  1. It depends. There is different classifications for temp jobs: I am under "long term temp" which basically means, you will be working there for as long as you want, barring they don't fire you for some reason, it is just that you shouldn't expect to be hired on as part of the actual company, barring some miracle job opening. Temp to Hire usually means, that the company is bringing in a bunch of temps and will be looking to keep the best ones on as part of the company. Short term temp is like taking a job that is only for a fixed amount of time, could be 2 days, or could be a month or longer, but you will be told when the job is offered to you. Oh and I was put back on the other plan I was doing the first couple of days, which is good, cause I don't have to worry about the wretched que. Hahaha Oh and I would use the computer CD player for CDs, but I like listening to AM sportstalk radio in the morning. And News/political talk in the afternoon.
  2. I thought I remembered reading somewhere that there was another cut scene from volume 2 with Go Go Yubari's younger sister trying to get revenge on the bride. Also, I think Go Go Yubari was originally in the sequel somehow, because on her website, something was mentioned about her going back to film some stuff for Vol. 2........ can anyone confirm or deny or elaborate?
  3. The fight should air on Saturday on HBO, that is the usual practice following PPV fights. It should replay 2-3 times next weekend, so be sure to check the listings. I should have gone to a sportsbar to see this fight, but I had already made plans for saturday......dammit. I watched the first fight, and while I agree that RJJ won the fight, it was obvious to the eye that RJJ had a hard time dealing with the shots that Tarver was throwing at him in the middle rounds. From what reports say, RJJ did come out looking sharp, beating Tarver to the punch which is classic RJJ, but Tarver just had perfect anticipation and landed one of those "perfect shots" for the KO. Personally, I think RJJ should walk away now, he will retire as one of the best ever, and this latest loss to Tarver really doesn't do anything to tarnish that. I don't think it would be wise of RJJ to try and get a fight with any heavyweight that can actually punch with power, unlike Ruiz. As far as Tarvar, well he is already 35, but he doesn't really show it in the ring. I wouldn't mind seeing him move in weight to maybe setup some fights with, De La Hoya, Hopkins, Vargas, and the newly UNretired, Felix "Tito" Trinidad......
  4. Don't make predictions like that The Kings have put me close enough to cardiac arrest enough in the playoffs so far, and that is WITHOUT buzzer beaters....
  5. I was ready too, until this joker said that he didn't see anything biased about the officiating in Game 6 in 2002.....oh the hell with it. Too long ago to waste the energy.
  6. Lets not forget about the most bias officiating job in Game 6 in LA.....
  7. Actually I'd say the Kings were even better in 2003, before Webber got injured in the playoffs against Dallas, in which the Kings still took the Mavs to a game seven and overtime(if I remember correctly). I don't see how you can say the Lakers look more dominating then they did during their three-peat years. Hell, the Lakers/Spurs series is one of the most OVERRATED series in the past ten years. Sure it was high on drama, but that drama was due to some shitty ass play. Don't give me this "defensive chess match" horseshit. That is a lame cover. Another thing is, the Spurs can't pass like the Kings can, especially the big men, so of course the Lakers looked good against the Spurs' pick N roll, but the Kings Pick N roll is in an entire different level, when they are playing good. Peja is a great shooter, and great shooters work their way out of slumps, the way Peja did in Game 6 against the T-Wolves. The Lakers look good, damn good, don't get me wrong, but they didn't show me ANYTHING in the Spurs series, to suggest they would "breeze through" the Kings. I do concede that my pick will probably be The Lakers in 7, but you gotta be kidding me if you think the Lakers will win it in five. (Ok I lied, sue me, LOL, the Kings/Lakers debate is just too tempting)
  8. I dunno how you could mix Tarrantino with a horror flick and get something released with an R rating. I mean sure, From Dusk till Dawn, but that was also a collaboration with Paul Rodriguez, and if you own the Dimension DVD, you can see all the gore that had to be cut from the flick... I always though Tarrantino doing a remake of The Thing with his own script would be fantastic, except for the fact that there is absolutely no reason to remake The Thing in the first place.
  9. Between the Ages of 7-11, these are some flicks that seemed to be on every day: Short Circuit 2 Goonies Monster Squad I also remember watching the Garbage Pale Kids movie, but now I can't find it anywhere.
  10. Did I just watch "Eternal Sunshine of the Sopranos Mind" !?! The dream sequence was ok at first, but I'm sorry it just went on for too damn long.
  11. The A's are back on track at least with the sweeping of the Royals in Kansas City. The Big three have definately looked better in their last three outings as far as control is concerned.
  12. I don't want to debate the Kings/Lakers too much until(if) the Kings advance, because if they don't it will be a moot point anyway, however I will say that the Kings and Lakers are very familiar with each other, and saying the series would end in five, is sort of foolish. They play each other too well, and I don't think homecourt advantage will play THAT BIG of a factor in the series, unless there is a game seven. They have both won playoff games on each other's floors in the playoff past, and that was when both teams were in better for then they are now. *must resist further Kings/Laker debate* arrgh.
  13. Ok some observation so far in the Kings/T-Wolves series: When the Kings are playing well, (not like the best record in the NBA Kings we saw for mot of the season, but simply just good/well) then they basically are way too much for the T-Wolves. However the Kings have yet to play a complete game so far in the playoffs. Game 6 was the closest they came so far, which is a good sign that they may start shooting well again, however so far the Kings have only played well in short bursts. When both teams are playing fair or medicore, then the game is usually turning out to be a nailbiter. I'm sorry T-wolves fans, but if the Kings find their shot and start making open looks like they started to in Game 6, the T-wolves are done. On the other hand, the Kings have yet to show that they are over the injuries that are still nagging, and B-Jackson being out most likely still hurts like a bitch. What is up with Sam Cassell? Is he extra cranky or something. I mean the guy never agrees when he is called for a foul, even when it is the most obvious call to make. Anthony Peeler will most likely be suspended, but the way the Kings bench made up for his absence, I am not so sure it is a bad thing. Oh and Garnett didn't "barely nudge" Peeler, he gave him a hard shot to the chest.. I'd even argue through my bias kings goggles, that peeler's shot looks harder on film, but he mostly caught Garnett with the back of his arm moreso then the elbow, and Garnett was VERY SMART to play up the "wincing in pain" crap after the officials stepped in. Another thing to look for is, which bench players left the bench from the Wolves bench, because you definately saw blue jerseys come onto the floor. Personally, I don't think it should result in any suspensions, but shit, the rules are the rules!?! As far as the Western Conference Finals go, you have to like the Lakers right now, NO MATTER WHAT, but one thing for sure is, the T-Wolves will get blown off the court by the Lakers, if for no other reason then matchup problems out the ass, where as the Kings possibly possess the tools to make the series interesting, and possibly pull out an upset, even though they would have to start playing like they did, a couple of months ago, which could mean to stop messing around with the Webber experiment if he goes cold at the beginning of the game. As it stands now, I am taking the Kings in Game 7, by a point. They haven't shown me enough during these playoff games for me to predict even a comfortable win, but I think experience will win out, and this is usually the type of heartbreaking loss a team like the T-Wolves go through before turning that corner to a championship run. Look out for Daniel Stern sightings on Wednesday night, because you all know that for business purposes, the NBA wants LA/Sacramento in the WCF...... Hopefully I can get out of class for the game on wednesday evening.....
  14. How is this "showing Opec" you think they give a shit? Hell they are probably glad and wish every single american drove big trucks and SUVS. I am not quite sure the point you are trying to make here.
  15. Camden Yards was basically the first of the new generation of baseball stadiums. It was the prototype for many of the other downtown, new-school parks. I love how when you walk in off the downtown streets, they have bbq pits all lined up where most people see the big warehouse in rightfield. At least they did back when I went in 97.
  16. with .4 seconds left, you would basically have to get the inbound pass and then hit it like a volleyball towards the hoop and hope it goes in. Sounds like the clock clearly started late, but in the playoffs, the ball tends to bounce the Lakers way in close games like this.
  17. Michael Savage has played the screaming part of the audio over the radio for the past 3 days.
  18. I am not so confident that the Bizarre Dark Phoenix saga would translate well on film.
  19. HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!! Forget the future considerations......lets just bask in the glory of Frank being DONE with the A's......
  20. The Kings still haven't shown their best. With the 7-man rotation though, I am not sure how much longer these guys can keep the juice going. I mean even if they get by Minnesota, how broke down are they going to feel in the WCF? Call me crazy, but I kind of feel that the Lakers are a better matchup for the Kings. Now, this doesn't necessarily mean I think the Kings could beat them this year, but as far as matchups go. I mean Vlade can actually earn a paycheck against Shaq, since he usually still gets schooled, but he makes Shaq earn it. Shaq is just feeding off the soft belly of the Spurs right now.
  21. here in Sacramento, CA, the cheap stuff is $2.15 at the cheaper places in town like Arco-AM/PM.
