Masked Man of Mystery 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2004 Ayane's High Kick(technically an OAV, not a movie, but then most people don't know that an OAV is Original Aniamted Video or something of that nature and I just adore this little anime, even if it didnt get finished)
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted March 20, 2004 Umm... I don't think Logan's Run was ever considered bad. Yeah - I found Logan's Run to be an excellent, innovative piece of film-making.

Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted March 20, 2004 I like Pauly Shore for some reason, so... - Bio-Dome - In The Army Now - Son-In-Law I shall not list Encino Man because it's a classic. - Pootie Tang - Airborne - Heavyweights - Wild Wild West (Sssssshhhhhhhh, don't tell anybody) - Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins (You know you like it) Drumline(Orlando what's his name) Drumline was a very good movie. Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted March 20, 2004 I fucking love Pootie Tang. "...Damn, she's fine. Why didn't Pootie get with that? Because she's crazy. Look at her lappin' milk out of a bowl.." Everything that happens after Missy Elliot leaves the screen is one of my favorite scenes ever.
Cheex Incarnate 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2004 I don't think Logan's Run was bad, just a comment on the overall camp and cheesiness of some of it (which some peolpe mistake for bad). Let it be known that Cheex loves Logan's Run (Michael York owns). -Cheex

Guest Skironox Report post Posted March 21, 2004 Scooby Doo was so craptastic it changed my life forever. All the stoner references while portraying itself as a kiddie movie. All the fart jokes. Nevermind the fact it had the most incomprehensible plot I ever witnessed, and the acting was quite horrible, and most everything else was quite cheesy. I loved it. Maybe being hammered while watching it lent it a glow of light it doesn't really have...

Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2004 Best of the Best is another favorite of mine. However, part 2 is more of a "so bad it's good movie", with the underground casino fighting, Wayne Newton as the heel promoter, and the fact that Asian Tommy has family on an Indian reservation. I just taped part 3 off HBO but haven't watched it yet. All I know is it has Tommy, Gina Gershon, and a plot about white supremacists ruining a town. I'm a sucker for martial arts movies. So many of 'em fall into this category, I could be here all day.

I liked the first one too (I mentioned it on page 1), but I didn't like the sequels that much. I agree with you on Part 2. It's bad, but in a good way. Part 3 and Part 4 were bad, but not in a good way. Other cheesy martial arts movies that I liked: Shootfighter (with William Zabka and Bolo Yeung) Champions (with Ken Shamrock and Danny Trejo)
Cran Da Maniac 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 Big Man on Campus, about a hunchback that goes to Notre Dame. If I can find this movie again I'd so watch it again Monster Patrol-- Kids fighting monsters.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 Big Man on Campus, about a hunchback that goes to Notre Dame. If I can find this movie again I'd so watch it again Monster Patrol-- Kids fighting monsters. You mean Monster Squad, from '87? Where Frankenstein was a babyface? Another awesome movie, I WISH I had this. BOTB 1 and 2 ruled, the jury is out so far because I haven't seen 3 or 4 yet. Shootfighter was awesome. I know there is a sequel where a cop forces them to fight again as part of his vengeance on someone, or something like that, but I haven't seen it either. So many of 'em fall into this category, I could be here all day. Best Of The Best wasn't a bad movie, anyhow. Part 2, I actually shelled out $8.75 and ran out to the theatre to see it... bad move, sucked when they killed Travis off. "BRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKUUUUUUUS." Part 3 was on HBO a while back but I didn't pay much attention. I did notice that it had Gina Gershon and Christopher McDonald in it. Part 4 - STAY AWAY AT ALL COST. The plot has something to do with Russian Gangsters, Tommy's daughter, and a disk. Zack, you run movie nights ? Too bad I don't live in RI, I'd attend for sure. Don't think I forgot that you and I are the huge Drive marks around here, NBT. To the mentions of the Maniac Cop series and Jack Frost, I have Maniac Cop 3 on DVD, and am looking for 1 and 2. I think part 1 can only be gotten as an import though. Jack Frost, I have both the first and its sequel. If you thought part 1 was bad, watch part 2, where he manages to get on a tropical resort and gains the ability to fire evil snowball babies from his mouth. The plot to Best of the Best 4 sounds exactly like Bloodfist 4 with Don Wilson. Those are some more of my favorite bad movies (but like I said, I'm a martial arts buff). As for running movie nights, yep, I do it once or twice a week at my hangout, a coffee shop on the main strip in my town. Been hanging out there since it opened in '96 or so, and the new owner was a friend of the previous owner, so knew me as a regular. He did some remodeling, put in a widescreen TV and some leather couches, and has me bring in one of my spare DVD players and showcase whatever I'd like, as long as it's not porn. Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted March 23, 2004 Part 4 - STAY AWAY AT ALL COST. The plot has something to do with Russian Gangsters, Tommy's daughter, and a disk. From what I remember, the disc contained something that would allow the Russians to make counterfeit bills. I also remember that Tommy was wanted for killing a crooked cop, and Ernie Hudson played the detective who was looking for Tommy. To the mentions of the Maniac Cop series and Jack Frost, I have Maniac Cop 3 on DVD, and am looking for 1 and 2. I think part 1 can only be gotten as an import though. I think there was a Region 1 DVD release of the first Maniac Cop, but it's out of print. If you're interested, Amazon.com has it listed.
