I've played 6 games now and I'm loving Madden. I'm not ready to say it's as good as NFL 2K5, but it's damn close, and it may surpass 2K5 once I get a chance to play it enough. I'm 3-0 in my Packers franchise so far, and I've created a QB for the Superstar mode and got drafted to Arizona, although I have yet to play a game. Tomorrow, I go online for the first time for my week 1 league game.

I don't give a shit about graphics. I love my graphically impaired old school games more than most newer ones. I'll probably pick up the game once I complete Tales of Symphonia (over 1 year of play, 50 hours and counting, best RPG ever) even though I have several unopened games like KOTOR. With Advent Children coming out soon, I need to play through the game so I can appreciate AC's story.

I contemplate getting that game literally once a week. I just got into RPGs 2 years ago and I love them, but I never have the time or attention span to complete most of them. Still, I loved the 2 hours or so I played on FFVII, and many of my friends tout it as the best game ever, so I figure it must be at least worth one playthrough. It'll probably take me a good year to play through a 40 hour quest, though.

So is there any word on whether the $16.99 rpice at Best Buy was a one day thing or if it alsts all week? I'm not a huge Taker fan and I really need to be saving my money, but for that price, I couldn't pass it up. No way.

Man... I want all these WWE DVDs, but I need not spend money right now since I need to save most of the cash from my paychecks. But it's soooo hard to pass this kind of deal up, and I'm not even a big Undertaker fan...

I haven't used it since the time you thought I was going to die. It's nasty and doesn't work well enough, often enough. Also, I need to be sober most of the time for work, and when I do need to be intoxicated, I'm 21 now so I can drink easily.

I got a free Official Xbox Magazine subscription after my free EGM one ended (and I signed up for these well over a year ago) but the issues don't come in baggies, nor do they include demo discs, which is the main reason I wanted them.

That's weird... I had a dream that Danny Basham and Val Venis teamed up, but Ashley wasn't their valet. P.S. I mark for hot chicks with a punk/skater fashion style.

Uh, and those who have actually PLAYED Resident Evil on the N64 understand why it is never spoken about. It is a complete and utter fucking abomination. It handles like a semi-trailer and is ridden with glitches and gameplay set-backs. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What? RE2 on the N64 was what introduced me to and got me hooked on the series. I tried playing the PS1 version afterwards, and it was inferior in every way except for marginally better quality in cutscenes.

Which is sad because they've always been my 2 favorite X-Men.

Damn, I should have gone. That alone would have been worth the absurd prices they charged for admission.

Online co-op sounds awesome. I need to go back and replay the first game, though. I got 7 hours in, moved on to something else, and then when I tried to pick up where I left off, I couldn't get into it. I need to restart.

As I have learned from Cheap Ass Gamer, Wal-Mart deals vary widely from place to place. Don't expect most Wal-Marts to be selling the game at that price unless it is in the ad.

God damn. I know Cassell wasn't happy in Minnesota, but that was a shitty move. Seems like every time the T'Wolves start looking really good, they fall apart. Now they've gone from 1 seed to missing the playoffs, and followed that up by signing guys like Mark fucking Madsen to 5 year deals and traded Sam Cassell for a guy who only averaged 8 PPG playing for the fucking Clippers. Well, at least it will add some interest to the Clippers/T'Wolves game I hope to attend at Staples this upcoming season...

I saw 311 live at the 2004 Warped Tour. They used to be one of my favorite bands, but ever since Soundsystem, their music has gone waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay downhill. It's not bad, but it's nowhere near as good as Soundsystem, Transistor, the blue album, etc. before it.

Didn't see that yesterday. I actually party less now due to work and the fact that a few "good" friends whom I hung out with regularly turned out to be bitches. I do drink more often, however, since I can buy alcohol whenever I want. Anyway, I started btoh a franchise and a superstar season yesterday, but couldn't finish a game on either because I was so tired. I started up the franchise since I wanted to play as the Packers, and in Superstar, I was drafted in the 3rd round, pick 11 to the Cardinals as an 85 rated QB who knocked Kurt Warner out of the starting position. One final thing- Has anyone else had problems with the downloaded roster? The save became corrupted on my Xbox, so I deleted it, and now every time I re-download it, it's still corrupted.

The article says that the husband is her bass player, not her manager. Not sure how old he is, though. What a crappy 2,000th post.

I'm liking the game so far. It doesn't seem as good as NFL 2K5, but I can't fairly compare the two yet since I have been so busy with work and Melissa that I have literally only had time for 2 games- A 37-0 thrashng of the Bears on Rookie and a 36-10 win over the Chargers in a re-enactment of the Packers' first preseason game (on Pro). The passing game seems a lot easier in Madden. In 2K5, I couldn't even complete half my passes a lot of the time with Brett Favre. I'm loving the new passing cone, by the way. At the same time, the running game seems much more difficult. I haven't played franchise or online yet, which will be the true test of the game. If Melissa can't go out tonight after getting in trouble for being way too drunk last night, I'll stay home, relax, and play some more Madden.

Fuck if I know. I only played MLB in online leagues. The game was horrible compared to MVP, and I traded it in long ago. I just got home from work and now I can FINALLY play my first game of Madden before ehading out for some beers.

Why in God's name would he try to remove it with a hacksaw? That's just begging for trouble.
