News on the WWE Title Match at SummerSlam

From the LAW:

"Dave then says that there is a chance that Eddy may be defending his title against Mark Jindrak the next time SmackDown is on PPV, which is at SummerSlam, but none of them like that idea. Dave doesn't like having Teddy Long with Jindrak, and he would rather see Teddy with a main event player."

Oh My God, does this sound horrible or what? I think it's quite obvious that someone in WWE is purposely trying to sabotage Smackdown and Eddie's title reign beyond repair. I thought for sure the WWE Title match would be Eddie vs. RVD or Eddie vs. Angle, but this is just incredibly absurd and ludicrous.

So the less talented member of Jindrak/O'Haire not only stays on the roster, but gets a title shot? God, I knew there was plenty of reasons I hadn't watched Smackdown in months, and now here's another one.

Well, if they're continuing with the Luger push for Jindrak, it makes sense. Luger DID get a title shot at Summerslam '93.

OK, I got nothing. I like Jindrak, but there is no way in hell I want to see him let alone PAY to see him in a title match.

What's "The Law?" Are they at all credible?

Wow, some one was joking that "at least Bradshaw is better than some one like Jindrak."

WWE found some one to push that's even worse of a choice than Bradshaw. Terrific.

I can't wait for the "you beg WWE to push new stars, and now you're bitching? There's no pleasing you people!" crowd to come out again.

www.liveaudiowrestling.com = The LAW

Dave = Dave Meltzer.

And to all this please god say that Meltzer is wrong about this.

The WWE are evil geniuses. It's true. The Eddy/Jindrak match would be on Summerslam with both brands representing on the show. So, if you don't watch Summerslam because of this one possible match, then you miss Raw's goodness and whatever else may be on the undercard. They're making you watch Smackdown by hiding it in Raw's shadow!

However, it's not worth getting crazy over. It's not set in stone and until it is, you shouldn't be cursing out the WWE.

Personally, I think this is quite funny.

I didn't curse out the WWE. Yet.

OK...I just have to say this:

At least Jindrak's more talented than Mabel.

Mabel had some heat as a face.

I want to have Jindrak go pro-USA all of a sudden and then make a huge deal about bodyslamming Eddie leading up to the match.

I think this goes back to the Holly thing, experiment with different people, but Summerslam is the second biggest show of the year, it looks kinda silly for someone who can't even get a slot on PPV to just show up and get a match. Especially seeing most of the time with the gimmick he has been on Velocity.

What happened to the Big show? I thought he was supposed to be back by August if not sooner...

At least it keeps Angle out of the ring and out of the casket.

I have no real preference between Jindrak and Bradshaw. However Teddy Long is REALLY starting to grate. He was damn good working with Rodney Mack, Mark Henry, Jazz et al. He's not worth shit working with Jindrak because he tries far too hard and doesn't shut up... ever.

Jindrak is at least starting to get something down in the ring. The work's not great, but the little things are there - cockily setting someone up for the dropkick, checking in a mirror after someone's hit him in the face, the press-ups/ab crucnches/kip up he does after the dropkick... he at least has SOME ring presence now, which is more than can be said for Garrison Cade.

But....the Holly thing was a complete failure. The blowoff match at the Royal Rumble absolutely sucked, and we now see Holly - five months after this Main Event match - teaming up with Billy Gunn.

Now, the Bradshaw thing has been a complete and utter failure as well. One of the lowest PPV buyrates of all time.....and the Great American Bash is supposed to be better? He might not be having the worst matches of the night at this time, but really now.....I don't think crowd apathy is going to do absolutely anything to help out this company.

So now, after the Smackdown pushes of Hardcore Holly and Bradshaw have gone off horrifically......we're going to try to shove Mark Jindrak in a Pay Per View spot?

Look at the evidence.

There is absolutely no defending this kind of decision.

Unless......of course......it isn't true. Which I happen to believe.

well.. this beats the John Bradshaw Layfield v. Kevin Nash main event for WWW. :D

Not really.

This is quite a step down for Eddie Guerrero. Being put with a Velocity main eventer.

Actually wrestling (or trying to) is a step up for Nash.

Advantage: Nash v. John Layshaw Bradfield

I always thought they were angling to make the Raw title the #1 belt in the company over the Real WWE World Title and this would pretty much make it official, if the match happens.

Oh well maybe they can turn Jindrak into a mega over heel by then where it won't seem so out of whack for him to be wrestling for the Real World Title.

Yes that was sarcasm.
