Boner Kawanger 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2003 The Fabulous Moolah was originally scheduled to wrestle a match on the Smackdown taping for her 80th birthday. Several years ago, Vince McMahon promised Moolah that he would book her for a match after she turned 80. The match is now tentatively scheduled for September 15th at Raw, which is in her home town of Columbia, SC. credit: Wrestling Observer Newsletter Someone say something. edotherocket 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2003 That'll be a better main event than what we've had in the past few weeks of Smackdown.

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2003 At least it's on smackdown where we all can avoid it... ...at least, those of us not in the building that night. May god have mercy on them all.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 24, 2003 It's just so Moolah can say she wrestled in 7 different ages. 20's 30's 40's 50's 60's 70's and 80's. I don't have any problems with it and at least it's in her hometown... She done alot for the industry...
Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 24, 2003 If they wanted they should just have Heel Molly or Heel Gail beat Moolah whom is the Hogan of Female Wrestling...Always over.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2003 From what I've heard, she's done a lot more to hold the industry back...

bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2003 but did he promise that it would be on TV? Book this shit as a dark match, or a velocity/heat thing, or a house show or something! C'mon Vince!
edotherocket 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2003 The time to really start worrying is if she's booked against RVD.

MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2003 I figured everyone would know that she'd be booked against The Real Brock Lesnar. She won't have a hip to lay on.
Guest deadbeater Report post Posted August 24, 2003 Wouldn't it be cool if Molly wins, then proceed to literally bury her, and call herself the Fabulous Molly, saying she deserves that moniker more than anyone? She now lives in South Carolina too.
Guest Fook Report post Posted August 24, 2003 I'd mark for the Fabulous Molly.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2003 HHH: Hey, uh..Po..Vince..can I get a match when I turn 80.. Vince:..anything you want.. Flair: What about me, whooooo!? Vince: You already got your match..

Guest JMA Report post Posted August 24, 2003 (edited) I'd consider Moolah to be the Freddie Blassie of women's wrestling, rather than the Hogan. Give her a match with Molly and send her out on a high-note. Edited August 24, 2003 by JMA
Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2003 Well...at least it's not Luger. Look at it from that perspective. UYI
Downhome 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2003 I don't see what's wrong with this. It's only being done for two reasons, those being to show respect for her and to pop the home town crowd. Add to that the fact that the match will be very short, and I see no reason to bitch about this. Besides, Moolah/Young usually pop the ratings for the segments they are a part of. Adam 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2003 I dont have a problem with it, as long as it only takes up 5 minutes, and as long as Mae isn't involved.

Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2003 Sweet jesus. I was hoping this would be a house show. Trish and Molly are busy, so they're out. She'd have to carry Gail Kim, so she's out. And Skinny Bitch is too good to be true. My guess is Jackie Gayda. Oh dear god.
