  1. Yes, but they had said that trades are legal through the month of June. Tajiri would make a nice trade back to SD. At least you back up what creative have said that way. Theyll be jobbing by the end of July knowing creative. And yes, I do use the term creative very losely.
  2. I just think that Tajiri would have be a better fits since he has more experience with the people involved. Sending RVD to RAW IMHO was one of the dumbest moves ever.
  3. Not particularly, but that doesn't change the fact that Triple H buried them at a time the company needs new stars. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Perhaps it wasn't HHH burying people, Jericho-style, but the company decided that these weren't the right "stars" they needed? Anyway, my complaint with the Batista-HHH feud is that HHH starts off taking control in every one of these matches. You want to know how they should have booked WrestleMania? Batista just annihilates HHH and flings him around like a rag doll. Crowd sees HHH get the shit beaten out of him and treated like a total jobber. HHH cheats to turn the match around and gets 5 minutes of offense, loses the advantage, jobs. Goddamn, you could have even done that to start off Vengeance's HIAC match and it would have made sense. But no, HHH started the offense in the HIAC again. Why is this? After two prior big matches, Dave should know not to let Trips take the opening <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree, Batista should have squashed HHH. And Batista should have kept his style and not changed it after the contract signing. Even if they made a mistake with the "star", you just dont drop them. You try to make something out of it.
  4. From earlier: Yes, it was meant to be. But the E are too obsessed with the Edge-Lita-Kane-Snitsky-Matt love story that they missed the chance of adding another dimension to psycho Edge. As usual, since they forget, they hope we forget. It was brought up that it only applies to the WORLD TITLE and that only if under the RAW brand if IIRC. Either Edge is just carrying that briefcase round since he thinks it makes him looks cool (^o)), he still has his MitB shot or his going to find that its no longer valid if Batista goes to SD. If its anything but the last option, which it is most probably the 2nd, then the E have forgotten about what they said and thus so should we.
  5. Bischoff said in the past that it is RAW only, like CW are SD only. Heres a scary thought, they go down the TNA Lockdown route with 2 EC matches, 1 for each brand. Maybe I got the year wrong. Wasn't JD 2003 the one with HHH/Nash and then the Show/Lesnar Stretcher Match for the main event? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep, that was it. I dont think that HHH can actually focus on anything other than the title any more. Its particurlarly worrying that he says hes all for the business but then the great majority of his actions do nothing to really help it. Yes, it was meant to be. But the E are too obsessed with the Edge-Lita-Kane-Snitsky-Matt love story that they missed the chance of adding another dimension to psycho Edge. As usual, since they forget, they hope we forget. Best idea so far. Cena-RVD and HHH-Angle. RVD deserves a shot and Angle has been calling HHH out. Keeps HHH out of the title picture. However, how good will a Cena-RVD match really be?
  6. The E are guilty of far more worrying logic gaps and blunders than that. Yes, but this makes a refreshing change. I like the way everybody says that HHH shouldnt be in the title picture, but when they try to shake things up a bit people say that hes being depushed. Hes just working a programme. It frees up a spot at the top of food chain, gives Eddie something to do and can have a huge payoff IMHO. Please, dont group me together with obnoxious loudmouth Americans ^o). Just kidding.
  7. I was thinking of that match. I think it was pretty well done since the way they portrayed it was that Jeircho and Benoit had had enough of Austin and HHH's cheating and took every oppourtunity to hit back at them. IMHO there is cheating and then theres cheating. The faces making hay whilst the refs back is turned is not really cheating.
  8. Your damn skippy. I remember watching Benoit Lesnar the 1st time as if it were yesterday. Benoit was most probably the most over he has ever been recently in the WWE IMHO. When I saw him on RAW, after winning the RR against all odds setting up a WM rematch, I felt so alienated by the WWE at that point in time, and for couple of days kept saying to myself, why did they do this. And we still never got a proper explaination for it, even though I have a few, such as Benoit wanting to win the Real WHC or regain that which he held briefly or he was worried that Heyman would screw him for sure (this was touched upon though). We had to fill in the huge gaps of logic, which would have only taken a few words of explaination by the company. That was a huge nail in the coffin for me.
  9. I would call him a heel very losely by default that he was on the heel side. He personally did very little that was heelish IIRC. He was more of a tweener.
  10. Exactly. How many freaken tourneys have we had this blasted year? Were only half way through to. I think thats your best bet. Make the EC a overused crap gimmick. Its HHH's kind of 2nd match btw. Exactly. This is why people complain about him dominating the show, even when he jobs. His character is in the main event even when he shouldn't be, and usually he keeps getting title shots until he wins unless he needs to 'take care of some business' first. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hes cancer and hes ruining the business. He should be (a) shifted to the back office, (b) forced to take a leave of abscence, © be injured, (d) be suspended, (e) . . . as long as hes off TV its ok with me. I dont mind him staying on RAW, but hes got to learn to live without the belt and in the last match of the night. I didnt mind him beatin Eugene at SS, cause it made sense. But squashing the midcard makes no sense whatsoever. No matter how much Eugene, Hasan et al suck, feeding them to HHH, UT or Austin on the basis that they suck, just kills your show. You amplify wrestlers strengths, not make them look like dog crap.
  11. Ahhh, thanks. Thought the poster meant a return feud with the UT, but Brock has 3 PPV wins over UT IIRC, whilst UT main victory was in a horribly very overbooked handicap match.
  12. One problem bro, RVD is on RAW now. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> O fuck, I didnt know that. Hence, I wouldnt have posted my last reply. Ive only watched half of RAW. Thanks for spoiling the surprise . My video decided to play up when CCC was about to call him out. On a more serious point: GREAT IDEA WWE, FUCKED UP AGAIN I SEE.
  13. I agree. Its all about how they present him. Its dumb to portray him as weak, given his last run. They just dont need to mention his football career and focus on the commenters saying H*ly Sh*t, its Brock Lesnar, one of the most dominant WWE superstars ever. Hence, I think they should have a surprise return and not a promoed return. I think the H*ly Sh*t factor will be stronger that way. Hell, they could play out my dream storyline of a character of a wrestler being portrayed as the saviour of the business. Gets down on my knees and prays. Return match to what? IIRC, Brock never lost to UT and they finished their feud. Its not like Angles yearly best of 3 series thingy.
  14. O, like they did at SummerSlam 2 years ago you mean. Firstly, HHH wasnt at JD. Its a SD PPV. But you know that. Secondly, RAW is already shit. Its so full of holes it makes the Titanic with an iceberg gone throw it look safe.
  15. EDIT: Half of a double post, sorry.
  16. Porter, no disrespect or anything, but could you please put a bit more information in the threads title. Ive only watched half of RAW and got the strong feeling that Hogan was returning, but I thought that this may have been a thread on the legitimacy of the legdrop as a finisher. Thanks.
  17. Make fun of the Cabinet. Would make perfect sense. Get in Smoothers as the bWO's big back-up. Dont know who would play who though. :S Fuse a number of threads into 1 dammit. Play off real life. It makes wrestling so much better when its an exxageration of reality.
  18. IMHO Batistas SD bound, especially since TBS was traded to SD. Now theres an empty spot for the 'SD Title' in the 6 Pack Challange. Teddy can merge it into 1 with the WHC, by giving Batista TBS spot. IMHO Batista was always SD bound since Correy pointed out so brilliantly that Batista fed Batista, or the booking of him did and not HHH totally per se. HHH did job to Booker twice that year. Once before Mania and at least another time after, both in tag matches. Booker pinned him cleanly IIRC. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> O yeah, and that was really a memorable victory wasnt it. Come on, as if people would remember or prefer that over a WM win. I think this is were a major misconception lies in wrestling. What HTQ and Porter are talking about IMHO is when a guy that is pushed flops or a passing of the torch scenario. I think its more notable when a guy elavates somebody to his level and takes a back seat, but that does not mean that he has lost his spot. You cant really blame a wrestler for being afraid that this will result in him losing his spot though, since he will see it as being depushed or falling out of favour. HHH's ego is massaged so much that he cant stand it not being so. So this means that he will have to share the spotlight with somebody else. UT squashes somebody and takes a couple of months off lately. I think you have to go back to his Cena feud on Vengence of 0X to actually back that argument up. I stand to be corrected though cause UT has just been blah for me recently.
  19. That would make sense, given the dirty animals angle. Eddie, Chavo and the Mexicools vs Rey, RVD, Kidman and London. Now we just need a 5th man who has a backstory to be there. I know. But Eddie could just say Guerrero, Guerrera, potato, potato, tomato, tomato, they are all the same esse. Sounds good enough to be familia to me holmes. EDIT: Actually, they could make the 5th man of Rey's team Tajiri, having experience of partnering Eddie and all and wrestling against him. Could have the 5 on 1 beatdown (Eddie, Chavo, Juvi, Psi and Crazy) on Rey, with London trying to make the save. Then the week after they show Rey and London talking about needing back-up till RVD returns, and they beg Teddy to trade somebody for Tajiri. Rey and London could approach Kidman, asking him to put their past differences aside. That way, you have Eddie, RVD and 8 CW a legit reason to do something. Remember Eddies and RVDs IC feud? This smells of greatness, if I do say so myself.
  20. It's the only interesting story they've had for 2 weeks. Now that the Hardy thing has run itself repeatedly into the ground we need another "blur the reality lines" type of deal. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Do you think WWE realizes that real-life heat between wrestlers is more interesting than their storylines? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, they should. The best gimmicks have been a over the top portraying of ones character such as SCSA. It would work for storylines, the E doesnt have the guts or intelligence to pull it off though.
  21. Given that Raven had basically been a jobber leading up to the PPV and that the fans had been really wanting to see Brown finally beat Jarrett, it's safe to say Brown v. JJ was a much bigger money match <{POST_SNAPBACK}> At Slam yes. Not at Bound for Glory with Raven back on the destiny chase and with 4 months of build behind him. Brown-JJ could never top something like that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> First, I dont think Raven needed to do another long drawn out title chase. It's been done, everyone knows the story who is smart to the TNA dynamic of the past few years (ie that Jarrett held down anyone from really getting pushed to the title), and he's been on a decent push ahead for some months now, so getting the title as he got it (from a storyline perspective) its fine. That promo he did on the pre-show of the ppv as well as the promo later that night made it all worthwhile much how people were clamoring that AJ HAD to win the title last month after Sahidi did that vignette with him. I would have actually been bored to death with another title chase for Raven myself and in being dark currently without cable clearance, as well as the ECW resurgence, this was actually a strong decision to make, be it to spite Jarrett or not. I guess that was my intial point I was trying to make when saying this move was not anywhere near such a bad desicion by the bookers in hindsight. I agree about Brown being treated unfairly in the past and currently. I think HE should be the long term goal to build to as champ. They certainly had their chance and the ball was dropped by Rhodes when he turned Brown back a few months ago. Ideally, following up IMMEDIATELY after Final Resolution should have been key - instead we got Jarrett v. Nash and then DDP and then came the Brown turn. Fans were most definately clamoring to give Brown the title from Jarrett and I think if brought back to the forefront with a Jarrett-Brown match for a title shot at Bound for Glory against Raven, that would work. Now TNA just has to get Jarrett-Raven 2 hopefully at the August ppv. Especially if they are planning to be in the dark until late September, they have to get Jarrett to put Raven over finally, and then force Jarrett to put over Brown in Sept to build to Brown/Raven at Bound for Glory. My whole point here is that if anything Brown is the person that needs to be used for the long term title chase. While Raven can draw in due time, Brown is the fresh talent and even though was fucked over v. Jarrett, he needs to be re-turned as a face and really booked strong for months before he gets the belt. With Jarrett falling out of grace, Styles publicly saying he wants to be back in the X division and having no problems not being NWA champion (plus he should have never got the belt again in the first place in May so I'm glad to see the bookers right a wrong here), and Brown/Abyss not quite ready for the title at this point, the only logical solution was Raven, especially considering how over the ECW resurgence is right now. Raven was going to get a large push anyway, so I dont see why some are so against what happened. If the bookers did it just to spite Jarrett and nothing more, I can see the argument but it just so happens that there are more than just that reason (to stick it to Jarrett) that Raven got the belt. Styles v. Waltman would have been shit as a main event for the NWA title, and those two as well as Lynn will now hopefully segway into the X division. Add Joe and Daniels, as well as all of the other X division regulars and the X division will be huge. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wed just book different shows. I was trying to illustrate the point in JJ's potential reasoning for not wanting to lose to AJ and the KotM match. I dont agree with people here just saying JJs an asshole and leaving it at that. All your points are valid. AJ-Sean has to be in the X Div. You have to forgive me, but I am a huge Raven mark, so I would prefer a well built up backdrop for him. It wasright and the most logical thing to do, but one cannot say that it didnt feel rushed. The TNA needs a long title reign. Brown has been damaged significantly more than Raven, hence my preference for Raven having a 4 month build, compared to a slower build for Brown. Called me old fashioned, but I prefer the 2/3 top storylines having long drawn out builds that last months. Like, I could drag out Eddie-Rey till the RR or even WMXX2. I loved the Sabu-Taz feud for this simple reason. All of this is just MHO. IMHO Joe shouldnt be in the X Div either, but in the NWA Title scene.
  22. Again, I think the E have gone about this wrong way. I would have prefered it if Juvi (based on his surname) and Psicosis (due to his history with Rey) were to side with Eddie and Chavo (why did the Mexicools 'beat up' Chavo anyway?), and Rey, Super Crazy, London (being on the BUTT of everything) and a returning RVD on the other side of the feud. They could have dragged this out beyond SummerSlame to SurvivorSeries. It could still be salvaged, by having Eddie and the Mexicools vs Rey, London, RVD and Chavo, on the grounds that the Mexicools jockey for Eddies attention and affection by beating up or pranking Chavo, and Eddie saying that that was funny holmes. Make Chavo disgruntled, switch him and that means you can kickstart the lame ending Eddie-Chavo feud too.
  23. Yeah man, not to be an asshole or anything. But you definately understand the guy and tried to make an arguement out of nothing. Calling it a Pay-Per-View could be right if you really wanted to get technical. Your Paying to View the show, no matter how you look at it. No its not a traditional PPV, and really it's just a show. But you understood him and there was really no need to start a fight out of nothing. Just my $0.02, canadian. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thank you natey.
  24. Mmmmm, cant really remember. Must have been around the time of the Winner Takes All Match at SS, or slightly after IIRC. Thanks.
  25. The Tombstone is NOT death. UT's version is but Kane's is just so lame.
