Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2003 How weak is this album, only 3 songs from the Use Your Illusion albums??? Aren't there at least 30 songs to choose from between the two? I mean where is Dust N' Bones, Locomotive, You Could Be Mine, Pretty Tied Up, Perfect Crime, Yesterday etc...weak
jimmy no nose 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2003 I don't really understand their selection of bands on the disc, there are plenty of bigger, somewhat known bands that I know would be willing to play on there. I like Dillenger Escape Plan and I've heard a couple other bands on there, but I'm not really interested.
The Metal Maniac 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2003 Well, sure, bigger more popular bands could play on it - if it was designed to be an album with bigger, more popular bands on it. Obviously, it isn't.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2003 Just so you all know, UNEARTH IS FUCKING AWESOME. MASS METAL, MOTHERFUCKERS.
Sonic Reducer 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2003 Hmmm. I'm indifferent until I hear it. But then again, I really don't care for GNR.
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2003 It's another generic compilation of hardcore bands...but I will pick it up. Unearth, God Forbid, and DEP are amazing.
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2003 I had one of these a few years back, called "Appetite For Reconstruction." It was so God awful, that I won't even go near this one, although I would like to hear someone else's interpretation of "Estranged."
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted December 26, 2003 Dillinger Escape Plan - "My Michelle" This will be the best song on the cd. Unearth is also tough as fuck, and the best metal band of the recent Mass material not named Lamb of God, in my opinion. The thing I don't get about this, is that people that really like GNR probably don't usually like ugly hardcore or scathing grind stuff very much, and the people that get into the edgier bands on the disc probably aren't big over the top hard rock GNR fans. It's a weird idea for a cd that I'll call questionable. I'm gradually becoming a DEP completist, though, so I might burn this.

Too bad Lamb Of God is from NYC, eh? God Forbid is the Mass metal band, I do believe. I say this with a memory of somebody saying (I believe it was actually Brian Fair during the Shadows Fall set) that three of the four bands on the Worcester card for the Headbanger's Ball tour were from Massachusetts. But hey, either way, the Northeast has been cranking out greatness in metal and wrestling a lot recently.

It was so God awful, that I won't even go near this one, although I would like to hear someone else's interpretation of "Estranged." Reconstruction was put out by Cleopatra Records and all they do is put out lame industrial tribute CDs. I have it to. I do like the KMFDM "My Michelle"
