Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted June 1, 2004 Here's the cover art for the DVD (or at least, the U.K cover):
edotherocket 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2004 That sounds like quite a nice little DVD there. Sold! ...not sure about the constipation face on the cover though.
Guest croweater Report post Posted June 1, 2004 meh, who cares what the cover looks like, the DVD will be AWESOME!!!
AlwaysPissedOff 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2004 Eh, the Jericho ladder match is on the Rumble 2001 DVD, so there's no need for it to be an extra(just like the Angle RR 2003 shouldn't be, either). Personally, I'd have slapped on either both the Austin matches or the Power Trip tag title match and Benoit/Malenko from Hog Wild 96(or that really good Guerrero match from RAW in 2001 when he turned on the Radicalz). Guest Choken One Report post Posted June 1, 2004 I can't believe this...A line up of some REALLY good matches...including the ultra rare Pillman match and more and you guys are STILL complaining about 2-5 matches not being on the list? Never statisfied are you.
pochorenella 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2004 Fricking AWESOME. Well done, WWE. Well done. Should be one of their best overall DVD releases ever. Still, I can't help thinking there's gonna be A LOT of pissed-off Benoit fans with complaints: "They didn't include [insert match from Japan]!!! Those idiots!! They're holding Benoit back!!"
AnonymousBroccoli 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2004 (edited) I could be crazy, but that seems like a lot of stuff for 2 DVDs. Edit: Maybe not. I thought I read there was a feature, à la Mysterio or The Stone Cold Truth. Edit again: Yeah. There's "Chapters", and then "Extras", which seems like a feature. WTF No TLC 3 or Smackdown matches? Maybe they are holding that back for the Jericholic dvd?
Fro 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2004 Big thumbs up... they hit most of the good stuff I'd like to see a tag match on there (something with Malenko from WCW or ECW) or a Smackdown Six or Benoit/Jericho match instead of v.s. Sid, but I really can't complain too much. Benoit has had too many awesome matches for a couple DVDs to hold them all. I am really happy they stuck the RR 2003 and WM XX mains on the DVD. cawthon777 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2004 The freaking Pillman Show match is on there! That alone should silence critics of the line up.
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted June 1, 2004 I'm going to go out on a limb on this and say this will be the best WWE DVD to date........
Guest Choken One Report post Posted June 1, 2004 The Sid Match is there for historic value...that takes precendence over "just another **** match". My only complaint is the WMXX Match being on there...yes it's equally historic but we all know it happened but then again it's a CAREER retrospective...we should expect it. but it has the Owen Tribute Match AND the Pillman match...that MORE then makes up for it. This is the American version as well right? i know they will have a different cover but same content right?
DCMaximo 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2004 Colour me impressed. Just ordered my copy and I don't think I'll spend a better £18 all year. Wonder if they'll address the fact that Black Tiger is Eddie Guerrero. A Benoit/Malenko commentary team sounds, um, interesting.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted June 1, 2004 Yeah i can't wait for the excitement of Dean and Chris talk...shouldn't Eddy be doing the alternate for that one? "Hey esse! Why you hit me with that dropkick holmes. that wasn't right man"
Kardo 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2004 Okay, that took me about 15 seconds to order... Should have kept the original commentary for the Japanese matches, can't wait to hear Michael Cole and Tazz try to call them though.

WTF No TLC 3 or Smackdown matches? Maybe they are holding that back for the Jericholic dvd? There's a Jericho DVD in the works? I haven't heard a thing about that. Don't tease me, man! Back on topic, it would've been great to have the TLC3 match, the tag match versus Austin/HHH, or the Austin match from Smackdown, but really, they had to include a couple for historical value, even if they included previously released matches (RR03, WMXX) or inferior matches (vs Sid). But with those Japan matches, the Double Tables match, the Pillman tribute, and the Owen Tribute, I'm really hard-pressed to find any reasons to complain at all on this DVD. BTW, it's $20.49 on pre-order at amazon.com
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2004 I was hoping some of his matches against Raven, DDP, or that one Nitro against Sting would be on there, but that's a good selection. Can't wait. Some nice other extras on too. Props to the WWE Home Video Department.
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted June 1, 2004 I was actually thinking that for the japanese matches they would do the thing they did on Foley's DVD with the Sabu match and showed the match while the commentary team talks over it.
landy1987 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2004 i am glad there isnt much WWF footage as they would have to do a lot of editing to all mentions of "WWF" and the WWF scratch logo which would be on all the turnbuckle pad and camera mens t-shirts. For the cage match they dont have to do as much because the cage blocks most of the logos
Guest TigerDriver91 Report post Posted June 1, 2004 I cannot wait to get my hands on this DVD release. Should be interesting listening to the English commentary on the NJPW matches.

TheBigSwigg 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2004 I was actually thinking that for the japanese matches they would do the thing they did on Foley's DVD with the Sabu match and showed the match while the commentary team talks over it. I would prefer that as an option. I hate watching the Cactus-Sabu and the Cactus-Sting matches on the Foley DVD because I have to hear Coach the whole match

Agreed. I'd have prefered the Benoit/Austin match from either RAW or Smackdown from Canada in 2001. And no match with Malenko? Aww, I'm sure the Eddie DVD will more than make up for the lack of Malenko.
