We share common taste in picks (Houston, Baltimore, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Denver, San Francisco)

 

Your only miustake pick of the differing ones is the Bengals. 1 bad pick of 7 differing picks isn't that bad. You should be fine. Denver, San Francisco and Philly are pretty much locks imo and that means you only need 1 of the other 4 to come in for you. Baltimore should be that 4th pick considering the Dolphins are starting Griese and the Ravens defense will probably eat him for lunch.

Well, I shall see how much holds true for me so far as I woke up late to watch most of the morning games. Considering there are 7 games, tiebreaker becomes mute in point.

 

BUF/HOU - Houston suprises me an beats Buffalo 12-10. 1-0 for Saints.

 

CAR/WAS - Carolina does the job I knew it would, 20-17. Tied at 1-1.

 

CLE/AZ - Wow. Blowout by Cleveland 44-6. 2-1 for Falcons.

 

SD/DEN - Considering Denver's up 10-0 in 2nd, so I lose point for now. Tied at 2-2

 

IND/NYJ - Indy's up 10-7 in the 2nd, so I get point for now. Falcons up 3-2.

 

GB/TB - Green Bay's up 10-0 in the 2nd, so I get another point for now. Falcons up 4-2.

 

NE/DAL - Game's pending at 8:30pm. So no decision.

 

As long as those two games hold true for me, I won't need to worry about NE/DAL as I'll have more points total.

 

Wee... 6-4. Hopefully fazzle losses this week so I'm in a position to challenge for the division title. Unlike my poor counterparts.

Indy's still winning so I've still got that point, Denver's winning so you've got that one, Green Bay's winning so I've got that point. Unless that chances, I've got 2 points to your 1. I was already up 2-1 before that.

 

So it's 4-2. Unless Indy or Green Bay loses, then it'll become 3-3, then we wait for Dal vs. NE. Or if both lose than I've lost. Otherwise, I'm winning with the current games pending to be finalized.

 

Pray for something to happen.

OK, I have to get something off my chest that's been building for a while now since it seems two people this week didn't bother to submit picks.

 

What is so freaking hard about taking 20 seconds out of a week and naming a dozen or so teams off the top of your head? I know many of us have busy schedules, but Jesus this isn't like raising a kid, going to school or having a full-time job.

 

I wanted to do this kind of contest because I thought it would be interesting to see how each of us would fare over a 16-game season, but I see this kind of "commitment" seems to be hard for some people.

 

It's just so lame to have to use my picks for an additional team or two every week, and I don't think it's fair to the people that have been doing this week in and week out. Ironically, the most loyal participants in this contest have some of the worst records. Heck, even a BANNED POSTER has been able to e-mail me every week with his picks (tiebreaker scores are another story).

 

OK, I'm over my period.

 

Come on Bengal pickers, you deserve your day in the sun...
