Hell thinking about it, I think all WarGames from '93 on were kind of lame with the exception of '96 (Which I remember being pretty good but haven't seen in 8 or 9 years). Does anybody even remember WarGames 2000 besides myself?

I saw them at a radio station concert back in '00 or whenever the song was big. They played for 15 minutes and opened and closed with "Blue" amusingly enough.

Anything but '95 (Shudders) or '98 (double shudders) would be good.

Disco Inferno? And does anyone get the "gothic comments" joke? I think he just uses really dated insults. Take out goth and replace it with emo in all of his comments and it'd still sound stupid but make sense (sort of). That's one of the reasons I think Jearan's a gimmick- I haven't seen anybody seriously call someone a goth in four or five years.

I believe you're getting Stone Temple Pilots and Jane's Addiction confused. They're not really that similar outside of their drug habits and the fact their popularity peaked around 1993.

What was left of wrestling fans were troll-like creatures like we see here. I'm a big Petty fan but they're not the mega-stars that I'd expect to perform at The Super Bowl halftime show. Should be a good show regardless.

I think the show is decent. I was just saying the weightlifting and contract signings knock it down from being a good show to just decent. And what the hell was the point of putting the Stallions/Islanders match after The Rumble? I know they were trying to kill time but couldn't they have just put it earlier in the show and served the same purpose?

Yep. Just saw the show for the first time a month ago. There's a decent Ricky Steamboat-Rick Rude opener, a good Women's Tag Team titles match involving the Jumping Bomb Angels and two really boring 15 minute segments that absoultely kill the show (Andre-Hogan contract signing and Dino Bravo trying to break the bench press record) besides The Rumble.

Only thing I've bought is some DVDs for myself...... I'll probably do all of my shopping when I come home from college on the 21st.

That's right I forgot to mention that. Though I doubt the match is anything special because from what I've heard Rude didn't get any good until his second or third year in the WWF.

Hasn't been mentioned yet but Jermaine told some newspaper that The Jacksons are reuniting next year with Michael and doing a World Tour. I'd be semi-interested in it if tickets weren't going to be a gajillion dollars. I'm betting it'll be the most expensive concert ticket of all time. Whether people buy them or not though is beyond me

It's entirely possible that Savage faced Rude as Rude debuted around October of '87 and Savage didn't turn heel until March of '89.

Thanks for posting that. That was from my first live show way back in July of '94. That match and the Lex Luger-Fake Undertaker dark match main event are the only two matches on the four hour taping that I remember (What can I say I was 6 at the time?).

I read an interview with David Simon where he says that Detective Sydnor is the only character to remian morally clean at the end of the show. Take that for what you will. Oh and Clark Johnson is going to be playing the newspaper editor and Detective John Munch is going to make a guest appearence this season (Which will make it the 10th series he's appeared on). I really wonder how they're going to work in Munch, it's seems like stunt casting but since it's The Wire, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.
