Not too bad since the original cases and all of the inserts are included with no stickers or any of that mess on anything. Returner Kill Bill Volume 1 Beyond Re-Animator Down With Love (WIDESCREEN!) Downhome 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2004 I was going to start this as a topic, but I'll just post it in here. I did my rounds at various pawn shops today and I found some great deals. For just around $47, I got the following. Cowboy Bebop: The Movie (Used) $6 American Splendor (Used) $6 Scary Movie 3 (New and sealed) $8.50 The Cooler (New and sealed) $8.50 In America (New and sealed) $8.50 Love Actually (New and sealed) $8.50 All used DVDs were on sale for $6, and all new and sealed DVDs were on sale for $9, or two for $17...a Memorial Day sale (usually used DVDs are $8 and new ones are $10 and $12). Now my question. Is it even possible that these new and sealed DVDs were obtained legally? I gave them the benifit of the doubt and since I don't really know one way or the other. I asked how they got them by simply saying "do you have a distributor or something?" and they just replied with "yes, something like that". This isn't a seedy type of place either, it's a really nice pawn shop, very clean, in a very nice shopping center. It isn't like they just have one or two of all of the titles, they have box after box of new and sealed DVDs, new releases. They get them every week, just like a normal store, so I dunno. I just found it both odd, and interesting.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2004 I've come into some new and sealed titles in my time from various sources and more times than not, when you pay basically nothing for them, they weren't obtained legally. Pawn shops around here just sell TVs and freaking gold chains and the like. But that's Saginaw for you. We're pretty ghetto and that's where our interests lie. And BF, check out Major League this weekend and the Kurosawa titles in the middle of the day. While great films, most of them aren't exactly something you wanna pop in on a Friday or Saturday night.
