Here's what I can tell you about the original Dawn of the Dead movie: It has scary moments. It has amazing special effects. It has cool music. The actors are very likeable. It has humorous moments, that, while humorous, do not detract from the serious situations in the movie. They're funny because, well, it's probably what would honestly happen. The movie doesn't feel like a cheap fucking attempt to make money, like the remake and almost every single horror movie of the past 15 years does. The movie feels like, honestly...a STORY that you FOLLOW. I hope you like it.

My friend let me know that the 2nd show in Philly was absolutely awful. I last saw them at Vets Stadium last summer and feel it was their best show ever. I was surprised to hear of his dissapointment.
