  1. In all seriousness, Mike, I'm with you. I'm just.....I'm really quite stunned at how incredibly weak-willed everyone seems to be over there. And before anyone starts, there's a big difference between being against, say, preemptive military action, and just completely caving in and adopting a doctrine of appeasement to terrorists - which is what Spain has affectively done here.
  2. And the point of my post is this: If Kerry would learn to keep his big mouth shut about things like this, he wouldn't open himself up for deserving criticism from "jackasses" such as us.
  3. I thought three things after that match. 1.) The Lesnar leaving stuff really isn't a work. 2.) They're EXTRAORDINARILY pissed off at Brock. 3.) As of this moment (and things change, but as of right now), there's a better we'll see Goldberg re-signing with the company than Brock returning.
  4. As soon as the attacks occurred on 9/11, the FAA grounded all civilian aircraft. The UK quickly followed suit, discovering in the process that Big Ben was a designated target later in the day. The terrorists were arrested and no attack on your soil occurred. In other words, 3000 of my countrymen bought your safety with their blood and horror, and the suffering of their friends and families - - you're quite welcome. You said that far more eloquently than I would have, Marney, and I commend you.
  5. I actually thought about that very point over the weekend, and in all seriousness, I think that Spain has replaced France as most pussy European nation. France at least had an army to cave in to. The Spaniards did it to one single bomb. I think the situation was summed up rather well by an individual who's email was read on CNN this morning: after America was attacked, we responded by taking down two tyrannical regimes. When Spain was attacked, they promptly eliminated their OWN government.
  6. Actually, Mike, I think the new slogan should be Spain: Let the era of appeasement begin!!!
  7. I officially dub this new version "HELLBILLY Taker", and I encourage everyone else to follow suite.
  8. What do you expect, AS? Gerwitz likely came up with this angle, and how exactly do you expect a man with the brain of a junior high school boy to write such a storyline? To people of his mental maturity, women essentially just have two flavors: sluts and ugly chicks. Guess which one Molly has to fall under?
  9. Bill Maher is absolutely awful. He's just about unwatchable. And despite whether you think Conan is funny or not, he is the BEST host on late-night. Even assuming he's not funny......he's still far above Leno / Letterman / Kilborn / Kimmel.

    WWE on MADtv

Wow, they wasted all four of them on what was essentially just another opportunity for Frank Caliendo to do a skit involving one of the three impressions he's capable of performing. On the up side, though, Trish was very hot in that tight white shirt. And I've said this before, but they should really have Big Show do more publicity work for them. The guy's impressive looking AND has the charsima for it.
  11. Too bad the little shit shot himself, cause I'd have loved to personally see the State execute him.
  12. Carlin's okay, but EXTREMELY overrated. I'll catch shit for this, but oh well: Jerry Seinfeld. He's NEVER made me even so much as chuckle. I've sat stone-faced through everything the man's ever done.
  13. Well, it's guilt by association. Look at the facts as we know them: it's not been proven in a court of law, but all the evidence points towards Rob being a VERY disturbed human being - AND a pedophile. So, in one regard, just being associated with him (even a business relationship) can place a negative stigma on a party. Add to the fact that apparently he was using RoH assets (possibly an RoH computer, certainly a RoH vehicle) in the commission of his criminal / immoral acts, and it becomes even worse - his business partners weren't just associated with him, their very relationship with him provides him with the resources to go out and molest adolescents. Now, I don't know how things are in Japan (they DO love their rorikon), but I would think that most people just will decide to boycott any product or company associated with him.
  14. That's Mike's argument, not mine.
  15. King's a fine writer, but his best *horror* work is years behind him. Saul I haven't read too much of, I agree about Laymon, and Koontz I don't consider a horror writer at all - he mainly writes cheap, simplistic "suspense" novels (often with a supernatural flair) that are made into awful tv movies. But I digress - Clegg's pretty damn good. Start with "The Halloween Man" and work your way through his stuff from there.
  16. Not to mention, AS, the belief now that ETA was....well, outsourced to commit this attack for Al-Qaeda.
  17. Tax cuts murdered my family and raped my dog. Oh, and curse you, Mike - don't you know that the tax cuts only benefit the EVIL RICH? DOWN WITH WEALTH! UP WITH THE PROLETARIAT!!!!!
  18. No, it doesn't seem strange. No double standard should be applied. If Kerry's going to portray everything critical said about him as an attack upon his patriotism, then he shouldn't then be given a free ride to say what he wants about Republicans in return. Oh, and there is no such thing here as "he didn't know the mike was on." I'm positive that 99.99% percent of the time, politicians in general know what is and isn't said off the record. A ploy by Kerry to reference the "asshole" comment? Not likely, as that incident was years ago and most people have forgotten about it (or just don't care) - but I can see this as a move by Kerry to cause a little controversy and portray him as being somewhat "edgy".
  19. ....and will be back in the WWE by the fall, when the new football season rolls around and he won't be on any team roster.
  20. Hopefully she'll die within the first 20 minutes. But still find the time to bare her breasts. Several times.
  21. Feh. Lil' Jon is played. He got as much as he could out of that bit. I WOULD like to see more Ashy Larry, though.
  22. I believe the criticism is that Kerry originally supported the Patriot Act, but then flip-flopped on it, as he's done on about 3948 other issues in the past year.
  23. This all reminds me of that South Park episode where Mr. Garrison tries to get fired by being the biggest flaming queen possible. I'm sure those of you who've seen the episoe remember the moral of the story.
  24. Speaking as someone halfway through law school, I can most assuredly tell you that you could not be more wrong. We sue over everything here. And often do, for money, or just for shits & giggles.
  25. Frankly, I'll take John Stewart over Jon Stewart EVERY SINGLE TIME. Cause he's got a bitching ring, and is fucking Hawkgirl (at least in the cartoon continuity). Oh, and Lewis Black > a million Jon Stewarts. You KNOW I speak the truth.
