Guest drdrainoscott Report post Posted August 11, 2003 With Booker T out of action, Meltzer reports that we will see a new IC title contender tonight. To me, there doesn't seem to be any faces that could really be a viable contender (although they could just go the easy route and put Goldust in Booker's place to defend his partners honor). I would actually like to see a returning Al Snow step up to the plate. Now what are the chances that will happen?
Nevermortal 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 Hurricane would be a logical choice. Ha. Logic.
DerangedHermit 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 Goldust could work (and if he wins it, a Dust-Storm feud?)
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted August 11, 2003 I can see it being either Val Venis or Scott Steiner.
Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted August 11, 2003 How about Maven?
KTID 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 How about a returning Harvey Whipleman.....exactly!!!
Aero 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 I'm thinking The Hurricane (most likely), Steiner, or Goldust.
Myxamatosis 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 It kind of has to be Hurricane, as he just had a match with X-tain last week. But shit, it'll probably be Steiner, son of a bitch.
fazzle 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 I've got $5 on Shane McMahon.

BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 This is WWE. It will be Rosie.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 What happened to the Booker-man?
ANKLELOCK 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 Reports on other news sites say the original plan was to have a Booker T vs Christian vs Steiner vs Test for the IC Title at SS. With Booker T out 6-8 weeks now that is obviously not the plan. WWE is, however, thinking about keeping the Fatal Fourway match with a new wrestler in Booker's slot. Believe it or not, right now, the leading candidate is the Hurricane. I got this all off LoP by the way.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 Hurricane/Christian wouldn't be too offensive...but adding Steiner and Test? ...one less reason to order SummerSlam...
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 Hurricane/Christian wouldn't be too offensive...but adding Steiner and Test? ...one less reason to order SummerSlam... Considering I could see Test ending up winning the damn thing so that the Steiner and Test feud can continue in all it's MIGHTY GLORY~!
LivingLegendGaryColeman 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 I really hope it is Hurricane. Not just because I am a huge Hurricane mark, but the guy has done nothing of significance since Rocky put him over. No PPVs, not even the brand exclusive one. He'd be a fresh face and someone fun to watch.
Guest Space_Cowboy Report post Posted August 12, 2003 Hurricane or Goldust would be the best choices, but it's the WWE so they'll choose someone crap istead.
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 They could always put the title on RVD. Then the SS match would be for the IC title too. Although, the IC belt might be 'below' Kane.
Guest The Decadent Slacker Report post Posted August 12, 2003 Goldust makes sense, due to his history with Booker, but the company's past record of logic in storylines is about as consistant as King Kong Bundy's hangliding career. Helms is fine. He can work & is over. Maybe a face Storm or something. NOT Steiner. Hell I'd take NASH over Steiner.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 I vote for Tommy Dreamer!!! (and hears crickets in the distance)
Guest Nightscrawler Report post Posted August 12, 2003 They'll do the same angle with Christian/Hurricane/Rosie as last week, but it ends up with Rosie challenging Christian for the belt.
Guest Ray Report post Posted August 12, 2003 I mark for Val Venis. Let it be him, I say.
Internet Warfare 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 Why not RVD, he's not gonna be doin' much after SS...or Randy Orton.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 Jericho or RVD would be nice. This is WWE though, Eh, it will probably be re-signed Chyna.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 Well, it sure as hell better not be Spike. I vote Helms.

Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 Rico!
Guest Korgath Report post Posted August 12, 2003 Steiner as transitional face champ for Rico. Ah heck, who am I kidding? Please, oh please don't let it be Test. Not that I wouldn't mark out for a Test win (*dodges WMDs from the whole world*) but that it'll only lead to a furthering of Test/Steiner till SS. Wouldn't mind Val, Goldy or even Stevie though... especially the latter. RAW needs every reason it can think of to keep Vicky on screen.
Adam 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 Id mark for Stevie as IC Champ, especially if they brought in Blue Meanie and re-formed the bWo and feuded with Nash....
Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 12, 2003 *sigh* Mutants. It WAS NOT anything special...it was no different then the shit we have right now with Storm and Goldy... Why do you people immeditly plead for something from ECW when the opportunity comes to it...
