment," Grissom told The Dallas Morning News in an interview published Tuesday. "Our intent was never to cause any harm." The show was performed in Paris, about 100 miles northeast of Dallas, a week earlier after the homecoming game against Athens. The band, which began working on the show in August, planned to perform it at the University Interscholastic League contest Oct. 15. The show also includes the flags and music of France, Britain, Japan and the United States. The flags were raised in intervals that corresponded with the music of the nations. An announcement over loudspeakers before the performance explained the school was trying to do a "historical, accurate depiction of the event." Mark Briskman, regional director for the Anti-Defamation League, said his organization received many calls and e-mails expressing shock "that in 2003, this type of insensitivity would occur." "This can serve as an educational tool that there are certain tools and certain symbols that still carry ... an amount of hurt," Briskman said. "It was a mistake, and they've apologized for it, and we basically accept their apology."

Week 4 Pick Results for Braves/kkk contests
kkktookmybabyaway replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Sports
Thanks for the kind words, the only thing that irks me is the 1 or 2 mistakes I make each week. I have each team's schedule charted out so keeping track isn't that difficult. I have an idea regarding posting individual matchups that I'm going to try and put into place for Week 5. And for those wondering what happened to Bravesfan, he told me that he was moving across state lines (and across an ocean, too) so he may not have Internet access yet... -
I guess I'm supposed to feel bad but oh well...

Week 4 Pick Results for Braves/kkk contests
kkktookmybabyaway replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Sports
No, this means one of two things. 1) Your picks go up against mine -- anybody that doesn't submit their picks has his team represented by me. 2) I'll be mentioning in the Week 5 Pick 'em thread that if Eagan doesn't give me his picks (I e-mailed him and said he's still welcome in my contest) then somebody else can claim the Bills on that Pick 'em thread (first come, first seve). If I don't get a response by Eagan the person that reserved Buffalo gets that team... -

AMEN! Oh, that used to rile me up when my co-workers did that. And of course, when they got the extra hours and didn't show up for work guess who the managers called? Yep. Too bad I never came in, even if I wasn't doing anything. And then, of course, I was the one who got in trouble the next time I came in for work. Well, you do work for the government, so I can understand the yearning to be pampered and have someone else do all the work. Me, I'm a rugged individualist -- give me a plate, some direction and I'll blaze a trail through the salad bar across the meat section and plant my flag in the dessert aisle (and shortly afterward, my bathroom). The funny thing about breakfast buffets is that although I love the never-ending supply of bacon, sausage, etc., I eat so much of that garbage that I can't function right for the rest of the day. Oh, and since you've been to Bangkok, I'm curious about something -- do they know what General Tso's Chicken is over there?...
