Mecha Mummy Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 Chris Nowinski has been medically cleared to return to the ring, after suffering a serious concussion several months ago. Nowinski, a good talker and charasmatic heel, will head to OVW for several weeks to brush up on his ring skills and also while the RAW creative team come up with something for him. - pwbts.com Hope this hasn't already been posted...
ChrisMWaters Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 Yay! Nowinski for World Champion! ...not yet, but in the future.
1234-5678 Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 You guys stay here.........I'll go get the best champagne I can find! On another note, who gives a rats ass.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 Found this at 411: Christopher Nowinski has been cleared for training camp. He has been out for five months with post concussion syndrome. Nowinski's brain chemistry has changed so much due to the concussion that he has had problems with sleepwalking. Once he jumped into a wall and fell six feet. Other times he has woken up places and had no idea how he got there. If the guy's brain chemistry is all jacked up and he's still having problems, why are they letting him come back? Every time the guys head hits the mat its just going to add to it.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 Other times he has woken up places and had no idea how he got there. the WWE perhaps?
RavishingRickRudo Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 He... sleepwalks??? Oh boy.
Guest StevieNightHeat Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 Hopefully when Nowinski returns he will get a bigger push than Orton.
razazteca Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 Can't wait for the exciting match up of Nowinski vs Orton for the IC title.
Slingshot Suplex Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 Three Words: Lost In Cleveland
nl5xsk1 Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 Count me as one of the ones that's psyched that he's coming back ... he's like Dreamer or Richards, even though they're given something that's absolute shit to do, they make it entertaining. Hopefully his brain isn't so scrambled that he's risking anything by coming back, and hopefully the writers come up with something worthwhile for him to do.
Damaramu Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 Alright......Harvard is back! I feel sorry for him because he was absolutely brutalized as a new guy. It seemed everyone took liberties with the poor guy. He was always getting bruised up by Tommy Dreamer, Bradshaw, and the Dudleyz. I don't know if everyone resented him for the way he came in or thought he was a jerk because of tough enough but I think he was unfairly "hazed". So I'm glad he's able to make it back...and if he's beaten on again.....then I can't do anything about it...I'll just sit here and complain.
razazteca Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 They are working the net so Nowinski's new gimmick will be over as the studdering sleepwalking comic.
Slayer Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 He... sleepwalks??? Oh boy. I smell angle He'll sleepwalk to the ring and cost wrestlers matches, except he won't remember that he did anything Sheer genius
Guest StevieNightHeat Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 So are WWE just going to forget that Nowinski was in Theodore Long's stable?
King Cucaracha Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 I hope he doesn't come back... ...not because he's 'a Tough Enough guy', but because if he's really that messed up, he should stay the hell away from the ring. It's not worth messing your life up for, and he'll only get re-injured quickly anyway.
Guest Coffey Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 He's the best when out of the ring. On camera, but out of the ring. He's got that "old school" heel flavor.
RavishingRickRudo Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 It's pretty obvious what they're going to do. For about 3 or 4 weeks (on heat), have random people get beat up. Tommy Dreamer, Lance Storm, Johnny Ace, Goldust, Spike Dudley, etc... have them all turn to Stevie for assistance (cause it's Stevie Night Heat). In the meantime, have Nowinski show up and ring announce or play time keeper or something. He's happy to be back, his injury has changed him, he no longer believes that Harvard is the be-all, end-all. Then, finally, one of the victims gets a good look at the attackers sweater, and it has an "H" on it. This leads Stevie to conclude that it's Nowinski. He confronts Christopher and Christopher denies it immediately. Stevie then says he is watching Nowinski and the next time it happens, he's going to get fired from SNH. Sure enough, in a sting, they catch Nowinski red-handed - but they soon realize that it's not Christopher Nowinski, it's CHRIS HARVARD - his split personality. They then find out that Christopher "changes" into Chris after he falls asleep; that he's not consciously doing all these bad acts, but rather, is sleepwalking. They question Harvard and ask him why is he attacking everyone and Chris says it's because he's sick of all the uneducated scum in the lockerroom and that he's "purifying" the WWE so that his 'master' can finally return. It is revealed through conversations with Christopher that it's not part of his natural sleep cycle, that there is someone trying to put him to sleep. They call this person "The DreamMaster" and believe that it's the same person who wants to "purify" the WWE for his return. They then interrogate Harvard to find out who his master is, and he says "who else? It's the leader of any university...", he also says that his master will be showing up NEXT WEEK. On that show, Stevie is in the middle of the ring with all the other wrestlers who were jumped by Harvard. Harvard is also in the ring going nuts because his master is finally coming. The show closes when the lights go out - and when they come back on there is a chalkboard that has "Not Yet" written on it with the initials "D.D." written under. The next week Christopher Nowinski comes to the ring and says that he's sick and tired of being used, that he wants to know the truth and that he's calling out D.D. Finally, music plays and it's revealed to be... DEAN DOUGLAS! Of course, everyone knows that Dean Douglas is really Shane Douglas, and Shane explains that in order to manipulate Chris Harvard he had to become someone that Chris would follow. He used Chris to take out all the people from his past, to help clear his way so he can take over Stevie Night Heat and make it the Franchise Hour. This leads to a small feud with Nowinski, before Nowinski learns that Chris Harvard was never really a split-personality, but that Chris Harvard was the true him. So he alligns with Shane Douglas to take on Stevie for the rights to own Heat.
razazteca Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 Douglas, Stevie, Nowinski would be the greatest midcard stable of all time. They could feud with Goldust, Storm, Val Venis, Dreamer. Of course Val Venis and Shane Douglas would fight over porn stars. Douglas could even shoot on his time in XPW about how that was hardcore and Val could not last one scene with the peeps from Cali.
DCMaximo Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 So are WWE just going to forget that Nowinski was in Theodore Long's stable? JAMIE NOBLE: Of course not, the WWE would never forget any storyline or angle, isn't that right Cousin Nunzio? NUNZIO: Shaddupya face!!
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 Nowinski, a good talker and charasmatic heel, Is this the same Nowinski I know?

Guest Besus Posted November 20, 2003 Report Posted November 20, 2003 Liger I care and I see many more do too.Im a Fan of his Character and He has Excellent mic skills.
The Tino Standard Posted November 20, 2003 Report Posted November 20, 2003 Former Indians pitcher Brian Anderson has had the same problem with the sleepwalking and waking up not knowing where he is... The funniest instance was the time he somehow locked himself out of his hotel room wearing nothing but a towel.
JustJoe2k5 Posted November 20, 2003 Report Posted November 20, 2003 I don't see what Chris Nowinski did to get this much fan support. He is mediocre in the ring, and he is nothing special on the microphone.
Guest Choken One Posted November 20, 2003 Report Posted November 20, 2003 Former Indians pitcher Brian Anderson has had the same problem with the sleepwalking and waking up not knowing where he is... The funniest instance was the time he somehow locked himself out of his hotel room wearing nothing but a towel. Why was he sleeping in a towel? Anyways, keep him out of the ring...He can cut a promo..Let him be a Manager or commentator.
The Czech Republic Posted November 20, 2003 Report Posted November 20, 2003 stuff I give it a 0.7 Fertig. The "DreamMaster" and the return of Dead Douglas is enticing. All I could come up with was he thinks he's Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks, or he's the same character as before, he just walks with a diamond-tipped cane, not unlike a pimp.
