Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 Okay... So... The Undetaker has had how many title shots in the past year ? How many has he won ?
Use Your Illusion Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 So guys, PPV of the year? Vengeance was better, IMO. But nothing beat Taker's performance in the main event, that was off the page. Meltz said it dragged too long, but fuck him, I loved every second. UYI
Spaceman Spiff Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 So, does this set up Taker squashing the FBI for the next 3 weeks ( *again* )?
The Mandarin Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 Shit, that was good. Whole pay-per-view. Thank GOD I ordered it at the last second. I give Taker/Brock ****, and it SLIGHTLY edges out Tajiri/Rey for MOTW.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 I'm glad I ordered this at the last minute.
Guest Choken One Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 So for those who questioned bret's sanity after saying taker was one of the best workers around...here's proof when the fuck brings it...he BRINGS it.

Meltz said it dragged too long, but fuck him, I loved every second. UYI Vengeance sucked. No Mercy is king.
Guest Coffey Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 I don't know why you people act so surprised about the Undertaker. I'm telling you, he is ten times better as the "American Badass." Ever since his last title run, he's really been on. I don't care if I'm in the minority. I know what I see....
CanadianChick Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 I will say that I was one person that thought that the Brock/Taker match would be boring. Guess they proved me wrong, going by what everybody is saying here.
{''({o..o})''} Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 Anybody else think this PPV was this good because Vince and Steph were too busy with their match to fuck it up?
Guest Choken One Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 I'll say he's been "ON" since he returned but not since he converted to the American Bad Ass...
Use Your Illusion Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 I don't know why you people act so surprised about the Undertaker. I'm telling you, he is ten times better as the "American Badass." Ever since his last title run, he's really been on. I don't care if I'm in the minority. I know what I see.... I've been singing the praises of Undertaker for almost 2 years on this board and got no where. FEEL THE TAKER LOVE PEOPLE
AndrewTS Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 I don't know why you people act so surprised about the Undertaker. I'm telling you, he is ten times better as the "American Badass." Ever since his last title run, he's really been on. I don't care if I'm in the minority. I know what I see.... The "American Badass" sucked. He was still "eh" in 2000 when he came back. It was only mid-2001 that he was starting to change up his style and get better. I fucking loathe that gimmick. Plus, he had a couple huge stinkers in 2002 on PPV from what I remember, but lately he's been terrific.
Repo Man jr Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 Really good show, and I can't remeber the last time I was really into a wwe ppv.
Downhome Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 I would just like to take this time to say one thing. Not only would I not mind Taker winning the strap again, damnit to hell, I WANT him to.
Silence Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 Surprisingly good PPV, with Undertaker being motivated in the match against Lesnar, along with Tajiri vs. Mysterio. I don't like The Big Show as US Champ, but I hope this means Eddy is moving up the card.
Steviekick Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 I will say that I was one person that thought that the Brock/Taker match would be boring. Guess they proved me wrong, going by what everybody is saying here. Same here. I thought it would be more rehashing of last year.
Guest Choken One Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 well Eddy jobbed...we can assume this means he MIGHT be moving up but meltz is saying Benoit whom went over huge tonight is getting the nod...I'm fine with either one myself... TBS isn't my ideal Wrestling Champion but he's a god damn good heel...
Jack_Bauer Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 Well, I KNEW the PPV would be good and it was.
Guest hhheld_down Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 what the holy fuck!?!!! I am reading your posts here about this shitty lookin ppv and it was GREAT?!!?!?!?!!! Cruiserweights getting time, UT with a FOUR STAR MATCH.. has hell frozen over!?!?! If RAW is really good tommarow, id say thats a big sign that hell has indeed frozen over my friends.
Guest Choken One Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 well apprently Steph and Vince weren't focused on the booking and that Heyman wrote it with Patterson... Only explantion for this goodness I can think off...
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 Thumbs up all round. If I was to get it on DVD, I'd only skip the APA match. Everything else was average to great. Has anyone else noticed that Taker, A-Train and Big Show seem to be improving consistently since the brand split? Maybe the workrate is rubbing off on them.
Guest Coffey Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 I would just like to take this time to say one thing. Not only would I not mind Taker winning the strap again, damnit to hell, I WANT him to. I want to see him win a Royal Rumble before his WWE career is over. If that leads to another title reign, so be it. I still like him, and I think he makes a credible champion.
Guest Choken One Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 It's because they get more tv time which forces them to try harder...
Fökai Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 well apprently Steph and Vince weren't focused on the booking and that Heyman wrote it with Patterson... Only explantion for this goodness I can think off... Other than the workrate, which was also there at the Vengeance PPV? Cruiserweights getting time, UT with a FOUR STAR MATCH.. has hell frozen over!?!?! If RAW is really good tommarow, id say thats a big sign that hell has indeed frozen over my friends. Rey and Kidman got 15-20 minutes with the tag champs at Vengeance. Undertaker pulled off a ***1/2 match with Cena there too.
Guest Dmann2000 Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 Shit, it's my cable, I'll buy the replay- what is it like 34.95?
Guest Choken One Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 yep...You could save 15 bucks in 4 weeks and get the dvd though...
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 Well, kudos to WWE for realizing that yes, the SD talent ARE able to perform and perform well when given the time to do it. Now if they could just work on the actual week-to-week BUILD of these matches (because let's face it, the build to this one left a lot to be desired), then they'd be rolling. Already have O'Geese's site bookmarked for a few weeks now; it said it be back posting videos after this PPV.
LucharesuFan619 Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 Who are the Japanese Mafia exactly? Have they worked in any North American feds before? Former WCW star Jimmy "Yung" Yang and UPW star Ryan "Keji" Sakoda.
Guest Dmann2000 Posted October 20, 2003 Report Posted October 20, 2003 Yeah, I'll probably wait until DVD- or see if my coworker ordered it and tape a copy from him (did it for Vengence)
