They were in violation of the UN resolutions set against them, and the US decided to enforce it because the UN refused to take action. Hell, on the nightly news tonight - August 4, 2004 - it was reported that yes, the information was 3 to 4 years old, but that recent interrogations of captured Al-Qaeda operatives have shown at least two things: 1. That the attack plans were RECENTLY accessed - accessed this year - by Al Qaeda operatives. And, 2. Al-Qaeda operatives have disclosed that the plan was still considered "operational" by the terrorist organization. THAT is the reason for the terrorist alert - because regardless of whether the information is years old, Al Qaeda still seems to view it as a viable plan. And as such, people need to be warned. Keep on thinking that this is all just a ploy by Bush, and people like me will keep mocking you.

Much of this information has only come out through the interrogation of the Al Qaeda operative captured in Pakistan; the information is very current, in terms of when it was obtained, and likely had to be somewhat verified before it was disclosed to the public by Ridge. Why didn’t they put it out 3 weeks ago? Probably because they didn’t have it / couldn’t verify it three weeks ago. Christ, the conspiracy theories on this board will kill me yet. I'm 6', 188 lbs. I've actually lost around 45 lbs. in the last five months, which puts me in the best shape I've been in, sadly, at least 10 years or so. I'm not quite down to my target weight of 180, but hopefully in the fall I can establish a decent exercise routine and shed the remaining few, and tone myself up.

The only thing that's really in Monty Brown's way is the fact that he's a very limited and inexperienced worker, and at this point it's decidedly unclear whether he'll ever develop into a good worker. But as far as everything else goes, I do think he has the potential to be a star. He's got some good charisma, he's good on the mike, he's got a good look. Face it, folks, if this guy was even a moderately good worker, you'd be gleefully taking his jiz on your faces.

Do none of you read or listen to the news? Yes, it's old information. The reason they're even bringing it up is that they've been hearing a lot of "chatter", as the term is used, which have referenced those old plans. It doesn't fucking matter how old the plans are, they received information that Al-Qaeda may still be looking to hit financial institutions. But just dismiss it all off as political manueverings by Bush - and don't be surprised when you're written off as the morons that you are for believing that way.
