Please, more damage has been done to the ecosystem of the Chesapeake by those goddamn snakehead fish.

There was tension between Huntress & Batman, in particular, because a large part of why Bats dumped Huntress is because she had previously murdered someone in cold blood. And yet he replaces her with Cassandra as Batgirl - who once murdered a man (although, granted, the argument can be made that she was brainwashed / didn't know what she was doing at the time). Anyway, the new Batgirl is actually a pretty interesting character and a good addition to the "Bat family".

Because it's scandalous and people love scandal. And besides that, they're public figures, and thus to a large extent, they have no private life to speak of. Or at least they shouldn't.

Are you shitting me? If it's Hillary in 2008, forget about it. There is no situation where the conservative base turns against their candidates / potential candidates when paired up against HER. Forget Bill - SHE is the Clinton that the conservative base REALLY hates. It doesn't even matter if the Republican candidate winds up being someone who's considered more "liberal" like Rudy - they'll support him over Hillary, because the alternative (i.e. Hillary winning) is much, much too frightening to contemplate. Look, your little scenario fails to take into consideration that Bush has done a lot of things which have upset his own party, but they sure didn't turn against him in this past election. Why? Because no matter what their issues with him were, they couldn't perceive that things would go better for them if Kerry was elected.

What do you look like... (Pages 1 2 3 ...73 )

I know, I know, but the feds won't allow us to exclude them from the board any longer. -
You know, I like Sizemore, I think he's a good actor, but in many respects he's just like Scott Weiland, in that no matter how talented he is he always finds a way to fuck his life up cause he loves drugs too much.

If we're still throwing in comics, might I add "The Walking Dead". Just read issue 15, and I have to say......okay, I know this is a book about an apocalyptic zombie holocaust, but man, COME ON. Every issue involves something horrendous and / or graphically violent happening to the main characters.

This is different. The other stuff, that was at worst just bad pub. This is bad pub PLUS a potential lawsuit (likely sexual harassment or hostile work environment). I can see Orton & JBL getting punished for this, although I'm not sure to what extent (especially since JBL is champ and I don't think they're going to have him drop the title any time soon).

I don't really watch this show because....well, I'm not homo for MMA like a lot of people here are....but I've seen a few episodes, and I have to ask, Leben is the ugly fucker with the short of curly reddish hair, right? Yeah, of them all, he's the one I would most like to see get seriously injured. For real.

I trust Frank more than any director of the BBC. Frank, quite honestly, has about 1,000 fewer idealogical axes to grind than any representative of the BBC. Race may not be the driving factor in the criticism against her, but, at least in the editorial cartoons, it's too often imbedded within it, for no good reason other than just to childishly insult her.

*bangs head against wall* Please, go read the first post again. This WAS part of the 9/11 Commission investigation / report.

Please, I'm so all about the WWE producing a buddy-cop flick starring Jericho & Benoit. I mentioned that in the Smackdown thread. Fuck, I'd watch it. Benoit plays the badass, but by-the-numbers investigator who's paired up with the free-spirited, loud and somewhat-obnoxious hotshot Jericho, who's in it for the glory and is a bit of a loose cannon (but that's forgiven by the brass because he gets the results). The two are assigned to stop the recent crime wave that's hitting the streets. Throw in Christian, while you're at it, as the smarmy, ambitious detective who's always competing for the promotion that Benoit / Jericho deserves, but who turns by the end of the film into a tweener, as he lends some much needed backup to our heroes during the big final fight scene. You can't tell me that this thing wouldn't sell. I've just given the plot to about 39,405 different B-movie action flicks (which this would be), and this would certainly do as well as those do. The money the WWE could get just by selling the rights to Cinemax alone would be worth it!

Oh, you'd like him. He's insane, a vile anti-Semite (despite what his equally-insane followers argue) who, as Mike's sig demonstrates, has a history denying that various monstrous atrocities such as the Holocaust and the Khmer Rouge ever happened, all of the while blaming America for....pretty much every evil thing that happens in the world. You know how some hard-right conservatives throw out the label "anti-American"? Most times it doesn't fit, but with Chomsky, it fits like a goddamn glove. Therefore, YOU would absolutely LOVE this cuntrag.

Someone sell me on Elmore Leonard. Because I've only read one of his books ("Maximum Bob"), and I loathed it with such a passion that I've never picked up a single thing he's written since.
-
That's why he's one of the greatest actors of our generation. He's goddamn old school in that he's talented, but at the same time he's a huge prick to everyone.
-
Surely there can be no argument on this board that you're a complete moron.
-
Oh, I agree. There is a world of difference between a guy nobody heard of and the head of the news division at CNN. -=Mike This was my point. Jordan has infinitely MORE influence that whoever this other schmuck is, which is why everyone should be uneasy over his reckless and unsubstantiated claims. Mike is primarily talking about the editorial cartoons, which at times rather blatantly use racist or stereotypical depictions / caricatures of Condi.

Or if the majority of the people on that plane were black. That much I learned from Michael Moore: the brothers, apparently, would have kicked the hijackers ass, but whitey was far too afraid to lift a finger.
-
This is why you can't be taken seriously. You went from arguing points, to a cheap line of hate. This is Noam Chomsky we're talking about. I'll be dancing a jig when he croaks, just like I did when Said kicked it, just like I did when Arafat kicked it. I just hope that Chomsky has the decency to fucking die soon.

Frankly, I didn't know about this press corps guy until recently, and I don't think I've ever said that what he did was right. I'm just pointing out how bat-shit you are for hyping his actions, whatever they may be, up as a supreme injustice upon humanity while at the same time completely triviliazing the fact that a man who has considerable influence over a news network that provides information to MILLIONS of people is insinuating - erroneously and utterly without proof - that American soldiers have murdered civilian journalists. I'm not saying that one is right and the other is wrong; but I'm damn sure going to mock you if you don't think Jordan's remarks aren't something to be concerned about - and not in the sense because they are true.
-
Sweet Jesus, if they're going to go through the trouble of making cheesy B-movies starring WWE wrestlers, why the hell can't they make a Benoit / Jericho buddy-cop flick? I would see that in the theatres, buy the DVD, wear the fucking t-shirt.
-
Oh my God. Jericho & Benoit as cops in a Basic Instinct spoof is the greatest thing ever. In the history of the world.
-
Nice to see folks like NoCal are having selective memory lapses in their effort to, surprise! blame it all on Bush & co. The ineptitude of the bureaucrats involved, as is indicated by the quote I pulled, had been going on for YEARS, long before Bush got in office. Please remember that the 9/11 commission wasn't too kind to the Clinton administration in its critiques either. This story just reinforces what we already knew: that 9/11 was a monumental systematic failure of numerous governmental failures. There is a huge amount of blame to be spread around.

MOST of the X-Men are extremely (no pun intended) overrated characters. Oh God, whom do we have to thank for THAT pointless resurrection?
-
You're right, that's clearly worse than the head of the CNN news department making the false claim that journalists are being assassinated by the United States military. MUCH worse. I don't even know why we're all having an argument here.
