I think the NAO and TLC would have gotten equally over if they didn't have the titles. All the titles did was give them context; not add importance or status.

Rebuttal: Without the belts, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn were JTTS and nothing more.

As for the tag titles, I won't agree. I think La Res' run will end up helping Rob Conway, who has the talent to achieve greatness, head down that path.

Rebuttal: Guys like Rob Conway and Nick Dinsmore are seemingly well respected for their abilities, it's their gimmicks that people dont like. Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin will also be very big in the not too distant future. Even Luther Reigns has been recognised as having potential. It's only the likes of Tyson Tomko and Heidenreich that give OVW a bad name.

Eh. Arguably the 3 best guys (in terms of ring skills) to come up all had amateur backgrounds (Brock, Haas, Banjamin). And even then, 1 of those guys (Haas) started in HWA. The only other guy of note to come through was Cena, and as discussed here, he's not really a "good" worker. Charisma & mic skills are his strong point.

Who else? Mordecai? Tomko? Heidenreich is still awful. Batista & Orton didn't show anything until after they were in the WWE for a while.

EDIT: forgot about Conway & Dinsmore. Yeah, they're pretty good in the ring. I wouldn't call Reigns an "OVW guy", though.

RebuttaL; There is no bloody way the top three guys as far as in-ring talent goes from ovw is Shelton, Haas and Lesnar. Randy Orton smokes Lesnar.

Statement #1:

The WWE should book Velocity and Heat like they used to book Heat back in 98-99, with at least one big match each show and even some occasional angle development or a big in-ring interview, instead of using it as a "squash match and clip show" show.

Statement #2:

The WWE writers give us no reason to care about 90% of the roster.

Are you high?

Lesnar is very overrated. His only true classic was vs Eddy. All his matches with Angle were as boring and overrrated as that crap Angle was putting on with Austin.

Randy Orton is way more natural in the ring. His facial expressions tell a story way better. His movements and actions always make sense while Lesnar really dosnt do anything extra special. Lesnar sells like shit and never worked a good match as a face. Randy is easily in the Top 5 in the WWE at Bumping and selling, while Lesnar is mediocore at best in both categories.

Rebuttal: They have been semi doing it with having Heat angles. Come to think of it, all those Heat angles have to do with Richards.

But yeah, I agree, because the B-Show ratings are just a disgrace right now.

It's funny how you shoot yourself in the foot by saying Lesnar has only had one classic with Guerrero and then turn around and criticize his selling and bumping, something he had in spades during that match.

And just so we're clear, Lesnar blows Orton out of the fucking water.

I'm not so sure about that. I mean, I agree with Rrrsh in sense that Lesner's best match was with Eddie. His matches with Angle weren't very good, in my opinion. Orton's had his best match with Benoit. I don't see how Lesner is drastically better than Orton.

I never once said that in the Eddie match his Bumping and selling was bad. But overall, he blows at them

You are high! Lesnar's bumping was extraordinary for someone his size and was way better than Orton's. Neither are/were especially good or bad at selling, so I'd put them about even in that aspect.

Orton's had 2 really good matches with Benoit, and after that? Possibly the Foley match, but I'd say his best was the Raw ME with RVD, and that wasn't great. Lesnar's title matches with Guerrero and Benoit were both excellent, and I for one thought all his matches with Angle were good at least. The Rock match, HIAC with Taker and title defence against Rey were all better than anything Orton's done without Benoit.

Statement: I don't know how anyone could call Angle/Lesnar's matches boring. Espically Wrestlemania 19, which told a great story. The matches after that weren't up to par with their Wrestlemania 19 classic, but they weren't boring. I thought people underrate the Ironman match. I mean it wasn't a ***** classic, but it wasn't a bad match. It was **** IMO.

Strange as I think the SummerSlam match was the best match in the series. WM 19 was kind of boring. The ironman match was solid I thought. Lesnar is better than Orton. Orton has been surrounded with Flair and Triple H, while Lesnar was pushed on his own and originally with Heyman.

Don't forget that Big Show's best matches in years were against Brock.

Brock also had a pretty good match w/ Palumbo.

And as for a "top 5 bumper", Orton routinely looks awkward falling over the top rope to the outside.

Brock was/is the best big man to come along to the WWE in ages. HIs size, strength, look and athleticism made him something special.

Orton is just another OVW white boy, albeit one who is improving.

Statement: Kane is going through a similar path as The Undertaker with bad storylines, but by this time next year, Kane will be one of the top superstars again.

Well yeah. He always has a world title program every year, so chances are he'll have one next year too. A full time main eventer though? Probably not. He just gets the goofiest storylines.

Rebuttal- Kane is one of the top superstars.

Statement- We are about due a ladder match and Randy Orton should be in it, to hide his flaws while delivering a good championship match.

Just to add to this, I felt WM 19 told a better story, but the SS rematch was the better match. The Iron Man was okay.

True. He can put on a decent match with a good wrestler, he has the look, and is popular enough for a run. Plus, the ratings don't lie.

Quasi-rebuttal: Kane hasn't had a good match in years. The last good one (keeping in mind I don't watch PPV's) I remember was against Angle on SD at least 2 years ago.

On the NAO and TLC:

The New Age Outlaws got over due mainly to crowd participation along with being in DX - the hot group at the time. It wasn't the titles that got them over and they didn't get over the titles. If that were the case, then their post 99 run would have been successful.

TLC got over because of the insane bumps. Who won or lost didn't really matter.

On Lesnar

Lesnars match with Benoit on Smackdown molests Ortons match with Benoit. Lesnar had a kick-ass HIAC with Taker, had good matches with Hogan and Palumbo, his match with Eddie was better than anything Orton has done (and I like Orton to a point, who's best match was against Billy Kidman FYI), and his ring work generally was better. His mat work was better, his submissions and use of submissions was better, his moves were crisper and more impressive, his range was greater, and he simply had "more tools" than Orton has and probably ever will have.

His matches with Rey were predictable, his HIAC was pathetic and his Angle matches were boring. His only good matches are with the Top 2 workers in the Fed. I will take any of Orton's Tag match on RAW recently vs the combo of Jericho, Benjerman, Benoit and Edge, his Foley match or his Edge match at Bad Blood over anything Lesnar did with anyone but Benoit and Eddy.
