  1. I love the original. I've seen pretty much every episode of the series (no simple thing, as it's been running for something like 13 years or more), and still love it. I watch it almost every single day and I've YET to grow tired of it. SVU is a fine program, although truth be told, more often than not I get annoyed with Meloni's Stabler character (it seems as if he tries too hard to be a badass). I INTENSELY dislike Criminal Intent. Probably because I absolutely LOATHE the Donofrio character. He's written like a modern day Sherlock Holmes, and I fucking HATE it.
  2. My GOD you are a moron. A complete and utter moron. You have absolutely no concept of who Saddam was or what he did to his people. I mean, Christ, go watch a fucking History channel special on Hussein.
  3. Silly rabbit. I think we all know the real reason HHH was traded - To show that he's considered the most important person on EITHER brand.
  4. Heck no. We hold them back all of the time. It's not Israel's fault that they are considerably more effective at their task than the Palestinians are at theirs. Mike, have you read any of the link provided by Slapnuts? Great stuff there. Like this: Apparently, the Palestinian population has *increased* because of ISRAEL.
  5. Saw it finally today, and really, really dug it. A ton of fun, and frankly, I'm tired of seeing people whine about this ripping off 28 Days Later or bullshit like that. 28 Days is a very good movie, but this movie was nice on its own merits. Two things that keep nagging me, though (and I know why they didn't happen - because the movie would kind of be pointless if they did, but still....): 1.) Okay, let's assume that the virus (or whatever this was) spread fast. Extremely fast. Still - you'd think that the military would at least be able to "purify" some areas of the country using conventional weaponry - explosives (bombs, missiles, etc.), low-level nukes, etc. You could argue that they don't want to a) kill any survivors or b) damage important cities, but if you're being overrun by thousands of dead, why NOT use them? I refuse to believe that EVERYONE is dead and the government / military couldn't at least do this in certain areas. The government has all sorts of scenarios / plans for shit.....and while I'm sure there was no "Plan Z" for "zombie infestation", they'd have plans on how to deal with the spread of virulent diseases as well as plans for how to repel invasions. Shit, they could just modify some old Cold War plans to repel a Red invasion. I would think, though, that those in the government infrastructure left (and there would be some) would go ahead and try something drastic to eliminate some of the numbers of dead. 2) They're dead, right? They're decomposing. Theoretically, after a while wouldn't they simple decompose to a state where they were no longer a threat - i.e., even if they were still "undead", they'd be too rotted to chase and kill people. If this was the case, than it's possible that the protagonists would have been safe in the mall if they had just stayed there a while longer, as the zombies would have decomposed past the point of being able to cause harm. I mean....at least SOME time passed while they were in the mall and on the boat. I'm not sure how much, but some - at LEAST a week, possible more. Wouldn't the zombies have rotted by then? I'm no expert on forensic pathology, but I know that corpses - especially those out in the elements, as the zombies were - decompose rather quickly if they're not preserved. So, if you follow me, shouldn't a significant number of zombies already be decomposed substantially by the time they left the mall? Muscles atrophied, altogether too weak to pursue the survivors, etc. Eh, maybe I'm thinking too much.
  6. So Eddy & Cena & Angle are safe from HHH. And the danger is now back upon Benoit & Edge. Well there is absolutely no upswing to this now is there.
  7. I suppose I don't hate the other stories (after "Low Men"). But they just don't really interest me. Unfortunately, most of what King has written after Bag of Bones hasn't interested me as his earlier work.
  8. RAW HAD gotten the better of the deal last night. That doesn't mean you should start sending shit their way to make up for that.
  9. I haven't read Talisman, so I can't judge it, but I have heard it's a somewhat difficult book to read. I don't think Rose Madder is a bad book, but it does very much fall apart at the end, when King forgoes the fairly interesting psychological horror plot in favor of a bizarre supernatural ending. I must agree about "Gerald's Game", and "The Girl". The latter is particularly awful. I would also add - everything in Hearts in Atlantis after "Low Men in Yellow Coats", which.....well, which is pretty much the entire book outside of "Low Men". King's take on Vietnam doesn't interest me in the least. As for the Dark Tower series - you'll just have to start at the beginning, but you might want to wait until the end of the year, when (I believe) King publishes the last of the Tower series (and, if you believe him, "retires"). Then start with "The Little Sisters of Eluria", which is a prequel of sorts, followed by the first of the DT books. The thing is, though, King has inserted Dark Tower bits and pieces in a MAJORITY of his books. You can find parts of it everywhere, it overlaps quite a bit. For example, you like Insomnia? It ties in IMMENSELY with the Dark Tower series.
  10. Yeah.....wait, what? [/butters] You're ribbing all of us, right? Because I can't believe that someone as stupid as you seem to be has enough higher functions to be able to type on a computer keyboard, let alone post on a message board.
  11. Entrapment doesn't apply here because there is no state action. One can only be 'entrapped' when it has been done by the state, i.e. the police. That's how PJ can get away with this. And frankly, what they do raises some concerns with me - especially since they seem to invite these sick fucks into private neighborhoods withOUT the consent of the neighbors (and trust me, I'd be plenty pissed that they invited a pedo into my neck of the woods, even if it was to bust his ass). But you have to balance those concerns with the greater good, and in that case, I think they're justified in their actions. Also, sadly, I can picture this being Dreamer.
  12. Wow. They do look rather......British. Pasty white and British.
  13. Beating up Antonio Pena causes a riot? Shit, the heels beat the shit out of him every week down there. Cibernetico, Charly Manson, Aguila....I think they draw straws to see which of them beats the old man down that week.
  14. I thought about making one.
  15. What a load of shit. Rob, a victim because of the society we live in, which doesn't openly accept homosexuality? 99% of the people who criticze Rob aren't doing it because he's gay - no one gives a shit if he's homosexual or not, it makes no difference to anyone (unless, of course, he's lying about his ex-partners, as Hijinx has claimed). It's the fact that he's messing around with underage boys that has everyone up in arms. Whomever this is really sidesteps that. "Yeah, I know that's bad but......uh.....14 year olds are really mature these days...." Anyone want to venture a guess as to who this may be?
  16. How exactly am I wrong, Jobber? Hamas DOESN'T want to kill all the Jews? The vast MAJORITY of Palestinians don't support - or at least contribute - to the culture of violence and terrorism against Israel?
  17. Jodi Fleisch would have been perfect for this, if he wasn't a half-cripple at this point.
  18. This doesn't totally surprise me, as if there's one thing I've noticed in my entire.....oh, one month.....history of watching lucha libre (on Galavision!), it's that for whatever reason Latin Lover is VERY over. And he can actually be a decent worker at times, when he's motivated (or perhaps when he's coked up). One question - did Jarrett get any help in his big win from Leatherface, Monsther, or any of the other shitty heavyweights they have running around in AAA?
  19. That didn't seem to help Leon Klinghoffer much. Mr Sharon, I salute you. Shit. Bringing up Klinghoffer is THE perfect response. Sometimes, I really you.
  20. Hey, now, let's be fair - it wasn't HIM saying that, he just HEARD that others were. Big distinction, of course. ] Oh, and feel free to PM me that link.
  21. Unlike the Europeans, the Israelis know better than to appease the terrorists. Or rather, they understand that the terrorists will never be appeased so long as a Jew draws breath in the Middle East. And BTW.....Hamas IS a terrorist organization. If the Palestinians were truly peace-loving people, they wouldn't get upset that an evil man like Yassin got what was coming to him. This is great news to wake up on a Monday morning. Apparently, all that was left of Yassin was his head. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
  22. Even several prominent Democrats are coming out to defend Bush against what are becoming apparent are several telling inaccuracies in Clark's book. And then there are, of course, the reports that Clark was "disgruntled" at not being given a more prominent position within the NSA....
  23. No, I'm solidly with AS on this. Yeah, it's great Kurt can still wrestle! All he has to do is deal with that whole pesky losing feeling in his extremeties thing every time he does so.
  24. It's only a bad misrepresentation of Dean if you conveniently ignore the other 393 things he'd said or done during the course of his campaign that made one question his mental stability. Silly boy, don't you know John Kerry won Vietnam - SINGLE-HANDEDLY??? Visual proof! Full credit to kkk for the pic. It's the funniest thing I've seen in a while.
