No, if Katherine doesn't win this thing (which she won't, she's going home tonight, mark it.) she'll be doing Broadway quite soon.

He's right, it is too cheap. Sony will be losing crazy amounts of cash on each unit developed, the production cost will be way higher than the selling price. Those blu-ray players ain't cheap. Same thing went for the PS1 and PS2. Microsoft took a fucking wash on the original X-Box, same for the X-Box360. These companies take BIG losses on hardware at first and make it up in software, liscensing, and sales down the line when production costs go down. And based on the price point for blu-ray players so far, it looks like the margin of loss for Sony on these PS3s will be monumental. Ah, the crazy world of video game economics, where the more units you sell at release, the more money you LOSE. Oh yeah, except if you're Nintendo, who's sold every one of their systems at a profit. And I'm so stoked that the Revol....Wii is going to have a real Mario game at launch. Not having one really hurt the GameCube in my mind.

It is.

Bob, the couch was only the beginning, don't try and claim that the couch jumping was the only thing that flipped his public image. He has gotten a thousand times worse since then.

WotW was like a year ago. Cruise has had a whole year more of being a nutbar to convince more people to hate him. His stock has seriously droped in Holywood in the past year.

No good can come of registration. We learned this in Watchmen.

Come Sail Away by Stxy might be the absolute worst song of all time AS WELL AS the best song of all time. It's corny as fuck, has incredibly lame and fruity parts, the vocals are awful, and the lead guitar is shrill and annoying, and it’s everything wrong with excessive arena rock. My brain tells me ‘you know that this song is terrible.’ However, when the power chords hit at the 'I thought that they were angels...' part, my base instincts tell me to want to rock out like nothing else. What the fuck's wrong with me.

London Calling is so good, it's the album of the year for a year before it was even released!

So the first volume of Ultimate Spiderman is BETTER than Batman: Year 1, Marvels, and Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow??? What the fuck were they smoking? How the hell can you justify a collection being better than some of the amazing graphic novels below it. And Kingdom Come being as low as 40 is robbery. I think it's way better than Marvels if we're talking about Ross' work.

Wow, looks good so far. From what I've heard they've stripped out all of the overindulgence that made the last 2 Bond films so terrible and that can only be a good thing. Now as long as they do away with that supid bullshit where he orders some brand of bottled water instead of a shaken, not stirred, martini from the last Brosnan movie.

Hells no, with Intel chipsets it prctically begging for you to up the voltages it's so easy. And if you have a Pentium 4a, 4b, or 4c, then overclocking it is practically harmless. If it detects thermal overload, it automatically scales itself down to reduce the heat. You pretty much can't break that motherfucker if you tried. There's that video from a couple years back where the guy has his case open while playing Quake 3, takes the CPU fan and heat sink off, and KEEPS PLAYING the game (with a serious drop in framerate) and leaves it on for hours. Then he tries it with 3 other processors and they all immediatly burn to a crisp. P4a-c, indestructable. But yeah, it does depend on what mobo you have, some of them it' a matter of setting some jumpers, some it's flashing a new bios. She's right though, this probably isn't the forum you want to be asking this question.

It sucks, but this is the way free market works. Supply and demand will dictate the prices of these things in a pretty straightforward manner. Even when you factor in Ticketmaster' kick-you-in-the-nuts 'service fees' and scalping, the fact that people pay these prices for shows means the price will get there. Unless you know, the artist really cares enough to reduce the price and their managment will let them get away with it. The fact that enough idiots will pay $300 for (non scalped) tickets to see Madonna ENSURES that Madonna tickets will be $300.

Whatever, Paris was quality. I wanted her to leave before any of the other 4, but she had crazy talent. I have no idea why some people have this unfounded hate for her.

New X3 Preview clip - "Calm Under Pressure"
ZGangsta replied to Yuna_Firerose's topic in Television & Film
And I just love how this post, very quickly, became all about Teh Gay. ^-^ That's cause X3 will invariably be Teh Gay. -
Or what all the dumbasses who almost got thier different versions of Superman 5 made over the last 15 years wanted.

Yeah there was an episode in season 4 called 'Lucy' that was about her. The theme's done by Remy Zero. They appeared in the season 1 finale to play at the dance or something lame like that. It was memorable for the first (of many) blatant product placements on this show when they had this gem of a peice of dialog (or something like it) Clark: "Hey these guys are pretty good." Pete: "Yeah they are." (yells out) "Yeah Remy Zero Yeah." Looked like such a tool.

Well you've got the 3 best right there. For Batman using his brain you might like JLA: Tower of Babel. That's a really great story. For another modern story, Hush was one I really enjoyed. Ah I just found it, IGN has the 25 best batman graphic novels. That should help you out.

Chris kicked all kinds of ass and Katherine did look very hot in her second song. Other than that there wasn't anything too memorable.

Fucking A! There were some absolutely epic shots in that trailer. Superman arcing around the earth with the sun in the background, him jumping as a kid, the machine gun bouncing off him, floating with Lois, and the plane stuff. Amazing. As for Spacey. I love it! I was a bit worried he'd go too Hackman-esque until I saw this trailer. From the (albeit limited) parts it's shown, he has just the perfect mix of darkness and classic evil villian flamboyance. I don't know why but a lot of people seem to have this notion that Lex needs to be this cold dark emotionless buisnessman character. I think the more mad scientist/evil genius version of Lex works alot better. The 'corporate bad guy' Lex that Byrne started during Man of Steel always seemed like a crappy knock off of the Kingpin of Crime to me. The Lex from the Silver Age, Birthright, and the newest comics (althought to be fair, the OYL portrayl of Lex is probasbly a 'pre-reaction' to the movie's portrayl) always sat better with me as a foil for Superman. Besides it's SUPERMAN, a certain campyness better be there. Trying to make comic characters 'cool' and 'edgy' is what killed the creativity (and almost the industry) in the 90s. Routh looks absolutely perfect as Clark, and that Superman costume looks amazing in action. Oh yeah, and I loved the bit of business at the end. "Look in the sky chief" "It's a bird" "It's a plane" "No, look it's..." "You wanted to see me?" Can't fuckin' wait!

Newsarama has an advance review of Civil War #1. It doen't really say anything about the story but it's a pretty favorable review. The art they show (which was from the new warriors fight that was already previewed in NA: Illuminati) looks really great. I've sort of turned around on this series. I was all ready to hate it, as I really didn't like the concept originally, but the implementation has been pretty good thus far, and I really like Millar as a writer (plus the art looks awesome), so I'm willing to give it a chance. I'm still not super psyched about the concept.
