Guest The Rising Star Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 I can't get the matches, so can someone tell me why this team is so bad now?
kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 The other team scores more points than Orlando...
The Czech Republic Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 You know what would've made this thread gold? If The Rising Star asked why the Magic were in the midst of such a bad inaugural season right now.
razazteca Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 Its a Mickey Mouse team with bad management. But mostly it is because Grant Hill will not retire and has spread the injury bug to some important utiltity players.
The Czech Republic Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 Its a Mickey Mouse team with bad management. Just wondering, does Disney own the Orlando Magic as well as the Mighty Ducks and (until recently) the Angels?
Chuck Woolery Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 I believe Disney only owned the teams based out of Anaheim. I could be wrong, though.
Guest Gatornibs Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 Grant Hill's not playing The team traded away Mike Miller, who is all-around better than Drew Gooden. TMac can't do everything, and team chemistry fell apart once Miller went away, who was Tmac's best friend. Coaching sucks. Front Office is HORRIBLE
LooseCannon25 Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 2 Words........ Grant Hill.............the guy NEVER plays and has never had an injury free season, but regardless ORlando has to pay him his full salary every year despite him never doing shit to help anyone. The guy needs to get it through his fuckin head and retire already.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 They got Gooden and Giricek for Miller, I'd say them combined is better than Miller who is a liability with the back injuries and god knows what else. Giricek plays the exact same style and they went on a pretty good tear after the deal and through the playoffs before TMac decided they were in the 2nd round despite being up only 3-1 over the Pistons. They have no chemistry, but IMO, one of their biggest problems is Tracy's tendency too sit and pout and whine about zone defenses and what not instead of doing something on the court about it. He's a great individual player but he doesn't make anyone else better basically.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 Even though he's on my fantasy team (a decent balance of points and rebounds), Juwan Howard is a BUM.
Guest Redhawk Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 How can you blame Grant Hill? It's not like anyone in Orlando was expecting him to play this year. He's barely played for them in the 3-4 years since they signed him, yet every year they were getting to the playoffs, so how can it all of a sudden be his fault that they suck this year? I think the problem is they lost a few games, then T-Mac started whining and very likely not trying as hard, and it has just snowballed from there. They've also had some key injuries. Even given Hill's contract, they could put together a better roster than what they have, but their front office isn't all that smart.
razazteca Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 Pat Garrity is injuried and could be out for the whole season. Grant Hill has hurt the team by screwing up the team's payroll and he has played how many games in the past 3 years? Also the Magic lost Ben Wallace in the Grant Hill trade!
kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 With as much as Hill has been injured since coming to Orlando, I really don't consider him a reason as to what's wrong with this team...
alfdogg Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 It's not just the Magic in that division. Here's a fun fact: Philadelphia, with an 8-9 record, is currently LEADING the Atlantic Division.
The Czech Republic Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 Another fun fact is that Utah is 9-6 without Stockton and Malone, and they were projected to be dead last this year.
A Happy Medium Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 The Jazz are owning because of a decent little point guard named Carlos and then top it off with a new fantasy God in Andrei Kiril-fucking-enko, 17-7-2-2. Is it too early to put a vairation of "fuck" in his long last name?
kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 30, 2003 Report Posted November 30, 2003 It's not just the Magic in that division. Here's a fun fact: Philadelphia, with an 8-9 record, is currently LEADING the Atlantic Division. Holy crap. The Magic are 1-15, but only SIX games back from the 76ers...

Guest The Rising Star Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 I didn't get any answers, Czech.
Spicy McHaggis Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 I'm just glad I don't have hear about T-Mac being just as good as Kobe.
Bruiser Chong Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 Anyone have flashbacks after reading the first post, back to the Simpsons episode where Apu tries to act American and asks if Homer wants to watch the "baseball match."?
Ripper Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 I'm just glad I don't have hear about T-Mac being just as good as Kobe. He's still just as good or better. There. Just to crush your happiness.

Ripper Posted December 12, 2003 Report Posted December 12, 2003 I don't see how them having basically the same year (like they are doing right now...except Tmac averages more points and Kobe shoots a slightly better percentage) is suppose to sway peoples opinions one way or the other. Hell, If I were the Lakers I would Trade Kobe "Might be in prison, and even if I don't will probably go to another team in a another city that is ripe with women for me to rape....allegedly" Bryant for T-mac. If Orlando would take the deal(and they probably would).
