Guest Mosaicv2 Report post Posted January 12, 2004 Whenever I hear 'Walk" by Pantera, I think of good 'ol Robbie. the best part: "RE...SPECT...ROB... WAT DID YOU SAY?! "RE...SPECT...ROB... ARE YOU TALKIN ME?!"
DCMaximo 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2004 I loved Simon Diamond's "Simon Says" theme, that was pretty cool. Who the hell was that by? I also loved Sting using Metallica for his WCW theme, that always sounded awesome.

Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2004 the best part: "RE...SPECT...ROB... WAT DID YOU SAY?! "RE...SPECT...ROB... ARE YOU TALKIN ME?!" Too bad you got the lyrics wrong, eh? It's "RE...SPECT...WALK", hence the song title. Hey, nobody ever said Pantera wrote GOOD lyrics... And also of note, Rob used an ECW mix of Rhode Island hard rock band Kilgore's cover of it that appeared on the ECW Extreme Music album from mid/late 1998 until ECW's closing in early 2001. genius, thou shalt not insult Fear Factory! Jerry Lynn's ECW theme was "Scapegoat" by Fear Factory, and despite ECW's awful production values (ie. not being able to hear a damn thing in the song), the song is GREAT for entrance music. Man, all this talking about ECW's music makes me wanna pop in Extreme Music and Anarchy Rocks (yes, I bought that TERRIBLE second album, which features even more awful covers of great tunes). You know, I want to know what song was used by The Unholy Alliance (Mikey Whipwreck, Yoshihiro Tajiri, and the Sinister Minister). It's not One Minute Silence's "Holy Man," as I've Buy Now...Saved Later (the album it's from) since it was released, and the two themes sound nothing alike. I'd also like to know what Steve Corino's theme was.
DMann2003 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2004 Remmember when WWF used "Highway to Hell" as the theme for SummerSlam 98 and all anyone could talk about was Spike Dudley. ECW could've released a AC/DC comp, half their roster used their songs. Oh and I can never hear "Come Out and Play" without thinking of Raven.

The Metal Maniac 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2004 I thought that they somehow got around copyrights by having the songs they played in-house be covers. Obviously, this wasn't always the case, but I do think at least a few of the songs they used on the shows were covers. I'd also like to ask: Was Mike Awesome the only guy to have a theme that was written for him? I think he used "The Zoo" for a bit, but I know he also had a song after that which had lyrics about him. Like: Rising up from a land Armageddon He's a modern-day gladiator Six-foot-six, angry and mean A living, breathing, war machine Made his name in the rising sun With tons of battles that he won Time and time his hand was raised As all his victims felt his rage Awesome's what they say All his victims feel the pain Dropped with an Awesome Bomb You go down and you never come up Ice-cold blood with a heart of fire His victim's doom his one desire Challenge him, he'll send you home With a crimson mask and broken bones He's a force that can't be stopped Awesome is rising to the top Puts his body on the line Now it's time for him to shine Or something to that effect. It's been a while since I heard it, but...man, I just realized how sad that makes me look. Well, fuck you, Mike Awesome used to be my favourite wrestler.... Anyway, did anyone else in ECW have songs made for them?

It was great, and I too thought that Mike Awesome was the freaking shit.
Zetterberg is God 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2004 The one wrestlers music in ECW I did not like was Jerry Lynn's, it sounded like a bunch of loud noise and grunts, not music. The main reason why Jerry Lynn had that theme is becauss he is really into heavy/death metal music and that Fear Factory song certainly fits those categories. UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2004 I've got Steve Corino's theme that Slash produced. The one that sounds like "Come With Me", that he used in 2000. You can e-mail me if you really want it and I'll send it. [email protected] Didn't Slash release a 4-track CD with a bunch of rare ECW themes in 2000? Mike Awesome's "AWESOMEBOMB" Eliminator's production theme "Total Elimination" The new ECW TNN theme and one other... I have those 3, too. "Awesomebomb" is so great. But "Come Out and Play" remains my all-time favorite. Kimona and Beulah laying around like a slut...Raven sits in the corner...Meanie & Stevie being idiots...those were the days.
