alfdogg 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2004 I guess Patrick. I really liked Kornheiser's show though.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2004 I do believe Fox Sports Radio reruns Mark Patrick on Sports from 12-3 (originally airs from 5-8 am), or at least they did before the local station switched over to Jim Rome. M.P.O.S. > EVERYTHING ELSE BIG NUTS Marvin (What is up big nuts?)
Guest Ghetto Bird Report post Posted July 3, 2004 There is nothing on the radio that is as good as Kornheiser's show was.
Guest Smues Report post Posted July 3, 2004 Kornheiser's show was where it was at. He's hinted he'll be back on local D.C. radio soon. Hopefully whatever station it is has a webcast.

razazteca 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2004 The only shows that I listen to are the Jim Rome Show and Tony Bruno on 760 AM but the reception is poor.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2004 I'm quite partial to my local radio station, the Sports animal, actually......
Cartman 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2004 Any show on WEEI Boston. Yes even Dale Arnold and Bob Neumier(sp?) Dennis and Callahan piss me off every morning with their backwards politics and Red Sox doom & Gloom but that's what draws me to the show.

EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2004 I enjoy listening to MLB radio on the web. Its generally more intelligent than most shows, and they often have major leaguers, minor leaguers, and executives on the show.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2004 Jime Rome is WAAAAAYYY too full of his own shit...but I like the show anyway. "GIVE ME BACK MY SON!"
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2004 Everyone except Sid, Jody, Adam Schien and the Continent on FAN sucks. I can't stand that station. ESPN is not much better, but they do have Michael Kay from 10-1, which is far and away the best sports talk radio show in New York. Most everything on either FAN or ESPN is pure trash with shitty hosts.

fairtoflair7 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2004 You might not like Mike and The MadDog but its a very entertaining show to listen too and watch. The are only a few show on WFAN that you can't really listen too.
Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted July 4, 2004 Kornheiser was awesome. The Patrick/Kornheiser made ESPN such an easy choice dunring work.
sfaJack 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2004 Jime Rome is WAAAAAYYY too full of his own shit Yeah, that's definitely right. What annoys me most about Rome though is that EVERYONE on his show, be it callers or guests, does nothing but either kiss his ass and say shit like "Yeah, Romey, yeah!" or agree with EVERYTHING Rome says when 80% of the time, he's totally and completely wrong. As for this poll, I guess I gotta say Dan Patrick even though we only get two hours of it on tape delay. Rome usually sucks, we don't get SNR or Fox anymore, and our "ESPN Radio" is only actually ESPN radio for about 6 hours a day (read: middle of the night) and half the weekend so I have no idea what the Herd is. kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2004 Rome is the sports alternative to my talk-radio station lineup when I'm at work...
razazteca 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Jim Rome does at times go off on crazy tangents with the viewer e-mail and the in-character callers mocking pop culture.
Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 WFAN was great 10 years ago but they've gone WAAAAY downhill.
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2004 I haven't listened to or watched Rome all that much, but what bugs me most about his show is all the dead air he lets go on. He'll say something, stop for like 15 seconds, and you'll hear him shuffling through papers in the background. It's really annoying.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2004 I'll lend another vote to Jim Rome. The thing I like is how he incorporates more then just sports. He will throw in some minor news stories of the more comedic nature. Also, ever since his Producer Jay Stewart got that part in the Heidi Fleiss movie, he somehow has connections to get actors on his show now. I have heard interviews with Ben Stiller and Angelina Jolie (among others) on Jim Rome' show, and he handles the interviews well even though he is from the sportsworld. I think it is funny how JT the Brick got a radio show basically, after winning Jim Rome's smackoff back in the day.
