They want to bring in Samoa Joe and put him in a tag team with friggin' JAMAL?
-
Was the Sabu 3-way really sloppy and bad? How would you rate Delirious vs. Styles and Sydal vs. Punk? Can't wait to see this show...and the next Highland show looks great too. And THEN we have the TPI!

From the IWA-MS boards, apparently a crowd of around 200... Another awesome show from IWA. Ian Announced that the 8th Anniversary show will be held in Highland on 10/23. He also said that Chris Sabin had a family emergency & that since Zach Gowen ruined the main event last time, it would be Petey Williams defending against Alex Shelley two out of three falls. 1- Jimmy Jacobs who isn't doing the HUSS gimmick anymore but instead the John Cusack from 'Say Anything' bit, holding the boombox & the Peter Gabriel music. I don't know if he used to do this or what, I've only been following IWA for about eight months. Anyway, Jacobs won a three way over Mark Wolf & Nate Webb to earn a shot at the light heavyweight belt at a later date. A good solid opener. 2- Trik Davis beat Steve Stone by DQ win Stone wouldn't pin Trik. Finish was kinda lame. Ian cameout & brawled with Stone, the lockeroom had to seperate them. They will wrestle at the next Highland show on 8-21. 3- Traci Brooks pinned Daizee Haze in a four way that also included Mickie Knuckles & MsChif. 4- Delirious over AJ Styles when Kid Kash interfered & allowed Delirous to get the win. Match was really good. Delirious took a crazy bump where Styles pressed him & dropped him over the turnbuckle but caught mostly steel. 5- Boz & Bradley over Nigel & Collyer to retain the tag belts, even though their aren't any belts. Match was decent. Bradley sported his Inoki Dojo tights. He looks more intimidating with the singlet. 6- CM Punk over Matt Sydal. Match was good. CM Punk is one of my favorites but after the match when he yelled to todd gerth "#### off you mark", he become even better in my book. gerth & his "know it all" cw.cum BUTT buddies were totally over the top in there cheering for Sydal, the must have a crush on him. It seemed so forced. It sounded like parents cheering on there son at a little league game. That's not why Punk said what he said but those guys are nerds & gerth needs to invest in a comb, Christ that is one nappy ass weave. But hey hopefully the website dorks had a good time. That's all that counts, right? 7-Sabu pinned Danny Daniels in a sloppy three way that also included Kid Kash. Sabu was unadvertised & seemed a bit messed up or something. I don't know what his problem was. Whe h went to the back of the Lincon Center to get a table, on the way back he pushed gerth twice. Now I don't really care for the guy but what Sabu did was wrong. I don't think Sabu even knows who this guy is, unlike Punk who pointed him out to call him a mark. Sabu was just out of control tonight & I feel sorry for the guys who had to work with him. 8- In the match of the night Arik Cannon defeated American Dragon in a great match. Great submission wrestling & very hard hitting, just a tremendous match. After the match Ian said it was worth the wait for AmDrag & invited him back on 8-21. Crowd loudly chanted HERO HERO, so Ian made the match. Chris hero vs. American Dragon for 8-21 in Highland. I can't wait. 9- Petey williamsretained the world title over Alex Shelley 2 falls to one. Match was solid, but was hard to live up to after the previous match. 10- Mr. Insanity over Madman Pondo in a barbwire tables match. Pondo & Mr. Insanity will have a strap match on 8-21, where the fans get to use the straps them. An excellent show, do yourself a favor, GET THE TAPE.

On paper, this card has the potential to one of the best indy cards of the year, IMO. Scorpio in ROH is interesting. Should be fun.

This is different than what everyone has been saying....RAW gets Unforgiven, SD gets an October PPV, and RAW gets the Tuesday October PPV?
-
Yeah...like they'll job Taker before the PPV. Kurt Angle is the only few wrestlers, Taker would job to. And they will job Taker if it develops a fued. Not with Taker about to lose to JBL at Summerslam...he won't do two straight jobs like that. Remember, this is UNBEATABLE DEADMAN Taker!
-
...who, on an episode of RAW, took a leak on ARN ANDERSON...
-
Sadly, I don't think Eddie is getting the title back anytime soon...
-
I'm glad they had such a great backup plan after Mordecai bombed...
-
I haven't watched RAW in 2 months...what would be the reasoning behind Edge turning on Benoit and giving the title to Orton?
-
Yeah...like they'll job Taker before the PPV.
-
HHH/Orton isn't very exciting, but oh well. Taker/Heidenreich? That will be all time new levels of awful-terrible-horribleosity. Wonder what the "long term plan" for SD is.

Could anyone give me or point me to a review of IWA-MS Ted Petty Invitational tournament for 2002?
-
Right now I think I'm going to get ROH Reborn Stage 1 and 2 and then all the recent stuff after those shows except for RRC3. What are the best matches on the PWG BAM3000 tape?

Please credit Alan J. Wojcik of http://alanwojcik.com if posted, thank you. TNA Impact dark matches for July 29, 2004 Match One, refereed by Billy “the Kid” Dalton: former NWA FL Heavyweight champion Bruce Steele vs. Dallas. Dallas returned to the ring as the suspension of Kid Kash ended this past week. Steele showed how good he is with wrestlers his own size. Dallas finished Steele off with a boot to the chest/face. The crowd was receptive to Dallas. Jeremy Borash continued the “feud” between Nashville and Orlando throughout the event. Borash called the Nashville crowd rednecks, but said to the crowd “You’re words, not mine.” Fans were handed comment cards to fill out and their names were drawn at random for prizes after the event. Match Two, refereed by Billy “the Kid” Dalton: Elite Guard members Chad Collyer & Hotstuff Hernandez (w/Onyx) vs. former NWA World Tag Team champions America’s Most Wanted. This is the third week in a row the fans have seen a PPV caliber match. Harris hit the Cataonic but the pin got broken up by Onyx. AMW wins after hitting Hernandez with a double team shoulder tackle. TNA Impact matches to Fox Sports Net on Friday July 30, 2004 Match Three, refereed by Mike Posey: the Elite Guard came to the ringside area as former IPW World Heavyweight champion Lex Lovett took on NWA World Heavyweight champion Jeff Jarrett. Almost a repeat of last week’s match against Shark Boy. Not too sure if Jarrett is sending a message to Jeff Hardy or Monty Brown. Jarrett won by hitting the Stroke. Jarrett mouthed to the camera something to Jeff Hardy. Match Four, refereed by Rudy Charles: Notorious K.I.D. Kid Kash (w/Dallas) vs. NWA FL star “Straight Up” Mikey Batts. At one point Batts went to hit Kash with a plancha but was caught by Dallas. Rudy told Dallas to put Batts down and he dropped him face first on the floor. Dusty Rhodes and Vince Russo did something over by the Spanish announcer’s table. Kash hit that painful looking straight jacket piledriver (??) for the win. Match Five, refereed by Mike Posey: Raven (wearing the Sheik’s clothes) vs. former IPW World champion “the Miami Pound Machine” Rod Steel. This went into the crowd like you would expect from a Raven match. Not a long bout that was ended by the Evenflow DDT. Sabu came to the ring and mixed it up with his opponent on the upcoming TNA PPV. Match Six, refereed by Rudy Charles: Team Canada members Petey Williams and bobby Roode (w/Scott D’amore ) vs. NWA World Jr. Heavyweight champion Mr. 630 Jerrelle Clark and Scotty Hotshot (called Mark Laurnoff by Borash.) The fans despise team Canada who beat on Laurnoff for several minutes until Clark got in and hit the 630 but was hit by Williams and the Canadian Destroyer. After the bell D’amore whipped both men as Russo and Rhodes argued at ringside. Match Seven, refereed by Mike Posey: Jeff Hardy vs. Kid Romeo, sorry Romeo. Several areas of the crowd chanted Hardy sucks during the match but they were drowned out by the screams of ladies in attendance. Hardy wins by hitting the Swanton bomb. Jeff Hammond hosted the Six Points of Impact with the “Alpha Male” Monty Brown. Don West and Mike Tenay did their standup talking about the upcoming matches on the TNA PPV from Nashville. I think my friend Kyle of UF got on TV during this segment. Shane Douglas interviewed Vince Russo about the misunderstanding between himself and Dusty Rhodes. Mr. Russo said he would address several issues on the TNA PPV including the dual X Division champions. Dusty Rhodes got into Russo’s face one more time Match Eight, refereed by Rudy Charles: X Division champions (don’t ask) Frankie “the Future” Kazarian & Michael Shane (w/Traci Brooks) vs. former NWA World tag team champions XXX (“Primetime” Elix Skipper & “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels.) Shane and Kazarian wore matching neon green tights. Daniels hit Kazarian with a huricurana followed by Skipper’s middle of the top rope leg drop. All seemed over for XXX until AJ Styles ran out and interfered causing I am guessing a no-contest. He was followed by Kid Kash, Team Canada and AMW. The theme music and promos for the upcoming PPV played as the action continued so I’m not sure how much of the fight aired. AMW, XXX and AJ Styles held the ring after all was said and done. Michael Shane led a charge back into the ring but they got ran off again as Kazarian was hit by Harris’ Catatonic. AMW, XXX and styles chased the heels all the way up their ramp way. The fans gave a huge ovation to the after show action.

I'm sure he meant he wouldn't affiliate with ROH with RF involved. If not, oh well. not a big deal. Feinstein is gone, might as well come back and make some money.
-
I have only seen one 3PW show. It was okay, but unspectacular. Aside from the wet t-shirt contests, they don't seem to have their own niche yet.
-
I liked Signs, but I hated 6th Sense. The twist is so implausible for SOOOOO many reasons and I just thought it was stupid.
-
Apparently the ending IS one mentioned here already, and it seems pretty disappointing.
-
TNA is giving away a money match just this week when David Young faces that referee!!! SMELL THE BUYRATE!!!!!
-
Jarrett makes me yawn. But it's clear that he's running the show in TNA and wants to be the champ for now. I guess he thinks he's clearly the top draw they have. Oh well.
-
Two points: 1) I believe the whole Raven's contract thing came from the fact that Jarrett wasn't going to job the title to Raven, and there was heat between the two for that, so Raven threatened to leave. Scott Levy is NOT a dumb person - he knew that this was the time to put him over for the title, but Jarrett put the kabosh on that. 2) AJ Styles, IIRC, volunteered to go back to the X-Division. Not that I blame him, though, as he can have great matches with the guys there and he wasn't going to get a push over Jarrett again anyways.

Velocity ------------- 1) JBL vs. Shannon Moore 2) Mark Jindrak vs. Scotty 2 Hotty 3) Chavo Guerrero vs. Funaki 4) Bashams vs. FBI Smackdown ------------------ 1) Rey Misterio vs. Spike Dudley (CW title) 2) Kidman and London vs. Dudleys (Tag titles) 3) 8-man elimination match for US title: John Cena vs. Booker T vs. RVD vs. Kenzo Suzuki vs. Billy Gunn vs. Rene Dupree vs. Charlie Haas vs. Luther Reigns The new Smackdown GM is also announced

Wow, Marty has made his way to the TSM boards. You make some good points at times, Marty, but you also thought the Sting/Vampiro human torch match in WCW was five stars. And trust me. None of these matches are money matches...
