Guest glennsoe Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Chaotic Wrestling sent out the following announcement today. ... Chaotic Wrestling and the Chaotic Training Center (http://www.chaotictc.com) are pleased to announce that Chad Wicks (pka "Lifesaver" Billy Kryptonite) has signed a developmental contract with WWE. He will be reporting to OVW in mid-June. Chad started training at the Chaotic Training Center in 2001, and began his wrestling career in Massachusetts-based Chaotic Wrestling, where he held the Heavyweight Championship in 2003. In early 2004, Chad was given the great opportunity to train at the Inoki Dojo in California, and has since made a name for himself on the West Coast as well. Chad made his first trip to Japan recently for New Japan Pro Wrestling, competing in the Young Lions Cup as well as teaming with Jushin Thunder Liger. Chad also appeared on this past week's edition of WWE Sunday Night Heat in a tag match against La Resistance. Chad (as "Billy K") was listed at #500 in the 2003 PWI 500 * So can anyone say anything about this guy ?? Anyone seen him before ? What sort of moves does he have ?? Any idea of what he uses as finisher ? - Glenn -
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 I thought this was going to be about Norman Smiley.
Superstring Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Nope, he looks like Scotty 2 Hotty. Much better.
Guest TigerDriver91 Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Nope, he looks like Scotty 2 Hotty. Much better. Can he do the worm though?
Superstring Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 I hear he can do the Donkey, however it's been banned in 5 states under certain laws so good luck if you want to see it on TV.
AlaskanHero Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Does anyone ever feel like when new workers are signed, it's a lose-lose situation for smarks? Hosses usually suck and Cruiserweights are usually jobbers in the WWE. Just a thought.
Guest bort Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 I would think this guy is pretty good, he worked in the NJ dojo for a while and got a pretty big push in there young lions cup putting on some long matches.
JHawk Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Ugh. He wrestled on Heat last night and threw two of the worse dropkicks I've seen since The Renegade at Bash at the Beach 95.
tbondrage99 Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Ugh. He wrestled on Heat last night and threw two of the worse dropkicks I've seen since The Renegade at Bash at the Beach 95. Now THAT my friends is what you call high praise!
OldSchoolWrestling Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Ugh. He wrestled on Heat last night and threw two of the worse dropkicks I've seen since The Renegade at Bash at the Beach 95. Now THAT my friends is what you call high praise! Be careful. Renegade sucked so bad he committed suicide. Give the guy a chance to get a push and continue to suck before you bash him.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 UGH. That's who that is, as I recognized him as shitty jobber #2 from Heat last night. I have no clue why they want to keep signing guys that have obviously no future at all. God forbid if they sign guys on the Indy scene that can actually work.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Because he's built. Maybe it would be easier for them if they signed......uh......Super Dragon..... ..........and bought him some weights?
ChrisMWaters Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 I just wonder... If he's signed and becomes a regular wrestler...and appears on Heat again... Will Al Snow still give him the Babaganoush name?
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 You know.... He could get better with steroids. Edited to show WWE thought process.......
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 How can you guys say he doesn't know how to work when he was in one tag match against La Resistance on Heat? He got pushed in NJPW, so he has to have SOME talent.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Bob Sapp is the IWGP Champ in New Japan right now, so talent doesn't mean shit over there. And I don't ever recall this lguy outside of MAYBE a 3 or 4 man tag and even then I doubt I've ever seen his name in relation to NJPW so I doubt he was getting a push there. EDIT: Ah ok he was in the Young Lions Cup. ::shudders::

I actually like Puro and I wouldn't automatically say that if it comes from Japan it's good. for the record....I wouldn't ever say he was PUSHED by NJPW.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 And just to further my point; Jamal is going to be challenging for the Triple Crown Title here in a few weeks.
Jericho2000Mark Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 Ugh. He wrestled on Heat last night and threw two of the worse dropkicks I've seen since The Renegade at Bash at the Beach 95. It's a bad sign when he can't even properly hit one of the two moves he's allowed to use... BTW, what's the worst looking crossbody ever?
Lil' Bitch Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 Billy Kryptonite?!! What the fuck kinda name is that?
Mystery Eskimo Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 I have no idea why they picked this guy up. He doesn't even have a look, he screams jobber. But he'll probably be on TV before Paul London anyway.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 Billy Kryptonite?!! What the fuck kinda name is that? good job contributing...want a cookie? This guy's not someone I'd hire but there's nothing wrong with having some Jobbers around. Just because he's signed to a contract doesn't mean he'll get a super push..look at Paul London.
Mecha Mummy Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 How can you guys say he doesn't know how to work when he was in one tag match against La Resistance on Heat? He got pushed in NJPW, so he has to have SOME talent. While that's not neccesarily true, I don't think it's entirely fair to judge him on by Heat match.
2GOLD Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 Why hire jobbers when they have a whole roster of guys who don't even wrestle? You want jobbers? Use local talent from the town who can work some. This guy looks like Scotty 2 Hotty and Brian Christopher had a baby.
The C Man Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 This guy looks like Scotty 2 Hotty and Brian Christopher had a baby. So that's what happened to the infamous Too Cool marriage angle then. But looking at the first pic I definately see a bit of Bob Holly in there as well.
Guest bort Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 Im holding out hoping this guy is good, he wrestled alot of long matches in the lions cup and was pushed hard in it, he trained in the NJ dojo with some of the best indy workers in the world (joe, Ricky and Rocky, Puma) over all i think this guy could be decent
