bobobrazil1984 Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 I hope Locke deliberatly blew up the house so as to not get off the island (his legs?). Remember Locke hitting Sayid waaayy back in season 1.
Lord of The Curry Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 If Locke blew up the house to intentionally stay on the island then why did next weeks preview show him telling Ben that he wants the sub?
treble Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 To make sure no one else gets it? He does have that C4, after all. He can blow it up.
Lord of The Curry Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 I'm still not completely buying Locke sabotaging the rescue effort. Possibility? Sure but that's as much as I'll acknowledge. How are we supposed to take the bird thing seriously when the bird likely set down in the water a few miles offshore of the island to rest/feed and the note was likely ruined? They could've at least made an attempt at showing Charlie and Claire figure out a way to keep the note safe and dry. Or if Sayid was around have him build a homing beacon thingy out of a cell phone and coconut and attach it to the bird.
dubq Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 A solid episode. Wow, two in a row, I'm impressed. Could've done without the Charlie stuff - as usual - but the Locke stuff was great. Also, as far as the birds goes, whos to say what scientists tagged them? Could've been someone already on the island?
Ravenbomb Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 Solid enough episode, but I really don't like Jack's dad being Claire's dad. I know there've been plenty of other links between characters, but still. This one I don't like.
Lord of The Curry Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 Agreed. This just seemed like they were doing it because they can.
Ravenbomb Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 Later, we'll reveal that he was the real Sawyer and caused Locke to be paralyzed. Jack's dad was a dick.
Lord of The Curry Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 Nah, Locke's dad is the real Sawyer.
C Dubya 04 Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 They've really been showing Jack's dad as Claire's dad all along. It wasn't even a bit surprising to me. I really liked the episode though. It made me very excited for next week, which the good ones always seem to do.

I know there've been plenty of other links between characters, but still. This one I don't like. This has been hinted at many times, though. I'm surprised that some people didn't see it coming. Also - useless Paulo also played the giant transvestite-ish Xerxes in 300? I didn't even recognize him.
Guest Vitamin X Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 I thought this was great, particularly the hint at Jack doing the heel turn at the end. I feel I may have missed something though; weren't Jack and Tom on the other island?
Ravenbomb Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 I never said I didn't suspect it. I just don't like it.
Craig Th Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 I feel I may have missed something though; weren't Jack and Tom on the other island? They "work" on the other island but live on the main island.
C Dubya 04 Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Yeah, and at the end of the episode a few weeks back where Sawyer and Kate escaped, Jack and the Others were shown taking the boat across to the village.
Youth N Asia Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 So Jack with the others is pretty much one of three things 1. He's playing along till he can escape 2. He's been brainwashed 3. Or he's given in and enjoying life. So is this what Ben meant by him going "home?"
AboveAverage484 Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 You know, an evil part of me wants Charlie to get the axe but then I think how devastated Claire would potentially be, and I rethought it, since, you know, she's my future wife you know
Ravenbomb Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 And lives on a magical island with smoke monsters and southern Trekkies.
dubq Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 HOLY SHIT! (Canadians will know what I'm talking about here)
Zetterberg is God Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 Yep, Locke episodes continue to be the best of the series.
dubq Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 Totally pleased with the last three episodes - this one being the best so far, IMO. Finally an episode that contains lots of the Others, but doesn't FOCUS on them as main characters!
RavishingRickRudo Posted March 22, 2007 Author Report Posted March 22, 2007 OH SHIT! Jack is going to FUCK LOCKE UP. Well, there ya go. He got gored.
Lord of The Curry Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 I cannot fucking believe the reactions here. Seriously. That ending was nothing but complete and utter dogshit. I mean, this show has reached before but what happened there was a complete and total insult to the fans. I can't fucking wait until Jacks' dad, Kate's mother, Sayid's girlfriend and Sawyers daughter turn up on the island . I am so very close to bumping this show down to "If I miss an episode it's ok" status. I think Lost fans, so long as they get a "HOLY SHIT" ending will be pleased with anything, however absolutely fucking stupid it may be.

You obviously haven't seen any of my posts prior to the previous three episodes
keith6601 Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 I'd be fucking ecstatic if the end was result was having to stay in a wheelchair after that shit.
dubq Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 Well, you don't know how he got there. So how about waiting until it's explained before saying it's dogshit. It's pretty obvious that the Others or whoever have done their research and have even tracked some of the survivors in the past. Why is it such a stretch that they kidnapped Locke's father?
Lord of The Curry Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 I don't give a fuck about it being a stretch. I'm talking about this show having ZERO clue where they're going or what they're doing. I mean, once we knew how Locke got paralyzed it became glaringly obvious what the ending was going to be. As somebody who's watched since the first season (when they, ya know, had good writing) I can't believe it's come to his. Guess who's showing up next week? The one-armed farmer that Kate knew. HOLY SHIT OMG IT'S BACK TO BEING GOOD.
