Favorite video package?

As I've said before Shawn-HHH from Summerslam 2002 is perhaps the best one they've ever done.

As cheesy as it was I also liked the Taker-Vince one from this past Survivor Series.

The ones that come to mind immediatly:

Lesnar/Angle/Show for Vengeance 03

Steiner/Triple H for RR 03 (great package that deserved a better match).

That's funny you mention the Summerslam one, just because right when I got the DVD I was watching it and my girlfriend (who doesn't watch much wrestling) looked up from her book and said "Geez, can they can any more melodramatic?"

And then I was like "It's wrestling, bitch! Whaddya expect!"

Okay, I didn't really said that...I just nodded and went back to watching.

As far as my favorites? The cheesy/sports entertainment side of me always loved the ones before the Taker/HBK casket match and the Taker/Kane match at WM14.

I also LOVE the won they did for Bret/Austin at WM13.

HHH vs Foley, Hell in the Cell

"You may say, this is no dream, this is a nightmare - maybe. But this is MY nightmare, and I decide when I wake up!"

Hell yeah...good call.

1.) Austin / Undertaker from SS 98 - The Highway To Hell build-up music video, still one of the best damn video packages the WWE ever made.

2.) Hart / Michaels from WM XII - I loved the look on both guy's lives and how much they HAD to win the match.

3.) Austin / Rock from WXVII - Not only just the video itself, but when they had their pre-fight interview with both of them next to each other. Austin saying he had to have that belt back with Rock saying he would give Austin everything he had in him (the Rock).

4.) Austin / HHH from NWO 2001 - The video was awesome. Also considering how long the feud was going during that time.

5.) Undertaker / Lesnar from Unforgiven - I loved the look back on Taker's career and then the look back on Lesnar's growing up in particular. Along with "Adrenaline" used, it was perfect.

What was the song title? Lonely Road of Faith, or was that just the most often said line.

My two favorites:

Bret/Taker from SS97. "If life was fair...".

Sting/Hogan. Sting walking through glass pics of Hogan while the screen shows the "ruin of an empire".

Also Austin/Rock, Austin/Dude Love at OTE and HBK/HHH from Slam 02.

Those are great picks. I LOVE the SS97 promo too.

And the OTE98 one has the great Austin/Vince feud recap.

"An apology...WHICH I DIDN'T MEAN, by the way."

I actually liked the one they used for Canadian Stampede 97 when they talk about how the Heroes become the hated. The Konnan/Disco Inferno video package from Spring Stampede 99 Is good in a comedy sense.

'Nuff said.

Speaking of Michaels, I can't forget the WM XII hype videos for Bret/HBK with their own seperate training videos.

how about the wwf desire promos from late 01 set to creeds my sacrifice. btw the undertaker desire video set to adrenaline is really cool (it can be found on the unforgiven 02 dvd0 Then again I am a mark for that ppv cuz I was there (with floor seats in about the 12th row-awesome)

as for a ppv opener, I liked x7s (though it was extremely overdramatic) I also liked wm 13s (basically announcing the era of attitude-"it's supposed to be a magical night, a time to rejoice--but tonight....none of these men are smiling) wm14 (the same people that buck tradition are destined to become a part of it-) wm 15 with fred blassie's voice over

omg, I just remembered the wwf legends attitude promos, they gave me chills.

judgment day 2000's "in a hour" opening package was very well done too.

too many to post here, I'll let you other guys fill in some more.

Michaels and Bret for Survivor Series 97 is the first that comes to mind. That one had big match feel all over it.

Rock/Austin from X-7.

The Elimination Chambre hype video from SS02 (though I'm not sure whether which I like more, the video or the song).

That Undertaker music video they made in the summer of 96...with the cross in front of the full moon and everything, and starts out with "The spirit of the Undertaker lives within the souls of all mankind..." I'm probably the ONLY person on the face of this earth who even remembers that, but DAMN that was a nice video.

Also, HBK's "Tell me a Lie" video and Foley's post No Way Out 2000 video both had me choked up.

Sting/Hogan Starrcade 97....what should have propelled WCW into bigger heights was the sign of fucked up things to come.

The "Lonely Road of Faith" WWF past to present one, the Austin Vs. Rock WWF WrestleMania X-7 and the Bret Hart "Look At Me Momma" by Tom Petty one from about 1993 kicked major ass!!!

Thanks.
