godthedog Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 i am blown away by the depth and profundity of the responses in this thread. i'll never look at family guy the same way again.
King Kamala Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 This news is pretty bitching. However I wonder if they're gonna make it basically a 90 minute episode of the TV show like Beavis and Butthead Do America or make it an R-rated movie like Jackass: The Movie and South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut?
Vern Gagne Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Do they still make new episodes of Family Guy?
Guest Eagan469 Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Do they still make new episodes of Family Guy? no, but they're thinking about it because the reruns have been drawing GREAT ratings on Cartoon Network the movie is the first step, I guess
Cuban Linx Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 This news warms my black heart. Any new Family Guy is great, this movie will almost certainly be an instant purchase by me.
Vern Gagne Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 I'd rather have 2 or 3 seasons of new episodes.
Guest wrestlingbs Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Woohoo, this brings a smile to my face! Family Guy was always one of those shows people loved but Fox hated. I'm glad it's finally getting it's props.
Ced Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 I wonder how many potshots at Fox the movie will make.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 I bet none since its gonna get distributed by FOX.
King Cucaracha Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Hell yeah! Hopefully this'll mean a new series afterwards as well...

I think a 90-minute episode much like what was done with B&B would be better. Family Guy already really pushes the envelope and to have it go into South Park: The Movie territory might ruin it.
PLAGIARISM! Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Hmm...looks like all the popular exclamations of joy are taken. I'll have to think fast.... PICKLING~! I'll get me coat.
Red Baron Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 FUCKING EH!!!! now lets see. If they got away with so much shit on TV, how much can they get away on the Big Screen?
Blue Bacchus Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 Dude it's straight to video not the big screen but very shagadelic none the less.
LivingLegendGaryColeman Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 Woohoo, this brings a smile to my face! Family Guy was always one of those shows people loved but Fox hated. I'm glad it's finally getting it's props. I recently found my love for Family Guy with the box set, but I have no clue how Fox can even have the right to hate a show with half the crap they put on. Although I guess it isn't allowed to get network love, because it doesn't include "LIVE ANIMALS -GONE DEAD!"
