This episode is hilarious. And Batman proves he's D.C.'s #1 ladies man. Zatana, Wonder Woman - he gets ALL the best tail.

It would be awful, but I'd love it, simply because I'm an Old School NWA mark. "You can't stop.....The Midnight Rider!"
-
I'll do you one better, SP - I have gay friends who are AGAINST gay marriage. I.....don't really understand where they're coming from, but I don't think I could exactly label them as anti-homosexual.
-
Good to see you gleefully ignore that the majority of opinion polls taken on gay marriage show that the majority of Americans - at least around 60% is the consistent number - do NOT SUPPORT GAY MARRIAGE. I guess those tens of millions of people are just ignorant, backwoods hatemongers. Or they're all Republicans. Or wait, is that just being redundant? Face reality - most Americans don't support gay marriage. Are they wrong? Yes - but that does NOT make them all bigots who hate gay people. Trying to make this just an issue about Republicans is utter crap too, because it transcends party lines. The only thing that is going to change those people's hearts & minds is time. In time, they'll become more accepting of homosexuality and gay marriage will become a reality. Really, you need to come down - it's hard to see you way up there on that high horse of yours. Vyce ---Who has suspicions that you probably think the real reason McGreevey is leaving office is because he's gay.

And that's our fault....how? And it's our responsibility....how? Oh, I forgot - being a superpower, we have a DUTY to throw our money & resources at third-world countries who will, at the end of the day, STILL hate us no matter how much we've done for them.
-
If he did, Mike, he'd just grant them a pardon.
-
Fuck. They missed. Isn't that appropriate...oh you were just kidding, right? Classy - wishing death on someone who's views they personally disagree with.

Superman:TAS Vol 1 and Batman:TAS VOl 2
Vyce replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in Television & Film
Man, yet ANOTHER thing I've got to add to my Christmas list. At this rate, the price tag on all of the shit I need / want is already at least a half-grand. -
Is this even worth it? Half-life was pimped very heavily, and I beat that son of a bitch in about a week, and was astounded at why it was rated so high. It was a pretty decent FPS, but everything - from the storyline to the gameplay - was overrated IMO.

Why can't the WWE sign anyone that can actually DO different moves? Why does everyone have to be Joe Vanilla McBlandsville? I'm not so sure that they don't sign people (from the independents) who do have different movesets, and then immediately train them OUT of that in OVW. Oh God......as if Cena needs ANOTHER pointless midcard feud to mire him down.

What? In this day and age of ridiculous "JBL just caused Eddie Guerrero's mother to have a heart attack!" works, you're saying a semi-shoot angle such as the one proposed here, which would at least make for interesting (if not entertaining) TV, is a BAD thing?

President Bush, the worst president in history?
Vyce replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in Current Events
Is Bush worse than William Henry Harrison? I think not. THAT motherfucker lasted all of a month. LITERALLY. -
Anyone have a DVD recorder? I really need one, seeing as I literally have dozens of wrestling tapes that I want to copy over to DVD. But I haven't had the cash to buy a DVD recorder, since the cheapest one I've seen is still something like 400 bucks, which is out of my price range currently.

I love this thread. Five anti-GOP comments posted to "prove" that the party hates New York - currently hates them, today. Yet three of them? From NINE years ago or OLDER. Of the other two? One is from a conservative PUNDIT, not an actual elected member of the party. Nice try - you win points for making me laugh.

Oh Jesus. You might as well just stick Samo Hung in lingerie then, because it would be the SAME thing. (Except he's Chinese and she's not) Just as awful though.

Augusta?!?! My parents are from there. Which ToysRUs? Was it the one that's not too far from the Bobby Jones Expressway? You're right about it being poorly run, though. I have a friend who worked there briefly part-time just to raise some extra cash for the holiday shopping season. He quit after only a couple months because he couldn't deal with the bullshit.

At least Morrison had the decency to kill him off again. But THAT lasted all of maybe six months, right? THANK YOU, Marvel, for giving Claremont free reign to muck things up. AGAIN. I think we're a rare breed here. I haven't read issue 4, so I don't know if it was revealed that the "mutant cure" was real or not. If it is, and they DO "get rid" of Beast, I kind of hope it's by...."de-mutanizing" him rather than outright killing him. Someone on this godforsaken team deserves a somewhat happy ending. Plus it would open up an interesting can of worms, what with an X-Man deciding he doesn't want to even be a mutant any longer.....

Waitaminute ... the new "shit" is both powerful AND emotionally laced with reality?!? How could I not want to hear it now???. Thanks a bunch, Incan. Now I have to go burn all of my Smiths albums.

Pot grower faces murder charges for firefighter
Vyce replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Current Events
That's what I SAID - it's really an issue of jurisdictional semantics. Third-Degree murder IS pretty much manslaughter, just by a different name. It would probably depend on a case-by-case basis, due to the different facts of the different cases. In your hypo, it would depend, I suppose, on whether there was a law in that jurisdiction making it illegal to overload power recepticles. Your hamburge example: wouldn't work that way. Your joint example: this might trigger it, since the smoking of the joint is an actual illegal act. Cooking a hamburger isn't. Mike's right, though, you wouldn't have any evidence that this was the case (unless the individual being charged admitted to police they caused the fire with a joint). They may be liable in civil court, but not on criminal charges - unless they specifically knew that their products had faulty wiring, which had previously resulted in fires / deaths, and took no reasonable steps to prevent any future fires / deaths (by issuing, for example, a product recall, etc.). This is really a problem? This type of thing is 10 times more productive than any stupid "______ is my anti-drug!" or "If you do drugs, you support terrorism!" commercial ever could be. It's all moot, anyway, since all of these charges are just being made for leverage in plea negotiations. This'll probably be plead down to simple possession charges, and this schmuck probably won't see much, if any, jail time, though their actions have caused the death of a few individuals. -
Nah, it's called knowing military people who will explain what it's all about. But, hey, keep on with that "impartial" media. And, Jesse, compared to you, people suffering acute head trauma are brilliant. -=Mike ...Did you know that Kerry's campaign and ACT share a lawyer? No? SHOCKING! COORDINATION! I'll have to file a complaint later on today with the FEC.

I hate to gossip --- but KITT was a total closet case. -=Mike And, as Dave Chappelle showed us, KITT was racist as well. "Puerto Ricans are lazy, Michael."

Fuck Whedon. Stick to making shitty sci-fi space operas that are vastly overrated by the geek fandom. There goes the last hope that at least one of the regular continuity X-books would be decent.
-
Not necessarily - it's not as if the guy can still just stay in office. He's got people on both sides of the aisle calling for his head. But we shouldn't be surprised he's done this. Not a bit.

Pot grower faces murder charges for firefighter
Vyce replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Current Events
The underlying act was criminal; that's likely why they're bringing criminal charges. The murder charge & involuntary manslaughter charges are redundant - they're the same thing. Third degree murder is murder without a specific intent to kill, usually occurring after an act of criminal negligence or some other act resulting in a person's death. That's what we have here - this individual was CRIMINALLY negligent, which resulted in the death of these firefighters. -
Here's the question I want answered for me - Jedis can sense if another is strong in the Force, no? It's how they recruit children to be new Jedis. How many fucking times in the original films and in the prequels have we heard some jive-ass line like "I sense the Force is strong in you..."? And yet NONE of the Jedi seem to realize that they're hanging out with a dude, Palpatine, whose dark Force powers should make him glow like a fucking light-bulb to their keen Jedi senses??!?! They're totally oblivious to it. IMO, that's a big continuity problem. And please no one offer an excuse about how "he's probably so powerful he can mask his powers", because that's just so fucking lame. So you mean he's going to do what he initally PROMISED he was going to do? Small anecdote: This one was of the things that initially made me dislike Lucas and think of what a piece of shit he's become as a creative force. He was giving interviews way back in the EIGHTIES about how his "grand vision" for Star Wars was to have three trilogies - the original, some prequels, AND some sequels. Fast forward to when he finally gets off his fat ass and starts making the prequels, and suddenly he's changed his tune and said that he NEVER intended for there to be sequels, only prequels. Something minor, but I just found that so incredibly disingenous of him to deny something he himself had said - several times - just a few years before. I shudder to think, though, at how fucked up all of the EU stuff is going to be (at this point, the EU books / comics are the only Star Wars products worth spending your time on) if he decides to make sequels. Nothing he puts out will likely even touch the awesomeness of Zahn's initial Thrawn trilogy I would have to agree. The time frame is something that's REALLY hard to wrap my head around. It would have made more sense for the Empire to have been an established presence, and then base the prequels on how they achieved ultimate victory against the New Republic thanks to the treacherous actions of Palpatine and Anakin. If he's not including an original cut of the films in th DVD release, I'm passing on this. I'm not wasting my money on the goddamn Special Editions.
