slabinskia Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 There are a bunch of dvds with no extras that deserve a special edition release.what would you like to see be made into a se ?some I would like are casino goodfellas (rumored forever) top gun (heard one will be out in febuary) rain man(heard one will be out in febuary) true lies breakfast club full metal jacket
Toshiaki Koala Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Blade Runner Heat Face/Off Schindler's List Duck Soup The Untouchables The Night of the Hunter Is there an L.A. Confidential SE? I rented the DVD but I can't remember if it had any special features.
notJames Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 I want The Critic to have commentary by Jon Lovitz. Otherwise, it's useless. All the John Hughes teen movies should have SEs with commentary by Hughes and/or the stars. And for cryin' out loud, tell those idiots at King of the Hill to stop with the commentaries "in character". I don't give a shit about what Peggy Hill has to say, but I'd love to hear what Kathy Najimy does.
Betty Houle Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Schindler's List This has been announced for early 2004.
Betty Houle Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Doesn't a thread like this get started every 2 months?
NoCalMike Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Goodfellas Kill Bill vol 1(and 2 of course) Natural Born Killers Freeway The Big Lewbowski Dawn of the dead(3-disc edition has been rumored foooooorever)
Nevermortal Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 No Holds Barred Pretty much every Kubrick movie The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Trilogy Bram Stoker's Dracula
Youth N Asia Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Dawn of the Dead is Spring 2004, about the same time the remake comes out. Full Metal Jacket Clerks The Matrix (I don't count that extra one they did later) Young Guns 2 Cool Hand Luke The Green Mile
Yuna_Firerose Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 (edited) Spy Kids...the first one, aka, the good one. The best version of the series and it has little to NO extras? Total suckage. Edited December 24, 2003 by Yuna_Firerose
The Ghost of bps21 Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Searching For Bobby Fisher Monster Squad Cobb Ed Wood (JUST RELEASE IT ALREADY!!!!!!!)
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Spy Kids...the first one, ie, the good one. The best version of the series and it has little to NO extras? Total suckage. Doesn't "i.e." mean "for example"? I think you want "aka" there. Oh and the first two Spy Kids movies aren't all that divergant in quality, in fact, I'd rate the second over the first in a heartbeat.

Where would you rank the third one? And the second one was just so goddamned boring! Not because of the lack of Floop; I had known he wasn't in it that much when I started watching the movie. The 'rival' kids were just annoying, and they went waaaaaay beyond the realm of believability. Sure, the first had it's moments, especially with all the gadgets and VR, but the second is just...ugh.
Guest Smues Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Umm what's wrong with the original Matrox dvd? That thing was packed and I don't think I've ever heard anyone before complain about it lacking features. Hell that used to be the gold standard of how to do a dvd right.

The third is by far the worst. The second is better because they didn't care about whether it was realistic or not and just put a lot of adventure and cool effects into it. As well as having Ricardo Monteban, especially in a flying wheelchair. Ricardo > All 3 Spy Kids movies
Anakin Flair Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 LA Confidential has limited extras, nothing to special. You could count Matrix: Revisited as the 2nd disk w/ the bonus features. I know the Kubrick movies are on DVD, but are they special editions? And didn't they release special editions of Blade Runner several times?

Adventure and cool effects are fun, but there has to be some semblence of realism there. ...No comments on the Depp icons? *pout*
razazteca Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Hong Kong Legends edition of the Bruce Lee's Game of Death I want the commentary and the missing footage that was seen in the AMC special.
Corey_Lazarus Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Ginger Snaps I hear the Canadian DVD has commentary and stuff, but the American DVD is barebones. An independent horror film of this high caliber deserves the special edition treatment, dammit! Especially since the two sequels are coming out soon.
