I never understood why a person would do a drug that didn't get them high. The high of crystal meth is being up. What it basically does is up your heart rate to a ridiculous amount, causing a person to be extremely focused on certain tasks, stay awake for long periods of time, and not bother with such petty things as eating or sleeping (obviously being sarcastic for some of you dimmer folk out there). As TSM's resident ex-tweeker, my advice would be to talk to your friend rationally and figure out what causes him to do it. There's basically two types of tweekers... The casual users who do it when they're hanging around friends who just happen to have some and are doing it, and the hardcore tweeker whose lives revolve around doing anything possible to constantly have a supply and keep them going. Obviously casual users have the potential to become the hardcore type, but often times the casual ones don't really have the will to commit themselves to a drug that much, and so it's really a matter of convincing him that his friends are lowlife pieces of shit who won't be doing anything better with their lives in 5-10 years than being in jail or dead. What helped me eventually was moving out to Florida where I haven't found any crystal meth in any form whatsoever, but I felt that if my "good" friends had been there for me and hung out with me a bit more, I wouldn't have hung out with the tweeker crowd as much and thus would probably not have done it as much. But, as has been pointed out numerous times in this thread, it's mainly up to your friend to re-evaluate his life at this point and think about what's happening to him. If he's comfortable with his drug use, and rationalizes it completely, it'll take something drastic for him to realize what he's doing isn't good for him. I knew someone who was like that, and one day we were trying to call him and couldn't get ahold of him, so we broke into his house and found him in his room breathing heavily, obviously he had smoked way too much shit. So we jacked his baggies (to ensure he wouldn't do anymore of course) and let him suffer. Needless to say, he stopped right afterwards and checked himself into rehab, where he got better and stopped doing it... But crystal meth/speed/crank is a hell of a drug, and going through rehab isn't something that's an immediate solution.. Drug addiction is something you'll have to live with for the rest of your life once you've done it, and the only way you can really totally stop is to cut all the elements of what went into doing it altogether. The ultimate responsibility lies with the user. On the other hand, you can blame a dealer for selling to someone who's obviously hardcore addicted to the stuff. Look, you're looking at the wrong people to blame, regardless of the fact that the guy sold the drugs to her, you can't blame him for making money. If a person pressures someone else into doing something, it's up to the person to RESIST to that pressure and what's done in the past has been done already, so there's no point at looking at the dealer and wanting to deal with him, because he just does what he wants, and chances are you fuck with this guy and you'll be the one who regrets it. Your solution is to deal with the USER and get her to stop hanging around the dealer. I gave you plenty of advice a few posts up, now take it and put it to good use. Okay, that analogy is massively unfair but it gets the point accross rather well. What if someone sold drugs to my little sister? I'd be fine with that. Mainly because I doubt that this would happen. My sister is too scared to breathe at times, so I sincerely doubt that she'll be chasing the dragon any time soon. And even if, it's still her fault in the end. It's like sticking something in your mouth because it's shiny. Unless you're three years old you have no excuse to do that. Boohoo some people don't have the mental fortitude to resist the evil temptations of the world. Fuck them, either they learn to swim or they end up all sunk and dead and drownded. That's life. I got like that before. A friend of mine was hooked on percocets, and his dealer overcharged him like an extra 2 dollars a pill. I still owe that kid a beating.
