  1. Rey has been watching WAY too many Lifetime movies recently.
  2. If they tease us with an Anthology commercial again I will be PISSED. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The memories, man, the memories...
  3. Any day is fine, but it has to be later than 3:00 PST if it's Friday - way too early for the west coast crowd, especially on a weekday.
  4. Boller...at least chlamydia goes away.
  5. Jericho could be there for the pay-per-view, but is going to have to be moved into a program that doesn't require him at the live shows up until then. Either that, or just announce his match a week before the show. I don't know who I'd pair him up with, though...just like HHH, his last two *fresh" programs are with Cena and Angle.

    New WWE DVD's

I think it is confirmed. And why would you unload the orginals? the new ones will have the blur-a -vision and wwf edited out. but hey I m sure you could get some decent money for your originals (hell I might want to buy them someday) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'd recommend buying the new ones before unloading the old ones. Just like the differences between the Wrestlemania sets (Legacy and Attitude), I can imagine they are going to be very different for various reasons. I'm going to buy the new boxsets despite owning X-7 through XXI, so I'll take the discs that are better, package them in the boxset, then sell the seperate shows with the discs that I don't want.
  7. Just so everyone knows, and thinks the trade was uneven, it was: Hawaii 5-0 receives: Mike Lowell 2nd-round pick It's The R receives: Derek Jeter
  8. If there was anything in the wrestling scene that I could've done better, without suffering a nervous breakdown from handling so many angles or matches (WWF's Invasion), I'd have to go with the three month period leading INTO the Invasion. From the night after Wrestlemania X-7, if I ruled with an iron fist, there would've been alot of changes in that time period.

    New WWE DVD's

from Silvervision... Now, don't bring up concerns about the lack of matches - it could be that the DVD contains a long documentary, or it could be that other matches are in the main program and it also could be likely that they haven't announced all of the matches. Nonetheless, the DVD is scheduled for release later this month.
  10. Off of the top of my head, the Vikings, Falcons, Panthers and Eagles are all going to better than the Cowboys. No, they cut those players because they sucked. Their defensive ends were among the worst in the league, so they cut both (Engelberger and Whiting). Adding Johnnie Morton, among other people, was a good idea - he's decent enough for what he can contribute, which can be a no. 2 or 4 receiver that'll bring 600 yards to the table. They'll be better than a few teams in the AFC. The Dolphins didn't get better. The Browns sucked last year and will continue to suck this year. On the NFC side, it's a toss-up as who'll suck and who'll suck more. The Bears, Lions, Saints, Cardinals, Redskins, Giants and Rams' seasons could all be decided by a few injuries, coaching decisions or rookie failures. Other teams are set up for worse than the Niners are, who although will be playing rookies at the quarterback and halfback position by Week 4, will still look light-years better than they did last year. Anyone who was worth a crap on that team was injured for some part of last season. If their set of linebackers stay healthy, they'll keep the Niners in the game all by themselves. As for the Niners failing to improve over the offseason, they did everything right transaction-wise. They moved all of their dead weight and added youth to their problem areas (secondary, o-line). In the draft, the Niners added a quarterback for the future, a halfback that could be All-Pro given time, two guards to shore up their offensive line (and one who can play all five positions on the line, Snyder from Oregon) and receivers and secondary in the later rounds. I'll predict a 5-11 or 6-10 season, because they have enough to split or sweep anyone in their division, while a few toss-ups and/or cupcakes are there too (W3: Cowboys, W7: Redskins, W8: Bucs, W9: Giants, W10: Bears, W12: Titans, W17: Texans if their season is already decided). As for next year's draft, there at least four o-linemen that are Top-10 material including D'Brickashaw Ferguson and with Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart, we've got a great pick no matter where we finish. Well, it's good that we both recognized that Lions won't win the division, then. I'll do the Super Bowl Shuffle if they even make the playoffs.
  11. If you need a few players, I'm definitely in.
  12. Uh-oh. ...and what the fuck is a stat monkey?
  13. Well, with my 20 GB iPod, I use about 4 gigs for music, then use the rest for spare storage on the data side. It's the quickest way that I know to transfer huge video and audio files from computer to computer. Of course, I recently purchased a new PC, and am in the process of moving the files, so there's your explanation. Saved me a ton of time and effort. I also keep all of my installers on there, just in case.
  14. Corino ruptured his eardrum in ROH last summer (same event with Low-Ki concussing Danny Maff with a kick). I'm pretty sure he's completely deaf in one ear.
  15. Ross - 'Imposing his physical will...' What the fuck does that mean?
  16. Nope, but it's because they're still a bit away from release. According to PWInsider, the Horsemen DVD will be released in the first week of November, while the Best of Starrcade comes out in the first week of December. IIRC, both are double-discs.
  17. I'd take everything that Chris Chavis says with a grain of salt. It's not as if his fans will give a shit when it turns out that he's lying. Janetty showed that he was still in great shape, and put out two solid matches, including a probable MOTYC in consecutive days. THAT's why he was offered a contract.

Palmeiro's turning over all information of the positive test to Congress. Hmm...
  19. C'mon, their bench is basically in the same shape it was last year. Even if they don't keep Damon Jones, they have Posey, Simien and Mourning. I'm pretty sure that they're going to pick up a player, because their roster is only at 11, last I checked. Those draft picks suck, because they're going to be deep second-rounders, players that won't be better than role players on a Heat squad that now can't help but put up 110 points a game. He opted out of the last year of the contract that would've paid him $33 million, and there was no doubt that Miami would've gave him a outrageous contract next year had he been a selfish player. He's probably harder on himself than anyone else is, but it's not like the Heat won't move him if he's not worthy of his contract. I give him three good years, which by that time could see Shaq retiring when the Heat wins a championship or two. EDIT: Judging by hoopshype says, Walker, Mourning and Emmett are FA's next season, while Posey has a player option (will stay for the money he's making).
  20. You're right - in my opinion, this is probably the best show top-to-bottom that they've booked since last fall. What I find most encouraging is MNM being portrayed as a top team despite not holding the belts. It really doesn't matter who you job in the match - Booker or Benoit - because the screwjob loss really doesn't hurt either and puts heat on the heels. Everyone seems to be protected for the most part (Christian has a talk show, so his in-ring record is essentially meaningless until he finds a program), so I'm happy with how the entire night was booked. This detailed report from WO.com explains the little stuff. Nice to hear about the hot crowd considering the crowd at Mohegan Sun wasn't up for anything, really.
  21. They got two second-rounders, a trade exception and Qyntel Woods for Antoine, who they weren't going to sign anyway. Hell, I think this was the best offer on the table for him, especially with the lack of interest from teams with extra parts (those draft picks and the trade exception). With that money, they could go out and make another trade, sign a solid guard now or wait for the amnesty waiver wire. Much more freedom than what Walker was giving them. I'm surprised that it took that little to get Butler to New Orleans. Snyder has been unspectacular ever since the initial rookie workouts last summer, though, and is basically fighting for a job now.
  22. So what's it going to be: complaining about out-of-nowhere title changes, or complaining about predictable title changes? No offense, but it just seems that no one can decide here.
  23. Snitsky has some pump-handle slam, which may or may not be called the Coat Hanger (per Scott Keith). I don't see the complaint with Snitsky not having a finisher; I don't remember the last time he's pinned someone. As for Carlito, he should go to the safe, effective move that'll get him heel heat...Rock Bottom.
  24. Given how much I loathe Rob Schneider, even when he's parodying himself, he saved the show tonight; then again, it was probably the lesser of two evils with the shit I had to sit through after the tag match. I want to see it coming from a mile away, Rudo -- I'm a WWE fan, so you can't expect anything different. EDIT: I also can't believe how much I hate Snitsky. This is the most contempt I've held for a wrestling personality in my lifetime. I've never wished physical harm before to any wrestler... even Mark Henry. There are no words to describe how much I loathe everything about him, from his character, to his facial expressions, to his selling, to his promo ablility, to his sheer ineptitude in the ring. Snitsky has ceased to be funny in an IWC-"he's so bad, he's good" manner, but has since completed another revolution to become the the biggest waste of wrestling tights on this continent.
  25. Why was Matt posing to the crowd? For a guy who has a 'mind for the business', he probably did the most damage to the angle with that. Why not say your shit and walk out with your head down? Instead, you just killed a considerable portion of heat that revolved around the angle. It's the little things that'll decide if Matt/Edge works or not. So far, they've fucked it all up since the cage match attack.
