The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2003 There have been some very bad matches in professional wrestling history, some very, very bad. But I want you to pick one. Just ONE of the horrible matches you've experienced, no more than one, and tell me in several sentences what made the match so horrible. Obviously, some matches in the past have been short to the point where it's not much of a match at all (Rock vs. Bossman, Diesel vs. Backlund), but this is for a match approx. 6-10 mins or more, that just scarred you for life. I'll reply with mine when I can think of the perfect candidate.
Jingus 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2003 Well, most of my choices that I've seen have been independent shows featuring guys you've never heard of, so it'd be hard to pick one. Oh no, wait, Hogan vs. Warrior 2 from Halloween Havoc '98. Nevermind, that was easy.
NYU 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2003 Taker/Kane vs. Kronik at Unforgiven 2001. So bad that Taker supposedly threw a tantrum after the match, and one of the Kronik members (forget which one) wound up being fired almost immediately.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2003 Just about any scaffold match I've ever seen Ten minutes of guys walking on eggshells on a 15 foot-high platform, with practically no offense between wrestlers? Nothing good can come from this

CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2003 Undertaker/HHH at last year's King of the Ring. There was punching. And clotheslines. And some punching. And stalling. And restholds. Hey, did I mention the punching? And it went for TWENTY-FIVE FUCKING MINUTES.
Guest Report post Posted December 16, 2003 It's been said enough but UT/Yoko RR 94 had to have been the stupidest match I've ever seen. Talk about overkill....

Guest JumpinJackFlash Report post Posted December 16, 2003 Harlem Heat vs. Nasty Boys Texas Tornado Rules Uncensored 95 Trainwreck They slipped so much in that match. I think they ended the match before thy were supposed to, because of the clusterfuck that was created. Actually, this match is not the worst, since its so funny. The worst could be the King of the Road match on that same PPV. It featured Dustin Rhodes against...? I fogot! In fact, Uncensored 95 is the worst PPV ever! DCMaximo 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2003 A few months back I downloaded a British All-Star show between a guy called Majik (sp?) and some other guy. It was simply that dreadful. Imagine seeing Majik live in a handicap match teaming with a fat guy against a REALLY fat guy. I've experienced that hell. Worst match- El Gigante vs One Man Gang from Great American Bash 1991. A match so bad that the OMG carried it. The worst match of a terrible PPV

Hey, did I mention the punching? And it went for TWENTY-FIVE FUCKING MINUTES. dude, that's like ALL of 'Taker's matches now. So much so that to cover it and make it almost into a 'gimmick', Tazz always goes on about Taker's 'brutal' punches... You remember Cena/Taker from a ppv earlier this year? It was ALL punches and stomps form him and Cena. IUt was held together (barely) because of Cena's ability to keep the story of hte injured Deadman alive, but that still royally sucked... Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted December 17, 2003 Booker T vs. Buff Bagwell- Raw, July 2001 I don't agree with this because if memory serves me right there was no real noticable difference in quality between this and any of the other matches that night. This just gets picked on because it was a big match. I've seen a million worse WWE matches than the Booker T vs Bagwell bout.

SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2003 Taker/Kane vs. Kronik at Unforgiven 2001. So bad that Taker supposedly threw a tantrum after the match, and one of the Kronik members (forget which one) wound up being fired almost immediately. ditto Not having seen the match, I can't agree. However, it wouldn't surprise me if it was the suckies suckfest that ever sucked. Until then, my pick is Stephanie McMahon vs Vince McMahon at this year's No Mercy event. It was a terrible match in itself, long and boring, and had the most obnoxious buildup for it that I've ever seen in any feud. The fact that the hype for No Mercy surrounded this match and had the worst PPV buyrate in years is a huge indication to just how much this match hurt the WWE. Scott Keiths review gave it I tink **1/2, so thats far from worst match ever. But Wrestlemania X sucked ass, maybe a DUD, but I wouldn't say it was the worst ever. Try watching HHH/Rock 30 Minute RLD from Fully Loaded 98. Not that bad, but so fucking boring with like 10 run ins.

So sad the first Buried Alive match was pretty awesome (UT/Mankind) but the one with Austin sucked. Maybe Austins character didn't fit well with a Buried Alive Match. Toshiaki Koala 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2003 Pat Patterson vs. Gerald Brisco, Evening Gown Match. An utter insult to anyone who has wrestled, watched wrestling, or breathed air.
