AlwaysPissedOff 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 He says that he was taught to concentrate on his in-ring skills first, character second. I see someone's doing things backwards. I personally can see why he's not pushed. He acts like a twat and he thinks he's way better than he is. He can pop a crowd but hey so could Rikishi. He talks about how WWE has castrated him but his matches in WWE that I've seen have been better than his ECW work not involving Jerry Lynn. WWE doesn't allow him to stall after every move. I also wonder why he has a feeling Triple H doesn't like him. Might it be because he can't work a main event where he's not flopping around or bumping for a big man and HHH exposed him in a PPV main event? Could it be because he landed on Hunter's throat off a high place? Fuck RVD and his pompous attitude. Vince knows how to get the one up on people who piss him off so it'd be wise for RVD to not try and act like he has any sort of stroke and try and badmouth the guy who pays him. Game's got a point there.

the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 "Might it be because he can't work a main event where he's not flopping around or bumping for a big man" Didn't HBK become a star doing this? A.) Who cares if he is a pompous ass? He has been the most over face when given any semblence of a push. He has been in the top three faces when given nothing. I don't see where being an ass detracts from those qualities. Rikishi gets an entrance pop and a stinkface pop, RVD gets pops whenever he does anything. B.) I don't see where he is a pompous ass. Does he inflate his abilities somewhat? Yes. Everyone does.

The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 If this guy resigns with the WWE, he's going to look like a little whore. Time to shit or get off the pot Rob. Well...it's not time now. He's stuck doing what he's doing for another 8 months or so.

Yeah, you're supposed to work with the opponent, not expose him. Plus as the heel and the vet he controlled the match. RVD's not a great worker but HHH is heavily to blame for that match. Again, when in WWE are good ring skills required for a push?
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 WWE isn't going to let RVD go, I really don't think they will. For all you people know, WWE is allowing RVD to go out and shoot like this in interviews, just to keep his "cocky" persona that he has on WWE TV. The fact, is that none of us know either way. Yeah, I think DH's got a point here. Ever wonder why WWE allows him to keep doing these interviews? You would think that they would make him stop after one. After all, they do control what interviews wrestlers can do.

Having a babyface go on the radio and badmouth everyone face or heel...i don't see how that does anything but give Vince leverage to offer him a shitty deal. Um, no. Vince is telling them that HHH is the best wrestler in WWE. I don't see a lot of people claiming that. Alot of people just don't like RVD. He's an aquired taste. Guest deadbeater Report post Posted October 20, 2003 They need new outlaw-type characters now that their former main outlaws are either the sherriff (Austin) or went to raid Hollywood for cash (The Rock). Who better than RVD and Eddy Guerrero?
Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted October 20, 2003 RVD is just coming off as a moaner. I mean, get over it, pally! There have been alot more talented people than you who haven't got the push they deserve. Hell, at least he is on TV every week and gets on PPV most of the time. It could be worse. Maybe the WWE doesn't want to push RVD to the moon because he is a dick backstage or he injured half the roster, who knows.

Vince *LOVES* to watch people burn bridges. The only thing that makes this strange is that he's letting RVD do it in public. That being said...there's no way RVD can walk up to Vince and say "Hey I need a big raise and a title run to stay" after these interviews. I think it's possible that Vince just thinks he'll come back regardless because the WWE is all there is. While that IS true...it doesn't mean that every single person in the world is going to choose nothing over unhappiness.

If he's the antichrist of wrestling why hasn't he been put out by now? From reading these threads over and over we all know that he can't sell, can't work, can't talk, and according to MikeSC isn't over anyway. so why don't they just kill him already? That's what i'm saying BPS, all i hear is the same complaints over and over, if he is really that bad as a wrestler they why is he over with the fans or why he hasn't been sent to OVW to learn how to work? Or Vince should just fire him instead of telling him that he wants to resign him again. I truly don't get the RVD haters b/c their reasons for RVD not getting a push could apply to a lot of WWE main eventers right now.
