ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 Greetings. As you know, my character has a shot at the United States Junior League championship at the PPV this Sunday. Since this is my first Pay Per View event, and I want to make this special... I need a brief history of the USJL championship. For I want to do a special promo video package for it before the match itself.

ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 Well, thank you for that. That will help. What I also need though is how the title formed and such. Thanks in advance.
Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 Well, for the origin of "USJL" (since I was actually around for that), when the Smarks Junior League merged into the SWF, the unified SJL World Title (also contained the SJL European Title) was to be unified with the SWF United States title. At the Clusterfuck PPV on February 1, 2004, the US Champion, Sacred, fought the SJL Champion, Landon Maddix. Sacred won and unified the titles. The USJL name was kept. Atlas 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 If you want to go back to the origin of the original title(s), they go like this: US: Up for grabs in the finals of a tournament at the original IGNWF Genesis on 10/29/2000, won by Outcast over Spike... JL: Contested on 10/29/2000 as well, with Fallout defeating Bobby Riley in another tournament final. On 1/26/04 Landon Maddix defeated Alan Clark and unified the European and World Junior League titles. Six days later, at Clusterfuck, he lost to Sacred and the title was unified with the SWF US title, thus becoming the USJL Championship. Interesting note: In addition to being the last man to win it, Sacred was the third man to hold the JL World title. Later in his career, among other accomplishments, he went on to win the US title over Bobby Riley. ::goes back under his rock::
Ace309 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 I owned it three times, with small breaks in between, for about three months. Following in Thoth's footsteps, I made footsteps for Ejiro to follow in, and he made footsteps for Landon. It's the Dick Heel Championship™.
Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 So that's why I've never won it! And here I thought that it was because I couldn't beat Craven... [tangent] How sad am I? I have a winning career record against six of the last eight world champions (and have never been booked against one of them), but I'm 0-3 lifetime against Michael F. Craven... [/tangent]

King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 Little (pointless) note. The USJL Championship is represented as one belt (the object that is) now, and was one belt during Sacred's reign, Stryke's reign and Coy's two reigns. When Maddix won it, it was called the "USJL Triple Crown" because in storyline, after the Junior Leauge went under, Maddix was given the JL European and World Title belts as 'keepsakes'. He carried around all three belts, and will do if I ever win it again. Right now, the JL European and JL World Title belts are probably in Maddix's basement or something. So Riley might still say that by right, Maddix still owns two thirds of the championship even though in SWF terms it's total bull and pure ego filler for me. HVilleThugg 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 Speaking of old...holy cow. Has it really been 3 years and 51 champions since I held the JL title. Sheesh. Although, it is comforting to know that I still hold the record for longest title reign. Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside...perhaps a 2314131th comeback is in order. Or not.
