  1. K, my friend codes are: Mario Kart DS 000087 882393 Metroid Prime Hunters 4166 9980 0386 I added everyone from the list so add me up.
  2. I thought that show was just god awful, but then I've always hated Molly Shannon's characters. I think she's ok in regular sketches, but her characters just make me change the channel. The debate and MacGruber were the only saving graces for the show in my opinion. The MacGruber was amazing. Come on "He's 15 years sober" to "The guy's a social drinker" to "The dude's a raging alcoholic" and then ending with him doing the drunken David Hasselhoff video. I think that was the worst TV Funhouse I've ever seen and maybe one of the least funny things I've ever seen on television as well. Just embarassingly bad.
  3. Oh man, the end of last episode with Drama yelling "Victory" over the canyon was absolutely perfect. Vince working to get a movie produced should be interesting. I hope that things start working out because it's been a bit tiring seeing every opportunity come so close and then fall apart since Aquaman premiered.
  4. That kills me every time I see it.
  5. Damn, that was some sloppy play by the Sabres at times tonight. Good stuff.
  6. Morrison is awesome, I really like his current work on Batman. There's a really good interview with him about 52 here. A new Animal Man series by him would be amazing.
  7. Regardless of who wins this one (it's gonna be Ottawa), this series has real potential to rock. The play styles of these teams will make for some awesome hockey. I'm just glad no one has to sit through another New Jersey series. Oh yeah, and the fact that these teams are not exactly fans of each other...
  8. That's pretty much my problem with all of the mega "earth-shattering" crossovers that Marvel keeps doing. The writers of the regular series can never get into a good grove or develop any really great storylines because they have to devote a bunch of issues to the crossover and then a bunch more to developing the new "OMGZ NOTHING WILL EVER BE THE SAME AGAIN" status quo. I mean, I think the best (non Ultimate) book that Marvel's had lately is Dardevil, and that pretty much completely ignored the giant crossovers, thus Brubaker was able to develop a great storyline. Like, I think Cable and Deadpool would be so much better if Cable didn't have to be pulled away every 6 issues or so to fight some big threat outside the series. Although the Civil War stuff in C&D was absolutely brilliant.
  9. Damn, "Chinese Democracy" smokes, hell of an intro to that song.
  10. I kinda dig the new "The Blues" pretty overproduced, but I still like it. I'm not sure yet if I like it better than the live version I've been listening to for a long time. Anyone have a link to the new version of "Chinese Democracy"? And damn, Axl's gotta get this album out before the whole thing is leaked.
  11. Yeah, but I think as far as 19 Entertainment is concerned, the album is secondary to the show itself. They're probably in the red from Taylor and Katherine's albums, but it doesn't matter because they made a mint off of sponsorships, ratings et al. Not to mention Daughtry's album. Oh yeah record sales probably mean very very little to the American Idol folks. The amount of money they make from sales is a drop in the ocean compared to the money from the show. Hell, nobody makes a significant amount of money in the shell of a business that the record industry has fallen to these days. Still, in the long term if AI people do poorly after the show it could hurt the perception of the show.
  12. So the multiverse did return. Interesting. Did anyone read Legion of Superheros 29? There was an awesome (and hillarious) random 52 tie in.
  13. Oh yeah, I forgot about Red Son that one's great.
  14. Well more people would have agreed with that statement if he never wrote All-Star Batman. What are you retarded or something? He's the goddamn Frank Miller! Seriously though shitty All-Star Batman aside, most of Miller's stuff is worth a read. You can of course go with the pair of 'everyone on earth must read them' books. Watchmen (Alan Moore) and Dark Knight Returns (Frank Miller). For Batman you can't go wrong with Dark Knight Returns The Long Halloween Batman: Year One The Killing Joke For my money, the best Superman graphic novel (even though it's more than just Superman) is Kingdom Come. You gotta read that, it's amazing.
  15. Nice, I've been meaning to check this out for a while now. It's not "in continuity" with The Wire or anything is it?
  16. Detective Comics #831 came out recently and was about Harley. Written by Dini too. I though it was a good read.
  17. Insane amount of penalties there, but fuck it. Looks like Vancouver finally showed up to play for the second half there. I'm so stoked they got through.
  18. Marble columns was hilarious, stupid but hilarious. Armisen is great.
  19. Medicine is too advanced now for anything of that magnitude, unless we just wipe out poor people. Your ideas intrigue me and I wish to subscribe to your magazine.
  20. Man, that was some crazy fighting in the WWIII issue of 52.
  21. Great episode. Dutch getting jealous of Ronnie and Billings acting like he was the shit after the takedown were both classic.
  22. Agreed, that skit was hilarious.
  23. Jesus Bob... And I don't think that the digital short was a direct rip on the OC specifically. It seemed to me to invoke the tone of a million shitty prime time teen soaps.
  24. What I don't get so far, if it's true (and you should never take what the media says as fact, especially after Columbine where %90 of the 'facts' about what happened turned out to be bullshit ), is that the 2 hour gap where they did nothing was due to the authorities thinking it was a domestic situation in the dorms. How do they get that idea if the guy had enough armament to kill 32 people?
