Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 re: Chavo's opponent - I don't believe he's faced (at least in the WWE, 1-on-1) -London -Shannon Moore -Akio -Sakoda I sure as hell hope it isn't a returning Jeff Hardy. I'd take any of the guys listed above over Jeff (even Sakoda). Sakoda isn't a cruiserweight. All it takes is one look at him to determine that. And I'm having a sinking feeling now that I remember that they're trying to bring Jeff back...
SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Call me crazy, but this show sounds better than the past few weeks. If the crowd is as into it as the reporter seems to think, than that alone will make it more enjoyable.
Guest BillyTheStud Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Luther is probably "Horshu", yet another hoss only hired for his looks
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Actually, apparently Horshu/Max Impact is also a really good mic worker, but still a mediocre wrestler.
thuganomics 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 (2) Chavo Guerrero beats Nunzio in a non title match (I think it was non title). As Nunzio waits for Chavo Undertaker's gong hits, and the ring lights dim, and mist fills the ring and then nothing. I went to the restroom on this one. Anyways Chavo says "where is the competition." He issued a challenge for next week on Smackdown for any cruiserweight in the world that he's never faced to fight him. I pray that this means Paul London like I hope it does, but I have the nagging feeling it will be good ol' Jeff Hardy. Either way, it will be nice to see Chavo actually enter a real feud... I'm thinking Jeff Hardy, but I'm hoping for the Grand Luchador. I like the Grand Luchador gimmick for London, since it is better than not having a one. Might be possible since London didn't even have a match at the tapings this week, perhaps hinting that the Grand Luchador might be a permanent character. Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 IIRC, Chavo wrestled Spike on either the 1st or 2nd SD after the "draft".

Heh. I knew I was right because that night, I was at a High School graduation party and everyone was in the living room of the house watching Velocity and these two drunk girls saw the Keibler/Stratus match and decided after the show ended to do their own Bra & Panties match. I took pictures of it and still have them. I'll tell you what, there's nothing funnier than looking at a picture of two girls rolling around the floor in their underwear with Mean Gene Okerlund on the TV in the background. JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 It could be Nova, Jeter, or maybe even Cappotelli, who beat Jamie Noble at a house show this weekend, I think.
Enigma 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Remember Luther Biggs, the star athlete discovery of Coach Buzz Stern? WCW 1999, baby. One time, I saw Glacier at an autograph signing in the local mall about a month after Vince bought WCW (and he was dressed in the gimmick) and I went up to him and said, "Hey! It's Coach Buzz Stern!" and he laughed and was surprised someone actually remembered that. He kept me around and we chatted for about an hour. He was such a nice guy.
