Of course they blurred everyone's faces since WWE threatened litigation (for what I dont know). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Contracted performers being used without their or their employer's permission? On a pay-per-view of a similar promotion that advertised the promo with said wrestlers? Hmm, I don't get it either.

Fuck yes. Homicide, Styles and Joe will make me tune in each week regardless of what the show looks like. Foley accelerates the value of any wrestler he's comes into contact with. For the charisma, overness, and heat he can convey with a promo or match, he's one of the few non-wrestlers that is worth every penny they'll pay him.

Anyone else dread working on Saturdays? Man, I have to switch my schedule up, or else I'm only watching NFL games all year by default.

When I read "inexperienced Marshall team" and "new head coach" on ESPN.com a few weeks ago, I thought "Hmm, yeah, won't pick them this year".

Holy shit.

That's still a weak team defensively, especially among the class they're now going to be included with (Pacers, Pistons, Heat, lower tier in Bulls). In the central division, they have to deal with the Pacers, Pistons, Bulls and Bucks. Hughes is an upgrade at the 2 defensively, but he still makes a lot of mistakes in overpursuing and missing his assignment. Yes, he averages 2.89 steals per game, but like Arenas, that is masked by his inability to cover the player all game long. Unless we see a different Z and Gooden, you're going to see the same rebounding frontcourt that can get torched on any given night. Damon Jones hurts the team when he's on defense. Donyell adds versatility at the 3, but Lebron and Hughes aren't good enough to allow him to play to his strength, which is a 4 masquerading as a 3. If Lebron blossoms as a defender this year, they're going to go a long way with Donyell helping out Gooden and Ilgauskas - meaning, at that point, the three guys will play off of each other. Then again, they're already asking alot out of James already, so I wouldn't expect that to happen overnight. This looks like a disjointed team that could easily mesh if their star player goes beyond the call of duty. As such though, any solid team that is patient enough to find the open shot will beat them handily.

I am not questioning whether you are right or wrong on 4 or 7, but do you have proof on those? Just curious, because everyone pretty much has come to that conclusion but if you have proof that would solidify it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 4 is Windham because he appeared at I and XIII. The Free-For-All match was Billy Gunn v. Flash Funk. 7 is definitely Hogan, because Arn is the trivia question answer to "who is the only man to have consecutive victories against Hulk Hogan". This happened on two consecutive Nitro episodes. As for 10, I said Ali because it looked like a trick question. I mean, if you're being technical, he was on the card. Additionally, I don't remember a video game using Mr. T as a likeness. Actually, it was Bradshaw and Chainz.

If I had to "blame" anyone, it would be John Laurinitis, the guy that's in charge of overseeing talent inside and outside of the promotion. It's likely that he also has a grudge against a few of these wrestlers.

Oops... Saturday Kansas State Maryland Michigan Air Force Iowa Northern Illinois Eastern Michigan Stanford at Navy Oregon State Nebraska North Texas Texas LSU Stanford EDIT: Fixed.

If you really want to examine the team, their depth is questionable. Wright, Gasol and Cardinal can hold the fort, but losing Swift was a big blow for the energy and effort he can contribute every night. They need a minute-eater off of the bench now to replace oft-injured Wright and Gasol. I don't know enough about Bonzi to make an appropriate analysis of what they gain/lose with Bobby Jackson. What I do know, though, is that he (Jackson) will have to do alot of work off the bench with Jones AND Stoudamine starting. EDIT: But yeah, still good enough for a 7 or 8 seed.

Two thoughts after seeing the game: 1. Goddamn, does Kerry Collins suck. 2. Randy Moss will still make him look like a Pro Bowl quarterback.

From the letter... Huh?

They are protecting their investment. It's a step towards pursuing a complete monopoly of the stuff they already own, which I guess is seen as bad. Usually, when a group or individual doesn't own something (example being Shane Douglas who's deluded enough to believe that he has the rights to ECW), they...you know...can't use it. Just because the WWE began exercising the rights doesn't make them the bad guy. This is a corporate move, plain and simple. They don't get revenue from going after the Kidmans and Dudleys of the world because of the tradmarks. The only option for the wrestlers are to cease and desist, not to pay a fine or something. EDIT: Maybe I'm just blinded by my hate for Shane Douglas, who just wants to capitalize off of the ECW name.

And one day, us frail and dependant ladies can only hope to find a big, strong man to lead us in life and, out of the kindness of his own heart, marry us and have kids with us so us delicate creatures don't have to worry about petty things such as work or a career. Oh sigh. If only a man would claim me now so I wouldn't have to go through a silly thing such as school. Thinking is hard! Glad to see WWE is up to standards on equality amoung the genders. Hey, there's Steph! And um, Linda. Oh and, well, you know....look over there! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You don't think that newer wrestlers are supposed to be coddled? I don't think people were coming to Brock and telling him that his first set of matches were slow, plodding, unspectaclular squashes.

I don't know if Hogan has a "rub" to give anymore. The way he portrays himself now, the crowds look at his losses as flukes. Not to mention that even if he jobs clean to Cena, he find'll a way to upstage him (see Rock). Even then, if Cena wins cleanly with no screwiness, what good does it do for him? Struggling to beat a 50-year old man does more damage to his character than you would think. Hogan's last leg is standing on a Olympic-sized swimming pool full of money, and the WWE should and will realize that. Hogan/Austin, being the ultimate money match, is the perfect table-setter for Mania.

4 has to be Windham. 7 is definitely Hogan. 10. Muhammad Ali. 20 is Bundy. I remember an article from Slam.ca that detailed the exact story. Woehrle is also a resident of Jersey, where Bundy is from.

Hmm, one has a $250,000 contract to validate, and the other doesn't?

Well, whether he's right about it or not, he has to address the problem with the other writers, McMahon or the workers themselves. The way that he went about it was unprofessional and screams of markdom. Then again, what the fuck was he expecting out of two non-wrestlers? And how does he have any stroke to even complain?

Well, since VX has his picks in already, here's mine... Lions: 23 Oakland Washington Cincinnati Miami Houston New Orleans N.Y. Jets Jacksonville Tampa Pittsburgh Arizona Dallas Detroit St. Louis (Prove me wrong, Niners.) Indianapolis Philadelphia

I can't believe that it was only a few years ago that I watched this guy in high school. I'm rooting for you, Shane.

NOTE: The pre-orders for the sets say "The events have been edited but all matches are complete". Set #1 - they have I-V listed as a 7-disc set. I figure that IV will be split onto two discs...dunno what Disc #7 is about. Below is the listing of content that they report will be on the DVD. Boxset #2 contains six shows (VI - XI), held on EIGHT discs. Don't know the layout of said set. Set #3 is again six shows long (12 to 17) and spread out over eight discs. X-Seven is a two-disc show. The last boxset holds X-8, XIX, XX and XXI over eight discs, which is correct since they are all double-disc shows.

and... No real bad moments this year, besides Terrell Owens badmouthing McNabb soon after their Super Bowl loss.
