  1. That might have been it, the place that is a buffet of various top of the line meats on skewers. Plus a kick-ass salad bar with lots of exotic sides & salads? It was the most expensive lunch I have ever had, but damn'd if it was worth it. I went to the one in San Francisco on Market Street, with my wife and a couple of buddies. Oh I heard each town that has one of these places, has a slightly different theme. That way if you are in a different town, it isn't exactly the same and you still get somewhat of a different experience. I am not sure if they mean food-wise, or the decor-theme or what......!?!
  2. I think a plain Waffle is better then a plain Pancake, but from my experience, pancakes have more potential upgrade options. I love IHOPs harvest grain & nut pancakes. Pumpkin pancakes, stuffed pankcakes, corn-cakes. In the end, a waffle is a waffle, but a pancake is open for a whole new world of potential.

    Juice

My favorite is Apple Juice from Apple Hill. It is basically crushed up apples pulverised into juice. No additives or preservatives. So basically once you buy it you have to drink it within about 4-5 days, but a gallon usually is gone by the 2nd day.....the stuff is great. I like pomegranite juice as well. Orange/Pineapple/Coconut is an awesome mix.
  4. I like Menudo, which includes tripe among other gross things I don't want to know, but hey I like it. I also like Cow tongue. I am weird about chicken livers. My mom likes serving them over rice. I have to be in the right mood, sometimes I take a bite and I am ready for more, sometimes I take a bite and get grossed out. I was just at a resteraunt in the bay area that serves chicken hearts on a skewer but I was too full to try them from all the other meats.
  5. Peas. I absolutely hate the texture of them and the taste, but strangely I like split pea soup....really, WTF?
  6. Stir-Fry Fried Rice Yeah.....that about covers what I use the Wok for, but I love it.
  7. Egg Rolls Guacamole w/Chips Oh and maybe we could have a "Dip Tournament" too.....!?!
  8. I got rear-ended the other day and the other guy's insurance set me up with a rental through Enterprise, and the rep there actually recommended I NOT get the insurance, because there is a good chance the insurance company covers it. So he had an oppurtunity there to fuck me over by saying "nope, you better get it" but he didn't. Thanks Enterprise
  9. It's not the "playing dirty" part, moreso the fact that out of one side of his mouth is "I love and welcome competition" and then the next second he is going to great lengths to take away viewers from other organizations that at this point could barely even be considered "competition" The bottomline is, there are too many good fighters out there for UFC's roster alone, and Dana White has to face the fact that not everyone signed to other companies are "bush league fighters" There is plenty of world class talent not under Dana White's umbrella.
  10. I am about two "objectives" into Act 4 and I am completely blown away......my only real criticism is that both boss battles thus far have been relatively easy......I say relatively because they might seem difficult at first but once you find an effective way to fight them it becomes extremely easy......an example would be.... Besides that minor criticism(and who's not to say boss battles won't become harder).....fantastic fucking game!!!
  11. Umm...will Brandon Vera be ready for this? He just lost and has barely a month to train....
  12. So I just finished the first act. This game is fucking awesome so far and it is only going to get better. The new camo scheme is great and the customizable weapons are a riot. Adding a shotgun barrel onto an M4-assault rifle is killer. I am so glad it's friday that way when I finally get around to sitting down to play it tonight, I don't have to worry about getting enough sleep for work. The past couple of nights I regretably had to shut the game off i order to get the bare minimum of sleep to function like a zombie for the work day.....
  13. Well Dana White claims the NY thing wasn't the major announcement, and I surely hope he is telling the truth, because that would be dissapointing.
  14. Faber v. Pulver - WEC EDIT: The young hungry lion vs. The crafty veteren. Faber, known for his wrestling, shocks and pleases the crowd instantly with his newly displayed striking ability. Pulver is game, but takes a lot of punishment early. Eventually Pulver does connect with a couple of shots that remind Faber why Pulver is a legend in this weightclass. In the end though, Faber proves to be, too fast, too young and too strong, and wins the biggest fight of his career. The crowd was electric, and Pulver was damn respectful afterwards in his post fight interview and hey the shout out to his pregnant wife didn't hurt either. As an MMA fan this was everything a title fight should be and as someone who often tries to get other people into MMA, these are two classy guys I would point them in the direction towards. In front of a sellout crowd in his hometown, Main Eventing on the biggest card in the history of WEC. It was everything a Main Event on a grand stage should be. better?
  15. I never understood this argument by McCain. Why is it "fine" that we find it necessary to have troops stationed in these(and a hell of a lot more) countries. I am not saying it isn't necessary for various reasons, but WHY is it a GOOD thing? Is it really "fine" that Americans are stationed in South Korea and Germany? Necessary, maybe, Fine...ummmm?
  16. It'd be nice if he had any support from his party.
  17. Well that and the fact that Stern is never really denying anything outright, he is just basically taking the "those are words of a convicted felon" stance, which is ironic because that convicted felon was employed by your NBA Mr. Stern. And really if the guy is a convicted felon that was up to no good in the first place, chances are he might be a decent source on other shenanigans going on in or around the NBA.
  18. Game 6 of the 2002 WCF was some fucking bullshit by the officials. It would almost be a relief to be told they were ordered to officiate that goddamn poorly. Who knows though. On one hand look at the source of the information, but on the other hand would it really be that suprising. It will be at least interesting though if his claims are investigated further. I mean what if they actually got one of the supposed "company man" refs to admit that he did it, would everyone just call him an oppurtunistic fool? As a Kings fan, it just sucks to even hear about this because that was a very sore wound that was somewhat healed. I mean it took most Kings fans a long time to let go of the Game 6 shenanigens, and just place the entire series loss on the Kings poor free-throw shooting in Game 7, but this fucking bullshit rips the iron scab right off goddammit.

    HDTV

In the Spring of 2009, I should have a good $12-$1600 from my tax return alone to spend on a new 1080p HDTV. That is if I only use money from my tax return and none from my actual checking and/or money market account. Of course hoping nothing goes wrong in life between now and Spring 2009 that will require me to use that money for is pretty wishful thinking, of course the amount listed above is just a portion of the tax return anyway. However, the biggest factor holding me back from getting a newer HDTV is not the cost of the TV itself, it is the higher monthly price I would have to pay for programming. Technically I could scale back the programming package I get to offset the cost increase HD-programming would induce, but I like having access to everything I have. I think if I changed nothing besides upgrading to HD programming my bill would go up by about $20-30 a month. Of course that is if I get the highest possible HD package.
  20. Republicans block extra taxes on oil companies http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080610/ap_on_go_co/congress_oil_profits This was expected, but this is the part that bothers me more..... So the oil companies could have avoided most of the taxes ANYWAY, and the republicans refuse to give any companies investing in alternative sources of fuel a tax break. And people wonder why things aren't being accomplished. It's almost as if our government has rigged the process and vowed to keep business as usual going.
  21. What would cheesecake be classified as? I mean yes, it has cake in the name, but it definately comes off more pie-like if you ask me. Pumpkin Pie, Sweet Potato Pie, Cream-Cheese Crust Topping & Dutch Apple pie(and other fruit) from this small apple orchard town called Apple Hill, 30 miles from Sacramento, make Pie the winner. Also a kickass peanut butter pie my mom makes. What about a Pasty vs. Danish challenge?
  22. LHW and/or Open Weight UFC Grand Prix?
  23. For those with a Frys by them......5-disc edition of Blade Runner on BLU-RAY for $19.99....I think the sale is good for another week. This is a hell of a deal if you are a Blade Runner fan and/or a collector in general.
  24. Ok, so I picked up the 5-disc set for $19.99 on bluray...at Frys......what is the best cut to watch first? I have seen the theatrical release a loooooooong time ago, and I defintely don't plan on watching the movie five times just to see each version(I mean I eventually will but I imagine some time will go by between each viewing). What should I watch first? I am leaning towards the Final Cut.
