Someone needs to inform Kerry that yes, we can criticize you for the way you treated veterans after the Vietnam War WITHOUT somehow questioning your patriotism.

This is exactly why I'm 100% against allowing foreign-borns to become President.

I've seen TONS of ads for Eurotrip - and only a fourth as many (if that) for "Confessions", and yet that did much better than Eurotrip. Kind of disappointing. Forget "Against the Ropes" - after the poor showing of "Mooseport", can we officially label the Ray Romano movie career D.O.A.? Or will Hollywood crank out a couple more stinkers with him before they get the hint? Oh.....and my latest conspiracy theory is that Gibson created all the controversy around "Passion" himself just to get a big box office.

Please, EVERYONE knows we already have him in custody an are just waiting to admit it in October so that Bush is reelected.

I didn't much care for it either. But it did have a few good episodes, the Faith arc, Spike's monologue, Angel and Wesley dancing. I agree. The first season had its moments, but it wasn't fantastic. One thing I don't get is people's fondness for Doyle. Hell, the series didn't even get good until AFTER he kicked the bucket. Why do people care about Doyle? Wes totally blows Doyle away in every singe way possible. And in several ways that are impossible. Dude, PUPPETS. C'mon. The only time puppets were ever NOT cheesy was "Meet the Feebles". I'll give them credit, though - it wasn't anything retarded like the goddamn musical episode that every single one of you seem to love. But anyway.....here's some possible spoilers. Don't think they've been posted here before. S P O I L E R A L E R T OK are you ready for some GOOD news.... This info is for episode 5x18 taken from spoilerslayer.com: Angel: Episode 18 "In the offices of Wolfram and Hart, Wesley is looking for information on Cyrus Vail. Vail is actually a very old and wise demon sorcerer (think Lo Pan - 'Big Trouble In Little China'). He's just received a visit from a very angry Angel, who just killed all of his guards. Angel thought Vail was trying to kill Connor, which wasn't the case. Vail needed Connor to know who he was. Angel doesn't understand how Vail knows about Connor, and we discover that Vail helped set up Connor's dream-life scenario. Wesley discovers that Vail pulled together mystical resources and sorcerers from around California, to cast an extremely powerful spell the day Angel Investigations signed the deal with Wolfram and Hart. Angel is learning why, as Vail fills him in on the details of the fantasy life they built for Connor. The truth is, Vail needs Angel's help. He needs someone killed, another familiar name from the past, Sahjahn. Angel figures this shouldn't be a problem, as he's still where Angel left him back in Season 3, in the Resikhian Urn. Which Vail just happens to have. Angel wants to leave him there, but Vail realizes correctly that he would still be a threat. Urns are breakable. He gives Angel some extra incentive. Either he'll help Vail, or Vail will use another spell to remove Connor's false memories. Angel reluctantly agrees to kill Sahjahn. But there's a slight catch-22 involved. The prophecy foretelling Sahjahn's death, describes the only person who can kill him. Connor. Vail gave him the perfect life, and now Angel has to take it away from him."

Will this spark another round of Democrats whining that he cost them the election? Nader will have as much effect now as he did then - zilch.

I'm the WWE. I'm currently at 99% GLOBAL. As far as refs, announcers & production goes, I basically can't go any higher than I am. If it's a bug, I may be screwed, because it happened on not one but TWO shows. I'll play again tonight, but if it happens on a third.....there may be a serious problem here.
-
Wow. There isn't a band on there I'd pay to see.
-
Okay, I've got a serious problem. I put on matches that should equal good final ratings - at least in the eighties - but instead, I can't break out of the seventies. For example, my crowd reaction may be 86, and the match quality is 95.....and I can't get above a 75 overall. It does this for EVERY MATCH. And some of the angles. What the fuck is this? A glitch? Corrupted files?

Jeb Bush's Church & Correctional Facility
Vyce replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
But we don't know if it is! These aren't hardened criminals, these are the guys who have been on good behavior and if anyone acts up, they're immediately kicked out. We have no idea if this actually works or not because the government is making it a self-fulfilling prophecy. Then do a study on the program, heathen boy. -
I say nothing but Charlie Murphy skits from now on. CLASSIC.

Yes. Yes, I can see this. I want pictures of her in the catsuit. I'm going to need that to offset the pictures of Halle Berry in *her* catsuit.
-
I'm seeing nothing but a whole lot of truth in that article. ESPECIALLY the part about the announce teams.

Any body have any particular recommendations for his books? Cause I read "Maximum Bob" once upon a time and I hated it sufficiently enough to never read anything he wrote ever again.

If it cuts down the recidivism, I'm not going to complain about it. -
How about this: despite the golden boy image, deep down Angle's just a sadistic bastard. Who's also an overachiever, and thus needs the belt to feel complete. BTW, Angle's psychotic stare tonight pre and post beating was fucking kingsized. LOVED IT.

Anybody know what promotion Michiko Oumaki is working for?

SWEET. Gimmick editor = TEH AWESOME.
-
I don't know. I just don't. Puppet episodes? Maybe it is time for the show to end.
-
I'm excited about Revolver too, but at the way things are going, by the time Weiland is out of jail / rehab, Axl really will have released an album.
-
I don't know what the Megalomaniac video is all about, unless they're pulling some sort of MoveOn.org Bush-Hitler comparison, which seems all the rage these days. Brandon Boyd's too pretty a man to try and have a hard edge to him.

If Roy Moore simply broke the law to make a statement, I'd still not like his statement, but I'd consider him another one of those people breaking laws to try and send a political message, and hey, a lot of things good and bad have come from peaceful lawbreaking conduct. But he was also costing state taxpayers regardless of what they thought of his position. Now, San Francisco is facing a lawsuit from a conservative group over this. But the suit was quickly filed before the marriages were even being performed. It was a reactionary lawsuit filed when news broke that they were investigating performing the marriages. So the taxpayer is paying fees whether the marriages were performed or not. And in that case, hell, might as well do the marriages. They were going to be paying the price regardless. Amazing. I'm not sure I've ever seen an advocation of lawbreaking on the one hand and admonishment of lawbreaking of the other argued quite along those particular lines. I sincerely wish I could believe you're REALLY taking a "cost-efficient" attitude.

I don't get the fascination with GNR. I would have figured that any goodwill fans of the band have would be gone after 10 years of Axl sitting with this thumb up his ass instead of making / releasing music. As far as the latter goes, those people have good reason for their hatred. I'm convinced that definitive proof of Sasquatch will be found before this album will be released. No, he lived and sat around with his thumb up his ass for 10 years before deciding to release another album, and still expected us to buy into hype which was dead and buried long ago to all but the most hardcore of GNR fans.
-
But the Mayor broke the law. Roy Moore did that in Alabama, and people like you seemed to have a big problem with that. Now, it's suddenly okay? Gotta have consistency, you know.

I agree with this completely. The Dudleys are just stale. The act is old and tired. Turning them heel would be a change, but let's be honest - they've done the heel schtick before, for quite a long time, and there's nothing to indicate that Heel Dudleys 2004 would be anything new or different from what we've seen before. Is this just residual ECW memories people are still living off of? Because they couldn't hack it in singles competition. Whoa, WHOA. I shit on Orton ALL the time, and rightly so, but I'll say this: Orton is 10 times more deserving of the upper level heel spot than the Dudleys.
