The only match I'm certain that Vince wants him to do is a Wrestlemania match. To be honest, it REALLY doesn't matter who they put him in the ring with.

Umm...go Lions?

Most of the people that stayed into the metropolitan area of New Orleans are too poor/stupid/crazy/ignorant to be portrayed as rational human beings. I mean, if you didn't have enough money to leave the city during a CATEGORY FIVE HURRICANE, why would you be choosy when you're looting? Man, in their situation, I'd try to steal anything worth a shit that I could find and attempt to flee the city when given the opportunity to. I'd build a new life from there. I don't get it. Weren't they enough public transportation to get everyone out of there? Or were those means basically used up? I could imagine every public transport from neighboring cities and states getting people the hell out of the way that disaster.

Upgrade to the highest degree. Combined with Triplett and Reagor, the big gaping hole in their run defense is now closed. But Simon's ability also allows him to lend a hand in collapsing the pocket, giving Brock, Mathis and Freeney (especially) easier opportunities to garner boatloads of sacks. Dungy see the same things in Simon that he did in Sapp when in Tampa, so this should be good news for Colts fans. I shudder to think what they can do if all are healthy (see Triplett). EDIT: Forgot about Reagor.

I'd put this off for a few days... Oregon Utah Bowling Green Rutgers East Carolina Washington (the toughest one for me) Boise State Pittsburgh Texas A&M Auburn UTEP Syracuse Virginia Tech Miami 1. 66 2: 275

Did about five minutes of googling and checking my copy of Dropout... College Dropout has seven skits, coming out at 5:30 if you're REALLY generous. This isn't taking into account 'Last Call', which runs 12:40, or the skits that run over the end of music tracks into its designated track. The album clocks out at 76:25. With 'Last Call', which I do count, the skits run 18:10. Late Registration runs five skits at 3:10. I haven't heard the entire album in its unedited form, so I can't vouch for whether songs have long skits placed into the music tracks. The album clocks out at 69:48.

Question for Al (or Brian, if he's been following Mariners baseball since then) When Randy was coming up, what was the concensus on his potential? I mean, is it the same amount of hype that Felix Hernandez is getting, because the ESPN announcers like to state matter-of-factly that Unit (by 95-96) was simply a fireballer who had no grasp of control. They were showing his Seattle no-hitter, where he got the last Tiger out with a ball that was helmet-high. I have vague memories of what the guy could do in the early 90's (the All-Star moments with Kruk and Walker), but that's still about 10-12 years ago. As a 20-year old with limited knowledge of Mariners history, you may see where I'm coming from in terms of this question.
-
...and as soon as I tune in to see the start of the Mariners sixth, Betancourt breaks up the no-no.
-
Dude, he could've at least used the free trips to see other cities and just feigned interest in those teams. HE'S NOT AMERICAN AT ALL. I don't see Walker and Posey on the starting five at the same time unless it's a small line-up opposing them. O'Neal just has too much ground to cover in the paint to make that a competitive lineup. Haslem, Simien and Laettner will be their serious power forwards, while Posey and Walker will be playing the 3 and 2 (when asked).

Masters. When he faced Tajiri a few weeks ago, Tajiri got the better reactions, and he wasn't the one they'd been pushing non-stop since the start of the year. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thank god. It looked like you were referring to Tomko, which made me think "wait, Tomko got pushed this year?"
-
Benjamin/White is the logical match for this pay-per-view. Are you referring to Tomko?

Both the WCW and Road Warriors DVDs were advertised as "rise and fall" stories. The ECW DVD is the best-selling WWE home video title ever, while the LOD version will settle into the top 5. The Warrior DVD will be advertised subtly over advertisements, so unless you're reading internet reviews of the product, nothing will sway you from buying this DVD. Thrashist sums it up best.

I think it was just a jab at Jarrett, the wrestler. Yeah, they left on good terms, but they've been acknowledging for years now that he did the job to Chyna in his final match with countless "special moments in WWE history" since then. It's a jab since the guy has been a centerpiece of both WCW and TNA since his departure, which in the writers' eyes makes them look like a secondary promotion. 1995, which is in the same ballpark as Turner mentioning Titan for the first time.
-
What he said. ...and this is coming from a guy who's tried every major media player under the sun. I've been using iTunes since the Pepsi promotion first began last spring and never looked back.

Watching Matt/Edge as we speak... If you're going to draw in viewers for the "soap opera" effect, saving the *real* street fight for tonight was a great idea, whether it was on purpose or not. There's still money to be made off of this feud, as this feud should be done in the vein of the HHH/Steph/Angle triangle back in 2000 that drew alot of casual fans in to see what would happen. Draw it out for a few months to see how fans react to it, then blow it off with the fans deciding what should happen in the end (without someone vetoing the intended finish of the storyline). They're already continuing the feud at house shows, with most matches ending in a no contest, so they've got the right idea with that. I'm until the moonsault spot, and this is just refreshing to see a feud reach an apex on RAW instead of pay-per-view. The crowd is feeling it, and I can bet that their quarters will do significantly better than anything else on the show.

...because he's further along than Randy Orton and the Rock were at this point in his career? He has so much time to improve on his in-ring ability, while everything from the mannerisms to the charisma comes naturally for the kid. It was only a few years ago that he was completely against following in his father's footsteps. Sounds a bit familiar?

Spike doesn't care what the WWE thinks or might think - they're leaving in a month anyway. This is the perfect clip to create interest for the product, especially in the timeslot they just plugged it for. (This is in reply to a question that *will* be asked.)
-
This is limited to his work in WWF... 1. v. Foley, Over The Edge 1998. 2. v. Bret, Wrestlemania XIII. 3. v. Rock, Wrestlemania X-7. 4. v. Angle, Summerslam 2001. 5. v. Bret, Survivor Series 1996.

Anyone just simply tired of Diddy trying to be extravagant and over-the-top to the point that it looks like a bad recreation of a 10 year-old trying to show off all of his toys? We get it, Puffy, you're rich. Now shut the fuck up already. We've already got "My Sweet 16" to fill the quota of "unintentional humor revolving around arrogant quasi-celebrities trying to cash in off of people who actually worked hard". EDIT:People were actually cringing at how awkward that segment with Diddy awarding the "Best Dressed of 2005" was. Gwen Stefani had this look on her face that begged for someone to just kill her so she wouldn't degrade her career further, while Snoop was simply blazed out of his skull to care. It looked like a bad prom king-queen ceremony.

Just replace the pause with an expletive. It's perfect. -
Here's a re-post of Mik's topic in March where he posted Baseball America's top 100 prospects. It should be fun to look back and discuss how much of an impact some players have already made.

Not up to snuff on NWA/WCW behind-the-scenes stuff during that time, so without spoiling anything, were all of these acquisitions feasibly possible? A lot of expiring contracts, unhappy workers, Flair's buddies, or what?
