BoboBrazil Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 *Sonjay Dutt & Jerrelle Clark vs. Eric Young & El Fuego
Nevermortal Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 Ok...well...Jerelle Clark is going to go over like Gangbusters in Nashville because of his big move, that's all I can tell ya.
Ripper Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 The first time I saw "Mr. 630" (or 20...what ever number it is) I just kinda sat there and stared at the screen for minutes like "What the fuck did I just see?"
Mecha Mummy Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 I believe it's 630 and that should be pretty. Too bad I don't intend on ordering tomorrow. Screencap, maybe? .gif?
Styles Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 I've never heard of any of these guys, but Im expecting 10 minutes of insane spots where they kill each other for my pleasure. Am I right?
BoboBrazil Posted October 14, 2003 Author Report Posted October 14, 2003 Well Eric Young sucked ass last time he was on. Sonjay Dutt is cool from the little I've seen of him and I've never seen the other two.
Lord of The Curry Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 Ok...well...Jerelle Clark is going to go over like Gangbusters in Nashville because of his big move, that's all I can tell ya. Which move would that be, pray tell? I'll be @ a Radiohead concert Wed night so I won't be ordering.
Guest Choken One Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 I'm expecting a botch fest with no story that people will claim is ***3/4 merely because someone did a 630 and a couple wacky counter reversal spots..
Mecha Mummy Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 Well, Sonjay Dutt is a good worker. Eric Young's average to subpar, from what I saw. Never seen the other two in action, though.
syxx2001 Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 A botchfest with no story is a hell of alot better than a 5 star match because of some UFC submissions and leg locks you have never heard of.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 *Does 1000 highspots* *Accepts MOTY award* This quote came from GameFAQs of all places.
Astro101 Posted October 14, 2003 Report Posted October 14, 2003 After last week's Styles/Rhodes match, I wouldn't mind a mindless spot fest tomorrow night.
Guest Markingout Posted October 15, 2003 Report Posted October 15, 2003 Sonjay is usually crisp. Local talent,in Clark! Sweet, this guy pwnz. Meh to young. And Mr.Fuego?
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted October 15, 2003 Report Posted October 15, 2003 I really dug Eric Young's match with Val Venis on Heat this past Sunday. Unfortunately, he'll be in full TNA spot mode, with Sonjay, a retarded spot monkey, and some dude who might turn out to be Scott D'Amore under a mask.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted October 15, 2003 Report Posted October 15, 2003 A botchfest with no story is a hell of alot better than a 5 star match because of some UFC submissions and leg locks you have never heard of. maybe in your opinion....
Zack Malibu Posted October 15, 2003 Report Posted October 15, 2003 Sonjay will be the next breakout X Division star, IMO. He can be the next face to build the division around (unless Sabin is turning).
The Dames Posted October 15, 2003 Report Posted October 15, 2003 EL FUEGO~! The jokes will write themselves tonight. Dames
The Ghost of bps21 Posted October 15, 2003 Report Posted October 15, 2003 That thought occured to me while I was writing the preview. All I could picture was the words HOUSE EL! FUEGO!!! over and over

Depends what mood you're in. If you want to be entertained, you'd watch an RVD-Lynn match over say an Angle-Lesnar match...if you wanted to actually watch good wrestling(of the pure kind), then you'd go for the Angle-Lesnar. Say what you will about spot wrestling...if they get the spots right, the crowd will lap it up, and that's what they're there for...to pop the crowd.

What I do find pathetic is those that can't read the psychology that a spot-centric match has as compared to a met based match. Once again, people sitting around waiting for reasons to say a match sucked instead of enjoying the match.
Guest trickstyle_360 Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Sonjay and Clark are pretty good. Sonjay can work a match with a story, he can hit the spots, he can work heel or face. Clark is a good spot guy, and the 630 is incredible. El Fuego is a local guy here in Ontario, and he's pretty decent from what I've seen....he does some cool stuff from time to time. Eric Young is subpar though.
Guest The Real Nosferatu Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 Now I know why El Fuego name sounds so familiar. Also the Cubs are fucked
