Dave's dead-on, though. Was it a boring fight? Yeah. But Koscheck flat-out beat Leben mentally, and worked a "smart" fight in the sense that he had a game plan going in, and he made it happen.

He should modify it. I'd suggest using the "straightjacket" variation of the Clutch that Jinsei Shinzaki always uses. I suppose it's good to see some Hassan fans here, since it shows that the character is working on some level, but I just can't really get that into him - yet. Mainly because while he does seem pretty good on the mike, he hasn't shown me anything yet in the ring that tells me he's something special (which was the knock against him before he even debuted). Maybe it's because he's never really been given a chance to show what he can do, I don't know. Hopefully the Benoit match will be pretty decent.

The problem with this gimmick (other than the fact that HHH will never allow anyone else to be a true main event heel, thus hampering anyone's potential progress) is that they don't go far enough with it. This guy should be even louder and more obnoxious than he already is. He should also be claiming discrimination everywhere. Lost a match? It's because the white referee hates Arabs. Not given enough high-profile matches? It's because the white power structure of the WWE doesn't want an Arab to succeed in the company. Really, they should do a continuing angle where he sues the WWE under Title VII for discrimination, and in order to make the suit go away they have to give him title shots, air time, etc.

I tend to look at in that Leben was easier to hate. The guy was a tool, an immature bad loser who was trash talking Koschek and the other middleweights [plus a few light-heavys] from the minute they entered the house. His actions 90% of the time were talking shit and annoying other people. You may find that entertaining and thats what you want from reality shows but its the thing I hate most about them. Whilst Southworth and Koschek are no Saints they look so compered to Leben. All he had was a loud abrasive style and a ton of hype which evaporated when he actuallty fought for the first time on the show. His final scenes shown where he is throwing a childish temper tantrum and crying his eyes out summed him up to a tee. YES. Besides, wasn't Leben the one who pissed in some guy's bed at the start of the series? But when Koscheck turns a hose on him, he's going to "break his teeth in"? Fuck it. He's a complete tool. Koscheck may be a pit of an annoying pussy, but I'll take him over Leben ANY day of the week.

I'm amused by the fact that all he can do is argue that the CONCEPT of the U.N. is what's important. It's all he can do because it's glaringly apparent that the U.N. in practice isn't worth shit, and hasn't been for a LONG time.

I've had a change of heart about the U.N. I'm willing to cut them some slack. They didn't have time to give the approval we wanted; when you're as busy as they've been, covering up the Oil for Food scandal and hiding the fact that your peacekeepers are molesting children down in Africa, damnit, your hands are just tied. If you watched the show, you'd have been sucked in, too. Leben against anyone else would not have garnered as much heat or compassion from anyone, but this was milked. The show set up us wanting to see these two go at it and Koscheck really looked heel here. Quit stirring the damned pot for no reason. Stop sucking Leben's cock? Please. Grow up. I have watched the show. If anything, I'm a bit disappointed that the worst injury Leben seems to have suffered is the one he gave himself by being a fucking retard. The disappointments this show brought were huge. Can't disagree there. In my eyes, Leben looked like a douche for not executing well at all in the fight, (He's been in 19????) and then crying afterwards. Josh looked like just as much of a douche because of his comments and the way he carried himself. I just don't see how you couldn't have rooted for Leben over Koscheck. After the show, not as many of us are still clamoring for the UFC debut of Leben. But were you really that apathetic to the whole situation before you knew what you know after tonight? I don't like Leben. I never have, since the beginning of the series. You guys may like the "fratboy" persona, it's a turnoff to me. I'm doubting it. The only reason I even watch this show is because it's done "Real World" style with something of a storyline. I sure as hell wouldn't watch it for the fights, because I've tried to watch MMA, and tried to watch MMA, and TRIED to watch MMA, and frankly I don't have the patience to watch something like 25 matches in order to see one actually GOOD one (I exaggerate a BIT, but honestly, that's what the ratio feels like: tons and tons of boring-ass or mediocre fights, and maybe in the whole mix you get one or two interesting ones). And even then the "good one" may last all of 3 minutes.

If, ultimately, Iraq is a 'success' (in at least some connotation of the word), than the so-called "Bush doctrine" may be proven successful. If it's a failure, than liberals / Democrats / anti-Bush folks will always have that to hold over his head just like the Repubs have Monica to hold over Bill's. The difference, of course, is that unlike Clinton, who's actions in office effected primarily just his own nation, Bush's foreign policies have remarkable (and yes, historical) implications on the world-stage. And whether they fail or succeed, either way, it makes him historically relevant. Mike's right, for good or ill, Bush WILL have one hell of a legacy after he leaves office. I think he means, "now that Bush BECAME president, I think he's a historic figure and that's why I'm releasing these tapes." You're thinking about the show "Mutant League". I remember the show, in particular because it was developed as the animated adaption of a series of Electronic Arts games for the old Sega Genesis. As for whomever brought up Darkwing Duck - GREAT show, although since it was made by Disney, I don't know how obscure one should consider it to be. Still, I adored that program, and I'd love if Disney put it out on DVD (for whatever reason, they've been very slow to release their series onto DVD - hell, they're just now getting around to putting "Gargoyles" on DVD). EDIT: Wanted to add this. Anyone remember the show "Mighty Max"? It was yet another TV show modeled after a toy line (and there's a side question - anyone remember the toy line???).....or maybe the toy line was modeled after the TV show.....anyway, the show was pretty enjoyable - Max, along with his sidekick Virgil and bodyguard Norman, fought monsters with the use of his magic baseball cap. Trust me, the execution wasn't nearly as horrible as it sounds. It was a pretty good show as it had a good mix of action and comedy, and best of all it didn't really take itself too seriously. Plus Max was voiced by Rob Paulson, who's done like a billion different voice acting gigs.

I can't get into Milk Chan either. It's just so entirely nonsensical that it gives me a headache from watching it.
