MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread
Mik replied to RavishingRickRudo's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
Justin McCully was on Inside MMA. At the end they ask everyone what's next for them. He mentioned that he was in talks to fight Brock Lesnar and he's really hoping it comes through. Brock will smash him to bits. -
If anyone didn't read the interview I posted - they said we will find out who is in the coffin by the end of the season so don't worry that we'll be waiting to find out for years. I agree, it's someone not in the 6. I guess Michael.
-
I believe they said that two survived the crash but died on the island while many died during the crash itself.

Must read interview, I think. http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20179125,00.html I think VX's opinion will be addressed shortly in the sense that there are going to be two plausible theories that we are going to be presented in regards to Ben's list and both will be supported. We're not going to know which is true for a bit.

Looks like Miggy and Dontrelle were the last of the big fire sales, assuming that ownership follows what they have been saying for years. Construction begins in November. http://florida.marlins.mlb.com/news/articl...sp&c_id=fla

I figured it was Aaron a bit early on, as well. Miles being a sell-out was pretty funny but the best was Locke and the grenade. I have a feeling the "Locke as leader" storyline is only going to get better.

I'd like to think not. I'd also like to point out that I outgrew that after my sophomore year and Andy Bernard is in his mid 30s.

I highly suggest game 6 of the 2003 NLCS. Amirite, Czech and Bruiser? I didn't really want to ever address EHME, but you never personally went after me... so I never found you mean. Maybe it's because I'm getting to be an old man but perpetual internet posturing just really gets on my nerves these days.

UFC Fight Night - Florian v. Lauzon

I can vouch for the site. He hooked me up with an invite about a month or so ago and I've found alot of good stuff. You get every major card, the prelims, and there's a lot of old Pride stuff on there. -

No, they aren't in the same weight class. Brock is 60 pounds heavier than Chuck. -
Ok - I like or engage in: Standing still at concerts (i sometimes move a little bit but never outright dance), expensive sandwiches, Juno, Apologies, dogs, living by the water, Asian Fusion Food, sushi, indie music, apple products, Arrested Development, breakfast places, The Daily Show/Colbert Report, microbreweries, traveling, "gifted children", tea, Wes Anderson movies, film festivals, coffee. Some of this is trying a little too hard but there are some greats spots. Like this. Now that's just awesome.

No Human Cannonball without Malibu!

The Gauntlet also sucks. They get 8-10 every time... every contestant.

At least with Mikhail it is plausible that the sonic pulse or what-have-you wasn't a lethal amount and then he was just being sarcastic when he was talking about how he was dead a few hours ago. I'm just going to ignore the Missing Pieces webisode w/ Christian, for now, because 90% of the people who watch Lost will never see that and I hope it was just some thing to get the fanboys going nuts. I agree with Curry - I hope they don't go that route.

That's exactly what I wrote. -
Yeah, that was a suicide mission. He's gone.
-
Yeah but I think she only appeared on one event all season. They won't bring her back. At least we know Gina will be back for season 2. She said on Inside MMA on Friday. They should bring back mostly everyone. They could lose Hellga and Militia though.

Meltzer is reporting that 81 was the third highest grossing PPV of all time. Win or lose, Brock earned his money. -
Please don't even hint at the previews or spoilers without tagging. Normally I'm not so anal but after the fucking shit storm that I just watched I don't want a single thing leaked. I have a lot to say. That's just what I took from it anyway. As for the rest of the episode: They really painted masterstrokes with this season. It's just amazing.

Hot Rod was actually written with Ferrell in mind as the lead. He turned it down so Samberg and the Lonely Island guys picked it up and tweaked a few things.
-
The winner and last man standing will be the winner! Thanks, Lillian.
-
They couldn't believably do that. Floyd looked so ridiculously small next to Show.
-
Down goes Duke. Opens the door for UNC to reclaim the regular season ACC title.

Mayweather said he was cheering for Rey. Show came out after Edge pinned Rey. Gave a little promo about how much weight he lost (looks to be a legit 75+... he said 108), how he's glad to be back. Rey is still recovering. Show went after him. Held him by the throat and taunted Mayweather. Floyd jumped in the ring. They had a staredown... Show shoved Floyd. Big Show got on one knee to taunt Floyd. He then got hit with 2 legit shots out of 3 punches thrown. Floyd and his posse just bolted over the rail and out of there. Show chased em down... he almost killed one of them by jumping on them. His nose was bleeding pretty badly.

On the replay it looks like it was the left uppercut at the very end that drew the blood. That was pretty cool.
