Which is a shame, because Batman:TAS and Gargoyles have the best writing and dramatic storytelling of any American animated series ever made. Still. To this day. Samurai Jack is cool and all, and certainly a great show, but it doesn't even compare to those two.

I like Punk. I'm a Punk fan. I think Hart needs his ass kicked, and I wouldn't be displeased if Punk was the guy to do that for him. That said, I'm a bit pissed off at Punk, because he's pretty much fucked up his spot at national exposure for some stupid indy feud. Was it worth it? That's not really that surprising, especially if you're using someone like Dames as reviewer. The match quality is really more about a mesh of styles than anything else. Take my WWE game. I've been getting ungodly awesome numbers from some matches simply because I'm feuding guys with great workrate against one another (Rey v. Tajire, Los Guerreros v. WGTT). But one of my most successful tag teams? My "custom" team of The Bad Ass Brawlers - Tommy Dreamer & Scott Steiner. They're my RAW tag champs and consistently put on 3* matches or higher because I pair them against guys with similar styles (the Dudleys, Orton / Batista, even Booker T & RVD as both guys have good brawling stats).

The REDKSINS?!?! It'll be.....interesting.....to see if Brock comes to my team. As for Rock's movie career......I don't think he'll be coming back full time even if the movie bombs. I think Rock has at least two more chances with his movie career. One - SpyHunter. Two - if that doesn't work, pair him up with another actual STAR that will aid in brining in the box office. Johnny Knoxville isn't that star. Neither is Sean William Scott. Or Michael Clarke Duncan. Everyone loves Christopher Walken, but people don't go to see movies just because of Walken. Put Rock in a movie where he has dual-billing with some other popular actor and he should be fine.

I love that one too. I agree about his short work. I've got 1408 on tape. King reads it himself, and really takes advantage of the book on tape format in a way I've never seen. Music plays the reading in and out, and the way it comes in to close out the story, it makes you jump out of your fucking skin. I've listened to it a couple time, it gets me a little even when I know it's there. "NINE. THIS IS NINE. YOUR FRIENDS ARE DEAD, EVERYONE YOU KNOW AND LOVE IS DEAD!!!" I first heard (yes, heard) "1408" when I rented the audiobook from my local library. The "Blood and Smoke" collection. That story freaked you out? How about this - I listened to it while driving down a long, dark, 40 mile stretch of highway at about 10 o'clock one night coming home from a late evening class at college. Trust me, it stayed with me a few days after that. The other two stories sucked. But "1408", that's a true gem.

Batman: The Animated Series and Gargoyles are the two best animated series ever produced for American television. Everything else falls short. I don't really list shows like Family Guy or Simpsons as "cartoons".

I've seen that film probably close to two dozen times now, and it never gets old. By now I can actually say Morgan Freeman's lines at the end, using my ever trusty Morgan Freeman impression. Just a great, great movie. It's the one movie where I can set aside my distaste of Tim Robbins. How this didn't win a billion Academy Awards I'll never know. Another good ending - Todd Browning's Freaks. Those carnie folk don't like being fucked with.
