I'll complain about "Tom Goes to the Mayor" - it's an absolutely awful show. Not funny, very hard to watch. I like 95% of the other Adult Swim toons as well, so it's not as if I'm picky or anything.

Fans of awful literature everywhere mourn.

In theory it's a nice idea, but seriously, they can't even book enough matches for their PPVs, let alone for some sort of special. Unfortunately, this sort of "supercard for free!" concept became outdated as soon as the bigger promotions (WWF / WCW) started having monthly PPVs. However, I would say that this could be great counterprogramming to run up against other networks.....in certain situations. For example, running a show up against the Superbowl (although it would probably get slaughtered in the ratings) or some other major sporting event.

Huh? I thought the story's about how he wants to ban the Red Cross because they WON'T accept blood from sexually active gay men (a position on the part of the federal government which is justified, given the statistics).

Predictable and pedestrian. Way to rock the boat, guys.

Double post.

Two words: Basket Case. They'd better make damn sure that second head isn't still alive.

Then they'll just go with Plan B - feud him with HHH for 2 or three months after Mania, at which point HHH wins back the title at some PPV and buries Batista as not being on his "level". Then we get another multi-month reign of HHH as champ. Wait, who am I kidding? That's not plan B - it's plan A.
-
So why was he hired? They need a new JTTS to feud with Val Venis on Heat, or a new JTTS to feud with Hardcore Holly on Velocity?

You know what this thread needs. Lots of pics of joshi babes. Make it so.

Indeed, particularly because it's something I can most definitely see him saying.

Well, it's nice to see they're grooming Morgan to be the latest job boy to Old Man Taker.
-
And you don't see conservatives praising Hannity or O'Reilly terribly often. But for some inexplicable reason, Rush gets mad props.
-
Ah, someone finally used the "I'm more intellectual / sane than you because *I* don't believe in imaginary people who live in the clouds" approach. It's nice to know that we conservatives don't have the market cornered on closed-minded intolerance.

No, he's a hypocrite because he puts himself out to Joe Christian, and yet is completely intolerant of the homosexual lifestyle - even to the point of effectively estranging his own daughter. Christ, of course, preached that all of his followers should be tolerant and accepting of others, even if their behavior is a sin unto God; but I guess Alan missed that day of Sunday school.

Jesse has done one thing: Enrich himself by pimping out people too dumb to realize that he is not their ally or friend. I don't, personally, view that as a positive. -=Mike Once again, not calling it a positive. I am saying that he has done something noteworthy and/or has been a part of American History. Rush asked for extra ranch flavored butter on his fried taco. I am not getting what separates him from the people that he attacks. Rush played a major role in the Republican takeover of Congress. I would have to disagree, but supposing you were correct, I would be suddenly very ashamed to be a conservative. He's a pundit. No self-respecting American should ever put THAT much stock in what the pundits have to say (whether they be from the right or the left); they should research the issues themselves.

Should ANY show really be rewarded for pulling like a 0.02 in the ratings? Well that's no excuse. Well when the replacement is pulling half that, yet stays on the air longer, it kind of makes you wonder the motivation behind the cancellation. . What are you trying to say, there was some conspiracy going on here? Scarborough is on MSNBC for the same reason that Savage was on MSNBC - the network saw the success of guys like Rush, Sean Hannity, and Bill O'Reilly, and they wanted their own version. They can't help it if all of their pundits (and I include Oberman as such) suck. Well, actually, they can, but you know what I mean.

This made me laugh. But let's get serious. We all know it will be Creed's "My Sacrifice". BTW, since this is a quad tear, does this mean that when Vince returns he'll have packed on about 50 lbs. of muscle? That seems to be the trend.

Sorry - but I DID watch that show. Can't remember the particulars, but I remember it aired on old-school Nickelodeon. I also remember that my niece and I created our own parody song of the opening theme, entitled "Maya the Pee." Gimme a break, we were under 10, we thought it was funny as hell. Speaking of old-school Nick cartoons, anyone remember "David the Gnome", with the title character voiced by Tom Bosley? I loved that program. I remember how I cried in the final episode when David and his wife died (that entire episode was to teach children about the nature of death, how it was a natural part of life). Fun show, awesome NES game.

Is there any more glaring admission to how little the promotion cares about the cruiser division than having their nameless sluts interrupt to hype whatever waste of time T&A segment they're going to put on the Sunday PPV (rather than, you know, WRESTLING)? I suddenly have no problem with guys like JBL making these women's lives a living hell backstage.

If there was something more damning, smitty would have brought it up. I, obviously, didn't watch MSNBC as I had some nice static on another channel to watch. -=Mike Are you sure that static wasn't Fox News? They start to sound the same after a while. C'mon, you can do better than this.

If there was a video of this, you can be damn sure I'd be beating off to it right now.

A resignation? That's overreacting a bit. I do love it when the networks get in little catfights with each other. It's like when, over the weekend, Fox had a big discussion on one of their news programs about the Eason Jordan comments. These little pissing contests are amusing.
