A couple years ago I was at the Orangutan exhibit, and the male noticed someone in the crowd holding a red plastic ball(the kind in the jumphouses at mcdonalds playgrounds) so it walked to the edge of it's grassy area(right before there is the big cement drop so they can't escape) and reaches out his arm towards the red ball, sort of asking for it......so the kid looks around sees no staff around and throws it to him....so ar first the Orangutan thinks it is food and tries to eat it and he chews a big hole into the side of it.....he quickly figures out it isn't food, so the smart fucker takes the ball to his waterfall area, and fills it with water and starts using it as a cup......after this his kids or maybe girlfriend orangutan sees this and wants to wrestle it away from him, but he wasn't ready to give it up quite yet....once he got done drinking water, he gave it up to his kids.

Last time I was there I went to the San Diego Wildlife Park. It was great. I also went to Sea World which was fun, but I was a kid so who knows now...

Except it didn't suck. Well I guess that is subjective. Anyways it's really not your call to say whether it was an homage or not. You can definately chime in and suggest it was a shitty way to do an homage though.

Well I opened a gym membership for a brand new state of the art gym right next to my house that opens in March(For signing up early, we get a month free). Anyways, instead of just showing up one day, I decided to at least try and start some type of diet before I start going that way I already have some type of routine and hopefully have some results that way the gym will be a method to accelerate those results..... So I basically know how the diet works, no bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, starches, sugars etc etc...... However I also know it is a LOW CARB, not NO CARB diet......so when I am reading labels, sometimes I am not sure if the food is ok or not. For example, smoked salmon says "Carbohydrates less than 1 g" Or something like Season Salt says 0 Carb, but it has sugar listed in the ingredients....... Anyone else on this type of diet? Getting results? Pros, Cons? The main reason I picked this diet, is because I can still basically make the same dinners I do now, just not the rice or potatoes or bread.....so before I would make, Steak, Potatoes and Veggies, and I don't see it being hard to just not make the potatoes...... This diet isn't a "life-style" change perse, because once I start the gym routine and get results, I plan on adding some of the banned stuff back into my diet in moderation. I will basically switch to more of a portion control diet mixed with going to the gym.

I just had the Pizza Mia pizza for the first time. At the time I had no idea that it was some type of discounted special.....I'd definately say it isn't as good as Pizza Hut's normal Pizza. It isn't gross, (I mean no pizza is) but they definately must be making them different. I figured they started this new promo to compete with Little Caesar's which offer a Large Pepperoni pizza for $5.99 everyday, all day.

Complaining about b-level acting, regarding a movie that is a homage to "grindhouse" films is kind of laughable. I liked Death Proof a lot, better then Planet Terror.

UT turning face because Jake the Snake wanted to his Elizabeth with a chair........I mean come on UT hardly seemed like the type to give a shit....

I think there is a difference between having the best season ever, and being the best team ever. If the Pats win the Superbowl, then there is no argument to be made that they had the best season ever, but with "Best Team Ever" there will always be room for debate because of all the intangibles that teams go through during the NFL season. I mean, for starters, while NE did look dominant for most of the season, when it has come to the post-season, they look like their usual, "just good enough to beat the competition"-selves as they did during their other superbowl runs. So the fact that they went 16-0 should not automatically or necessarily trump the fact that other teams might have gone 14-2 or 13-3 but once the playoffs started, they made fools out of their opponents.

When it comes to Obama, I am more concerned that he is not "Democrat" enough, of course, the same goes for Hillary. I mean it is usually during the primaries that is a "race to the left" but it is as if Obama/Clinton are already in the national election with their "race to the middle" It seems all talk of getting out of Iraq anytime soon has left the campaign trail, probably because the corporate media has declared the surge a success and no one is willing to stand up to such brilliant minds as Katie Couric and Sean Hannity.....!?!

Well I could see it being lame if I bought a pair of MMA-gloves and wore those around town....lol. However buying a t-shirt or a hoodie is no different then buying a football jersey or a band shirt. Now at the same time I see the point of "typical assholes thinking they are tough" because, yeah I know plenty of gym rats who would buy a Tapout or Team Punishment shirt and think because they have muscles and are wearing an MMA shirt, that they are a tough guy, but anyone that knows me, knows that I am the complete opposite of that, I just like the designs on some of the brands. The owner of the company that runs the booth told me he is shying away from Tapout anyway because they can be found at Hot Topic and Tillys and he can't compete with the wholesale rates they get as a company. Also Extreme Couture will only give him $3 less then retail so he doesn't carry that brand yet.....

Best bumper sticker of the year thus far that I saw yesteray "Could someone please give President Bush a blowjob so we can impeach him already"

The show was great. More excitement on this card then a lot of the bigger cards I have ordered at my house. Thank goodness for Hooters for showing all the UFC PPVs because it enables me to see the shows that I can't get enough interest in from friends to come over to watch..... There is an MMA gear vendor booth setup outside my local Hooters, he had some Tapout, Warrior, Sinister, Team Punishment etc etc merchandise for sale and he said Hooters wants him there for every show. If I would have known ahead of time I would have brought some cash with me......

I was watching Hannity & Colmes last night(i know, i know) and everyone was arguing about the economy, and Sean Hannity way out of left field tries to get in his usual pissy last word before they cut out for commercial break and yells out "Are you kiddng me the economy is doing GREAT" If they go by things like GDP and "productivity" then that kind of skews it. Say I am working in a warehouse for a major retail big box store. Every year their productivity numbers rise, so I am going to have to work harder and push more product out, which makes the numbers at the top look better on a piece of paper, but how has the economic status for the guy pushing out more product on his assembly line improved? True, someone somewhere is definately benefitting when productivity rises, but it is not necessarily the people responsible for pushing the higher productivity through. The economy is a tricky thing because the media often only goes by the numbers that show a bigger, better bottomline, which means in all honesty that the people at the top like CEOs are doing better because they are squeezing more work and productivity out of their workers, but at the same time these workers are falling behind inflation rates, have less take-home money, and the overall value of the dollar decreases. So when asking yourself "Is the Economy doing well" I think it is equally important to ask "WHO is the Economy doing well for?"

When it comes to taxes, politicians seem to be easily able to get away with general terms like "american people" and "your" Most of the time when they say "they will raise your taxes" it isn't even the crowd they are speaking to who's taxes would be raised. I dunno why the "raise your taxes" trick works over and over.

If the Democrats take the White House in November, the excuses are over when it comes to the War/Occupation in Iraq. I really hope for Clinton/Obama's sake that they do have a plan to get us the hell out of there.

I got Dish Network two years ago and still have it. There was no installation fee and I didn't have to pay for my equipment because it is all leased and will be returned to Dish Network if I ever cancel my service. I have never really had a problem. I just went through an episode of not getting a hot phone signal through my receiver, but Dish sent me a new receiver, and then the phone company replaced some sketchy wiring outside my house and the problem was fixed.....

Well Gina Carano was supposed to be on the card but she dropped off because supposedly with all the training she has been doing for American Gladiators, she just wasn't ready for a February fight...... Antonio Silva is on the card......the giant of a man. Here is a pretty entertaining interview with Slice/Abbott/Shaw from WO.com http://www.wrestlingobserver.com/wo/news/h...t.asp?aID=21853

I just hope the next time we get a hot female terminator, she isn't designed with special hair that falls over and completely covers her breasts.

My Cat just chewed through my headphones wire
NoCalMike replied to Kawalimus's topic in General Chat
My cat rips through catnip toys within minutes and carries it around in his mouth all over the place leaving a mess of catnip everywhere.......having a hardwood floor makes it more noticeable...... He tried to have a go with the wire that connects the wii sensor bar but I stuffed that wire under and around the TV stand so he can't get to it because it is a very thin wire which would take my cat less then a second to destroy. -
The entire card for the January 25th show can be found here.... http://www.elitexc.com/events/upcoming And all I know thus far about the February 16th show is that the Main Event is Kimbo Slice vs. Tank Abbott

So far through the first two episodes I'd say the show is entertaining and worth watching, but nothing ground-breaking yet. As far as them sending a lesser model then the T-1000 back in time, I think it could easily be explained that there just isn't an abundance of T-1000s walking around to send back. Maybe they take more time and effort to build. I mean they already have said so far that there are plenty of lesser and "dumber" machines then even the T-500 model, roaming around searching for random leads on the trail of the Connors, so since we have yet to see a movie that takes place during the future war, we really don't know if the T-1000 was a more rare model, or if there are just tons of them walking around the place. It's no different then the resistence sending back small groups of people to plant things and help along the way, rather then sending back hundreds of hacked T-500s. I'd imagine in the middle of the war between machines and humans, that it is kind of hard to always send back in time the best possible candidate, so they kind of send what they have available when they are available. The biggest problem I have with the series so far though is the acting, I mean it isn't insane bad or anything, but it is kind of cheesy. Really, anytime Dean Winters is on screen you kind of hope to yourself he gets a lot more screen time before the episode is over because his acting skills pretty much blow away everyone else in the entire show. Oh and regarding Blade: The Series; Fuck the haters. That show was damn good by the time the series came to a close. Unless the budget was too high or something, there is no way it shouldn't have got a second season, especially on a network like Spike. If I remember correctly, the ratings did climb throughout the season, and there was plenty of cliffhander scenarios for a second season. I am just kind of pissed it didn't get a second season because very few series feature the best stuff in the 1st season.......oh and not to mention all the vampire lesbianism...lol~!

The difference though between the Cowboys offense and the Packers offense is that Tony Romo relies on his offensive line to pass block for long enough for him to sit back in the pocket and wait for plays downfield to develop. The Cowboys offense lives and dies off of the big plays. Whether he is rolling out or sitting in the pocket, Romo is a different QB if he doesn't have lots of time. The Packers however, or from what little I have seen have a lot of quick 3-step drops in their offense, a lot of slant passes, that nullify these overloaded blitz packages. So in other words, when you send the house at Romo, as long as you get there before Owens is 40 yards downfield then you are ok. If you send the house at Favre, you better get to him before a WR can run a 5 yard slant....... Completely different Offenses. This isn't to say the Giants defense is going to suck on Sunday, but they will definately have to employ a different strategy, and hope that the D-line alone can generate a pass rush without the help of two linebackers.
-
The Packers are the only NFC team that looked dominant on Sunday. The Cowboys might have looked more dominant then them during the season, but in the playoffs the Packers right now look head and shoulders above the rest. They stumbled for a second against Seattle with a couple of costly turnovers, but after that they pretty much silenced any hope Seattle had, pretty fast. The Giants get lots of credit for beating The Cowboys in Dallas, but winning on the road in Lambeau field is an entirely different level. My prediction is that Green Bay will score first and and the Giants will be playing catch-up for the next two and a half quarters, doing a good job to where they are never "out of the game" but they can't do more then get close, and then once desperation hits them mid-way through the fourth quarter, Green Bay's defense will do what the Dallas defense couldn't, force a turnover, and it will lead to Green Bay finally getting the score that puts the game away.

Redskins players are rallying for Greg Williams to get the Head Coaching job in Washington, stressing continuity and not wanting to start over again with a new scheme on offense/defense. This has lead to speculation that they are just going through the motions with all the interviews. Personally, I feel Greg Williams should get it since he was all but promised the job once Gibbs retired when he signed a contract extension and stayed in DC when he could have entertained HCing offers from other teams. Knowing Dan Snyder though, if there is a big splash to be made he might go for it. If he does hire a D-coordinator as a Head Coach and it isn't Williams, you'd think it would be hard to retain Williams as the D-Coordinator, and that is even if the new head coach would want to keep him.

T.O. has "always had his QB's backs" ? Umm if I remember correctly, he was on playoff teams in San Francisco yet Jeff Garcia was "gay" He was on a superbowl team in Philly but Donovan McNabb got "tired" in the superbowl and they would have won it all had "Favre been throwing the ball to us" Yet now, when Romo seals the deal with an INT to end the game suddenly "Owens has his back" Whatever. My thoughts on the game itself. Well it is hard to really judge the Cowboys performance right now. Either the Cowboys were flat because of the time off, or D-coordinators have learned how to gameplan for them better. Not that I didn't give the Giants a chance today, but I thought their secondary was severely outmanned going into the game, and I am amazed at how well they did in coverage against a team that has more then enough weapons to take on a secondary at full strength. Getting pressure on Romo in the second half of the game really made a big difference. I figured if the Giants were going to win, it was going to be a higher scoring game with the Dallas secondary failing to hold a 4th quarter lead.
