Vince has always showed favoritism toward Raw. Always. Even if he was mainly on SD for a great period, Raw will always be "his show" no matter how many others he has. Raw was first, period. Smackdown was created to compete with WCW. With WCW gone, Smackdown is basically just there. He is using it as a training ground, putting in a few established people (Angle, UT, Eddie, etc) to help work with the HUGE load of newer stars that they are trying to give spots to even when the writers can find nothing to do with the cruiserweights other than give the title to a woman and they fire the others. There is positively NO reason that Smackdown should have all of this new talent coming in. NONE. There are guys they could be pushing and aren't or weren't. Kanyon, Mysterio, London, the FBI, SOH (yes, I know some of them aren't employed there anymore)...hell...Rhyno and A-Train were doing at least respectable jobs. Oh, and I'm with the masses that say they should axe Holly and Gunn (even before this whole "unhappy" mess started). The FBI as a gimmick has a huge lot of potential behind it, and it has "history" enough that the fans could get into it and maybe even CHEER them if it was done right. Sure, they should really be a heel group, but a face group could do just as good if not better. The ENTIRE Cruiserweight division needs more than one segment every Smackdown. Period. They have too many guys there to not use them, and a good many can connect with the crowd. Rey and Chavo get great reactions more on their actions than their words, and even Shannon Moore could be great for an "underdog face" role as he was playing last year for a little while. Jamie Noble is a pretty good heel when he doesn't talk, so just let him beat the crap out of people. It just sickens me right now to look at the championship listing and see JBL and the Dudleys there, when they could just as easily have Rico/Haas or the FBI there, or any other two guys. The WWE Championship is DOA right now (and has been discussed elsewhere ad nauseum) so I'll just leave that alone. Smackdown needs a more proven roster, a few live shows a year to brighten things up, and a bunch of better writers. Some of the plots that have came out of SD in the past few months wouldn't cut it anywhere else but in the W-W-E. I have my own little ideas of course, but that's a Fantasy Booking thread for another day.

I wouldn't say they LIKED him, but they gave him some props for having the sack to take the bump. I wouldn't say I "like" him right now, but shit - he's got balls.

7/2 SWF Storm HOLT Report
The Amazing Rando replied to Mr. S£im Citrus's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
Something's wrong with that biggest pops list. Hartford must be insane. -
Trish: Paul London? What kind of name is that? You think you are a wrestler or something? London: Could be.

(`·._ (`·._.:The New SWF Stats Thread:._.·`) _.·`)
The Amazing Rando replied to the.weej's topic in Brandon Truitt
Wrestlers Name: Alan Clark Aliases: Bloodshed, The Apostle Height: 6’1” Weight: 230 lbs. Hometown: Long Beach, California Age: 23 Face/Heel: Face. Stable: MARTIAL LAW~! (w/Todd Cortez & Landon MOTHERFUCKING Maddix) Weapon(s): In hardcore matches, Alan will use just about anything and has in the past. Quote: "No matter what extremes I have to go to, I will get the job done.", "Expect the Unexpected." Looks: White long pants. Pure White boots. White arm bands. Ring Entrance: The opening notes of "Pardon Me" from Incubus begin to play and Alan Clark's face appears on the SmarkTron, his expression focused, and his smirk always present. As the first lines hit, Alan mouths along... Pardon me while I burst... BOOM! Pyro explodes from around the entranceway and Alan steps through the smoke, pausing for a moment at the top of the ramp to take in the crowd. (note: if he is first to the ring, he will walk...if he is second, he will run [place Funyon's stuff in there somewhere, preferrably as Alan stands at the top of the ramp]). Alan hits the ring ready to fight, whether first or second there, and can even immediately attack the opponent if they are there just to get the match underway. Remember...anything to get the job done. Stats: Strength: 5 - can lift up to 300 pounds a few times in a match, and maybe more than that once or twice if needed. Speed: 6 - quick little bastard...but not WC quick. Vitality: 4 - can withstand a bit of a beating, would have trouble in LMS matches but could survive. Charisma: 5 - dude...my promos rock! Style: Alan Clark is a technically based luchadore wrestler, that can use his speed on either offense or defense, but can also use the technical skills he has learned to make anyone tap out. Alan will do what it takes to win, though isn't exactly a cheater. He will stay in the rules when possible, but if you cheat towards him he will return the favor when he gets the chance. Eye for an eye, anything it takes. Also, Alan goes by the mantra "expect the unexpected" and fully uses it to his advantage to try and surprise his opponents. Sometimes going so far as to switch personas or attack before the match to get things going his way mentally or physically. Signature Moves: 1) Railbreaker - Any variation of a backbreaker. Simple, Tilt-A-Whirl, Pumphandle...Alan can do them all (within reason of course) This is basically a signature transition move, to help turn the tide back in his direction. 2) Northern Sunset - Northern Lights Suplex (usually used to counter out of a front facelock or as a quick suplex to knock the wind out of an opponent) 3) The Multiplex - (1) Snap Suplex (2) STall Suplex (3) Slingshot Suplex OR Stalling Perfect Plex if too far from ropes. 4) One Hit Kill - Y2J's Jumping/Running Enziguri 5) The Southern Rock - Alabama Slam - setup for various submissions and a quick way to swing the tide back in Clark's direction. 6) Simple Fate - Twist Of Fate Neckbreaker (tide-changer or quick counter) 7) Tumbleweed SSP - Running SSP 8) Desert Twister Splash - 540 Frog Splash. With the opponent on the ground, Alan faces the turnbuckle and hops up to the top, using it as a spring before flying backwards and spinning a full 540 degrees, doing the frog splash motions as he goes, and finally coming down onto the opponent. This move, if used laaaaate in the match, could get a two count or even possibly a three, but never in really big matches. 9) Rebirth – Phoenix Splash. (can occasionally get a pin, like the Desert Twister, but only against larger guys that Alan can’t take down with his regular finishers) 10) Kodak Moment - Corner Dropsault. With the opponent in the corner, Alan jumps up and shoves his feet into the opponent's chest and pushes off, performing a Kurt Angle-ish backflip (arms spread wide with good height) with a perfect landing on his feet. This move is Alan's premiere show-off move. Common Moves: Stiff Kicks Senton Splash to the back Lionsault to the back Standing Surfboard Enziguri German Suplex DDTs Ranas Jericho-style Bulldog Backdrop Suplex Standing Moonsault Slingshot Suplex Snap Suplex Sit-Out Scoop Slam Dropkicks Knife Edge Chops Rare Moves: 1) The Gamble - 450 Splash 2) D'yer Mak'er – Sit-out Spinning Pedigree (Apostle's old finisher) 3) Bloodmist - If Alan bleeds...this could potentially be a signature move. 4) Panic Attack - Full Nelson Cattle Mutilation (Bloodshed's old finisher) Finishers: 1) The Aftershock - Razor's Edge Crucifix Powerbomb WITH AUTHORITY. 2) The Execution - Canadian Backbreaker Rack A-Train Style (known as the De-Railer) 3) The Peacekeeper - Inverted Fisherman's Buster (Rare) NOTES: Alan Clark, in general, is a fun-loving guy. But when things do not start going his way he is sometimes forced to revert back to prior selves in order to try and recapture his essence and mess with people's minds. Expect the Unexpected. TAG TEAM STATS~~~!!! Team Name: Martial Law (w/Todd Cortez) Music: "Save Yourself" by Stabbing Westward Entrance: The lights in the arena drop out, leaving the crowd shrouded in darkness before loud shots of white pyro explode and the sounds of bombs and gunfire echo through the arena. The opening melodic chords and vocals of "Save Yourself" fade up as spotlights shine on the entrance ramp, showcasing Cortez and Clark, standing tall before the crowd. (Funyon stuff) The duo walks to the ring, their motions delibrate and intense as they hit the ring blah blah blah.... Sig Moves: Collision Course: Wayward tie-in - the double dropkick to the front/back of head. Basically one runs from the front and the other runs in from the back, both hitting a dropkick to the head of a standing opponent. Lights Out: THE DDT~. A Spike Stun Gun of sorts, as one man lifts the opponent to do the Stun Gun, only for the second to catch the opponents head (whilst standing on the second rope), driving it to the top turnbuckle as the second hops down to the apron. (This can be done out of almost any stun gun, and while it could be used to set up for a top rope finisher, it could also be a tide-changer if used in the right situation) (MORE TO COME) Finishers: Even Better Place: A Powerbomb/Reverse DDT combo that can be hit from anywhere someone can springboard from. Basically, the opponent is lifted into a powerbomb position, then the second man can come off the top rope or springboarding from the apron, floating over the opponent's head and clutching it, pulling it down into the canvas along with the powerbomb. High-flying, high-risk, high price. Total Rebellion: Total Elimination. The one-two punch finisher. Cortez will usually be the one to go high on this one. Urban Wrath (rare...submission): Alan's Wrath of Clark (Nagata Lock) + Cortez's Street Dreams (see his stats). YOU CAN'T ESCAPE, but it can be broken up. Notes: Martial Law is a combination of Landon Maddix, Todd Cortez, and Alan Clark, three friends who have been at each other's throats before in various situations, but have put differences aside in order to derail Revolution Zero and the stranglehold they have on the SWF. CLUSTERFUCKY STATS: Bloodshed The enigmatic original persona of Alan Clark, at least in the SJL, this part of the psyche of Clark is NOT a second personality, or anything similiar. It is a character that Alan has worked to perfection, so much so that he occasionally creeps himself out with it. Bloodshed LOVES blood, his own or others, and won't hesistate to use weaponry to draw it. Even though he is technically a tweener-face, he will cheat to win, and has done so...going so far as to cheat at least TWICE to win Mall Brawl IV. He also once tossed someone down a flight of stairs for his own amusement and then walked all over the guy's body. So that gives you an idea of the mindset of this guy, no matter how much Clark has already wrestled earlier in the night. ENTRANCE: Lights out. Lights on. Sort of. The lights in the arena go to TOTAL DARKNESS. Period. Then, the voice is heard... "Wait...And...Bleed!" The crowd explodes, still in the dark, as a five to ten second silence commences, at the end of the silence the lights come on and Bloodshed has appeared in the ring, and will usually attack the nearest enemy. In this instance, Bloodshed will have his hair disheveled as all hell, and may even already be bleeding, either through his own doing or from earlier in the match, and will be dressed in black/dark red with a trenchcoat. He may even fight with the thing on for a little bit. Above all, even with the entrance, this is going to be a huge shock for whomever is in the ring....especially if any of them happen to be Revolution Zero. Signature moves: Mainly most of Alan's, except without the insane high-flying stuff. He is more ground-based and even slightly power-based. Loves the Superkick and Simple Fate, just as Alan does. Finisher: Noted above, but with a power finisher in mind, he will be using the Bad Acid Trip (if necessary) which is a double underhook stalling suplex spun into a Tiger 'Bomb'. (I know it's not the original BAT, which was simply a Tiger Bomb I think, but hey...this is a big deal. Also, i think BAT 2.0 is the Harlem Hangover. -
Sweet Zombie Jesus... that main event makes my head hurt.

I have a few thoughts on the subject, and even though I haven't watched SD recently, I sadly believe my points will be valid and be true. 1) The New Guy vs. Cruiserweight Dynamic. As stated thousands of times...it's stupid. It's Brock Lesnar syndrome. Nobody gave a shit when he was kicking the shit out of the Hardy's and whomever else, but once he got into the mix with guys like RVD and then the Rock...people actually cared and started to boo him and even smarks began to take more notice. Mordy was brought in and was immediately fed lower-carders (cruisers to Vince) when he could have jumped into a mid-card feud with someone like Charlie Haas, using Haas' affection toward Miss Jackie as a "sin" (since Jackie is technically Rico's "friend") and wanting to cleanse Haas of his wrongdoings. Haas would get some face pops out of it and the second Mordy went after Jackie he'd get booed from the fanboy crowd. 2) Character Depth Something that I love about certain characters is the depth they can have. Mick Foley is great at it, and I cite "Cane Dewey" and pretty much the whole Mankind character as examples. The back-story was more than just a story, and got people to care. It also helped that he immediately went after the Undertaker when he debuted in the WWF, but he had a compelling enough character to make people give a shit. Mordecai had ONE teeny weeny dimension. He never gave a reason for his actions, ever. He could have been a new star character-wise if they had given him an actual purpose with a goal. "Cleansing the Earth" or whatever is NOT a realistic or believable goal, if it was - he wouldn't be WRESTLING. That's a flaw in the character there, is that there are very few "goals" Mordy can have that make sense. Kenzo has a whole different problem, as he is trying to play old school heel and say "oh well I hate America for what they did to us in the past!" ...so Kenzo, you are SOOOO angry at us that you want to WRESTLE, something that only 5 million people tops cares about in the WHOLE COUNTRY. If you really cared enough, Kenzo, you'd do something alot better than beat up some schmuck with a united states belt around his waist. If you want to go with suspension of disbelief for Kenzo, fine...make WWE seem like the most important thing ever -- but then Kenzo should aim his sights at JBL, a true capitalist twit that Suzuki would seemingly enjoy tearing apart, not some silly "rapper". Maybe it would work better if Saddam or Osama would have went after Run DMC, but they didn't. Hell, this is a big reason Sean O'Haire didn't fly once he started appearing on shows live. Besides the atrocious Hogan stuff, his true purpose was never really defined or executed in any logical way - besides wanting to see Spanky naked, I guess. If that's what he wanted, then I think he should have made himself a little more clear in his vignettes. "I came for pasty ass" seems to send a different message than "i'm just telling you what you already know". So I'm repeating what has already been said many times, but how cool would it have been to see Mordecai walking through backstage and having a wall of wrestlers just split apart and watch him like "damn, what the fuck is up with that guy". Actually wait, the fact that the guy has to walk through the backstage area doesn't even sound like a picture that would work on any level, cause he would just seem horribly out of place. Nevermind...trying to get all this over-the-top stuff to work in the less-than-kayfabe world of the current WWE is wearing me ragged. If you notice, you don't see this kind of stuff on Raw, though I may be forgetting a few exceptions.

I love the Slingshot Suplex too, but I think it would make it hard to be in a game because it's hard to animate, and it's not possible to do in a cage setting, meaning that the move would have to be blocked out of your moveset during those kinds of matches...and that's just the kind of thinking game designers can't deal with~

what do you mean "dreams" ...his entire life was created by Dutch and CWM inside Mario Paint. I also believe Dutch was created by Etch-A-Sketch, and CWM is totally a MagnaDoodle creation. Piss happens to be Play-Doh

Even though you won't probably read this, Flik...I can definitely venture to say Ced won't be around for reviewal, as he usually works until too late past the deadline anyway, though he may be around online around 3 PM EST or so...who knows. Sucks about the virus though, I had both my desktop and laptop fall to that last year during the summer. -
...Damn. That's all I can really say right now. RIP

Well, an auspicious start for the Sons so far, as I have next to no motivation to write against Supes. I need to work on my overall writing, and trying to do it against Mr. Maskosauras is like a kid with an Easy Bake Oven going on Iron Chef. There can be only one outcome. As for Ced/Eddy ...well, I haven't seen Flik since the day the card went up, though I did talk to Ced last night and he was having hardcore trouble putting thoughts to paper. I am guessing Flik's IRL situations continue to pop up (school/work and etc) and it's killing him. Same with me really, as I have been dealing with family and career things over the past five or six days. But I will come out now and promise that I will have something next show if I have to stay up every night for the entire five day period writing. Burn-out sucks, but i'll be back...and hopefully I'll be able to find Flik some time soon. -
So is there going to be a forum left by Saturday?

This is my favorite little group of quotes, put together for the comedy value of Slayer's quote. So then, who chooses Jif? -
i explained the "multiple personality" thing... Terrance/Janus has a real mental health problem (if it can be called that), and Alan in fact is just using his past as a way to screw with people, a scare tactic/mind game type thing...that doesn't exactly work.

Yeah, Sly...I wasn't trying to bust in on your turf or anything. So now Austin doesn't like pants?? Interesting.

If you don't somehow work the Konami Code (i believe that is the official title of it) into that match, I will be a sad losing writer. -
Dace, it's not ENTIRELY out of left field, as in storylines I did have Ced teaching Clark a few things here and there over the past few months, and with that whole arcade thing, I found it a nice way to tie everything together. Christ, who knew that silly change machine thing would lead to this... ...well, possibly me.

I assume Casket (maybe) and possibly War Games (for the "introduction of something nobody thought they would see).Z EDIT: A simplified War Games, the real thing might be hard to pull off digitally.

Vince McMahon not backstage at the PPV
The Amazing Rando replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
Vince was probably suffering from hot flashes after his long day in Hell preparing the zambonis for the freeze-over. I'll bet HHH loved the show, since it made Raw look THAT much better. -
This is my favorite bit of dialogue from the whole show.

Two Words: Stunt Granny. Real Answer: Bossman driving off with Show's dad's coffin and also for him getting Al Snow to eat Pepper.

SWF SMARKDOWN!! JUNE 28TH!!
The Amazing Rando replied to 5_moves_of_doom's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
Since when is Niagara Falls obscure?? Yes, I'm not being serious. Oh, and that was the show that I promo'd for but didn't feel like writing a match, and ended up drinking bears with Thor and riding in a...golf cart...i believe. -
Kibs is right, but I just want to clear up my own little demons as far as my moveset and character and etc, since i am quite guilty of it. I have finally gotten my character into something that I like and can enjoy working with. When I first came in, I wanted to use the Bloodshed character because it had alot of history behind it. I soon found myself unable to really capture the true essence of the character outside of the Mall Brawl. Bloodshed is and always has been what has been described by others in other feds as "a scary fraternity brother", basically a guy that likes to fuck around but you don't wanna piss off when angry. Bringing in the Apostle as a character was my mistake, but I was getting sick of the Bloodshed character and wanted a change. When I envisioned my storyline with Craig, it was my chance to get away from Bloodshed, and so I just wrote into it (yes, it was a goofy storyline, but the only thing that wasn't true in the history of the story was the fact that Craig and Ebon weren't actually the same person - everything else in the story was true from an old e-fed). Then came the Alan Clark stuff. I saw Apostle as a mistake and wanted to change it. I also needed a break (burnout) so I took it and came back under my "real name" and have used it since. Now, Kibs points out my back work to leg work switch. I was sick of constantly writing the back as a focus point and when the storyline with Royal/Landon came up, I decided that I would fabricate the Ordonez mentoring out of the fact that he was a JL referee and that Clark was a fan. It was nearly the same story I was hoping to do with a WF veteran if i got the chance to. Also, with Royal using the figure four and Ced using the reverse, I thought it would be perfect. So my style changed to fit working the legs (showing what i learned from Ced) and I don't plan to go back. Do I have moves that work the back or neck still? Sure. Most are only as callbacks to Bloodshed or Apostle and sit in my rare moves list. The other, the OTD, was brought out simply for Empty Arena and if i ever bust it out again...there will have to be a LONG story behind it and enough reason for Alan to do it. So I finally have myself with a character I like to write that has a storyline reason for nearly everything that has happened to him. My moveset might not be perfect, but alot of it deals with Alan as a character wanting to pop the crowd just as much as win the match, unless facing certain opponents where winning is more important. Man, that was long. I apologize.

This is the end... my only friend, the end...
